Holiday home in a beautiful natural setting on a farm in the Verkeån Nature Reserve in northern Österlen. The house forms part of an older farmstead, and with five bedrooms and a kitchen, there is plenty of space. The furnishings are simple but functional and full of character. On the 5,000 m² plot, you can spot roe deer, red deer and small game in the surrounding area. There is plenty to experience and see nearby. Head to Lake Verkasjön, where you can try your hand at fishing with a fishing licence. At Christinehof Castle, you can learn more about alum mining and its history. In the castle’s nature park, signposted trails bring you closer to nature. You can also visit the glassworks in Norra Bjöstorp, Glimmingehus – a medieval castle – the fascinating Ales Stenar rock formations near Kåseberga, and Forsakar in Degeberga, Skåne’s highest waterfall. In summer, Ystad Zoo and the Tosselilla Sommarland amusement park are also a big draw, especially for children.
