Amenities includes 1BR, 1baths, with walk-in closet, Livingroom, kitchen, dining room, shared laundry, office space, WIFI, TV with Verizon cable and large hallway, 5 cars garage, large yard, basketball hoop, Patio overlooking a relaxing park, and a huge back and side yard for dog walking or just relaxing and unwinding while enjoying deer and nature watching.
GAMES: Chess/Checkers, board Games, including a Pool Table and a foosball table are available on demand. Please let the host know that before booking.
Pet NOTE: Pet fees is $45 per pet and per night. Additional pet is extra, up to 2 pets per night per guest

Visiting family

I didn't receive additional information about getting in to the property upon arrival, but finally found a phone #. He was helpful and I was able to get in. I was pleased with the overall cleanliness, but the bedroom carpet seemed a little damp. As I was there for a funeral, I spent a lot of time with family and not much time at the property. The location was ideal for me.

Awesome stay!

I was looking for a dog-friendly place where I could decompress after more than 24 hours of travel with my two energetic dogs and where there was parking and enough room bc I had to add a trailer to my car. I had several questions before I arrived, and the owners were very responsive. Once there, there were a few minor issues, and the owner responded very timely and with solutions. Overall, it was a great stay and I had a chance to meet Jean and he was such a nice guy!! For anyone looking at this property, I do think it's helpful to know that the 1BR that is available is a portion of the house, and has the same entrance as another VRBO property (I think the owners split the basement into two units). I felt incredibly comfortable and safe there, but I know from reading VRBO comments in general, people like ot know these things, so worth mentioning. Also, the property is not entirely fenced, and in the home book, it requests that dogs remain on leash and there are parts of the property they ask them to not go on. This can work just fine for some dogs, but not for others, so very good to know in advance.

Villa

The overall property is need of repair and cleaning. The fence around the property was missing and damaged. Piles of concrete padding and material from renovations were piled and not covered. Steps to back of property leading to room lacked handrails. The new concrete steps were slick. The room was very well decorated. Parts of the walls were damaged. The two blinds in windows were broken.. The furnace ran constantly due to the other visitors kept raising the thermostat. The price of the stay was reasonable due to the conditions. Very quiet at night other than furnace noise. Very well lite both on the outside and inside. The kitchen dishwasher was a mess. The oven was usable. The toaster was broken. Plates and silverware were very clean and well organized. Dining area was very nice and comfortable. The same for living room and bedroom. The bathroom was very clean and nice. Overall it is fine place to stay

Not a Vrbo in my opinion

It was a house but it was divided into section. The thermostat was shared with another unit an our unit was soooo hot and uncomfortable even after I lowered the heat. We ended up leaving a day early because we could not sleep well due to the unit temperature.

Quiet and secluded location

Just what we were looking for, a quiet location in the country with plenty of privacy. The setting is very nice and the room was very comfortable and homey. The host was friendly and responsive. Very helpful that they accepted pets, as we had to take our small dog along on this trip. Would definitely recommend.

Loved my stay!

Villa on the Potomac was lovely! I flew to MD to visit family and friends. I wanted a “little house” where I would be comfortable and where family or friends could spend a few relaxing hours at my place. The Villa was perfect! It was beautiful inside and quiet outside. The bed was very comfy and having access to my own kitchen fit the bill. It’s conveniently located to a very nice grocery store. Jean was readily available and quickly answered all my questions. I look forward to staying at the Villa on the Potomac the next time I’m in MD.

Exactly as described- wonderful

Very nice, well kept villa. Owner very friendly. Needed a place to take our dog away from the 4th fireworks and this was the perfect spot.

Secluded and Private

While the rest of the house was being used by others, the entire suite was sectioned off and private, very secluded spot. Jean was easy to communicate with, no issues at all. Good for a quiet getaway with some nearby wineries.

Nice and peaceful stay at Jean's place. Just a 20 minute drive to parking for the metro. So many things to see in DC but it was always nice to return to our quite spot. Able to watch the deer with our morning coffee. The house had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. We would recommend for anyone to stay here. Thank you so much for the place to stay.

A Happy Place

Disappointing - left early and booked another place

Misleading - this is not a villa on the Potomac rather it's a basement apartment with the owner(s) living above. Upon arrival, the place seemed fine but then realized the place was lacked the basic necessities (see below) and proper cleaning. Also, the host refused to provide us with a lock and code for the main door to the foyer which raised safety concerns (stated that the cleaners needed access at all times). The owner also accused us of trying to lodge our dogs for free due to a glitch in the VRBO system that omitted our dogs from being on the reservation (despite having searched/selected with 2 pets as a requirement). And despite paying a daily pet, he is trying to file a damage claim for "pet hair." Concerns: 1. Only one roll of toilet paper provided - not useable/ looked like something had been chewing on it 2. No garbage bags, hand or bar soap, dishwasher pods, and other basic necessities 3. Only two bath towels, one hand towel, and one wash cloth - old and weathered 4. Moldy filter and moldy coffee in the coffee pot 5. Unsanitary pillows - pillow cases did not cover the pillows (standard cases on king size pillows!) 6. Filthy coffee mugs, limited cooking/eating utensils and kitchenware 7. Unable to connect to Internet via router for work (has never been an issue for us at other stays) 8. Backyard is big but looked junky 9. Owner's "Guide and Rules" manual is ridiculously long - about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick!

Terrific spot

Great place on the outskirts of the MD DC suburbs. Very comfortable apt with wonderful backyard. Jean was great and easy to communicate with. Would recommend to anyone looking for a convenient place off the beaten path

Grandpa 89 and Grandma almost 80 visit a few grandchildren and children in MD and VA

It was a great quiet place to be inside and outside. We loved the woods, big lawn and small patio area. The kitchen was up to date. We did not use the dishwasher, The kitchen had great new spices and a spotless refrigerator and freezer. The design of the living area and bedroom was restful and elegant. The welcome book was especially complete and useful, eventhough we are quite familiar with the area. There are fun places to explore in the area in addition to D.C. and it is a beautiful drive back and forth to Potomac, MD. Hope to stay there again. Thank you to Jean Danielle.

The property is located in a beautiful wooded are that's close to town for shopping. The rooms were clean and nice and really enjoyed the kitchen and laundry set up.
