Great communication and accommodating

The property was perfect for our group of co-workers and close to our job location. Zafar was helpful and accomodating to our needs.

Misleading (not luxury), dirty and ill equipped

House has 3 bathrooms not 4 as advertised. House was not properly cleaned (bathrooms filthy, floors sticky, deck full of spilled drinks). Did not have any drinking glasses, no toaster, no spices (salt or pepper), and limited cooking utensils. The pantry is locked, garage is locked, den is locked and basement is locked. Guests forced to use decorative pillows to sleep (no real sleep pillows). This is FAR from a luxury residence.

Thanks you for a "very" dishonest review. This house is also listed on AB&B with over 46 reviews with an average of 4.8 stars. I cannot eliminate one full bathroom. The house does have 4 bathrooms (one bathroom is a Jack-n-Jill with separate vanity bathrooms and attached shower and toilet. The property is cleaned by a professional cleaning company that has a five star rating and charges $375/cleaning...so I'll pass on that comment. I think your "real" complaint was no spices and toaster. The listing clearly states that garage and basements are not included in the rental. As far as sleeping pillows...each bed has not two but four pillows. Finally, this is a million dollar property...you need to be worth it to stay in it. Will I rent you again. Thanks but NO THANKS!

Mislead

The property seemed very clean from the front appearance. The garage area and the master suite was not accessible. Although I knew the basement was not a part of my rental for the weekend, I was not aware that the host had the bottom area and possibly the master suite rented to other unknown guests during the same time as my stay. Had my daughter NOT taking my grandson dirty diaper outside to the trash only to find two unknown vehicles parked beside me we would never have known there were other people in the house. I told my daughter earlier that night that I thought I heard something. But I brushed it off and thought it was maybe the surround sound on the TV being too loud. I am still having anxiety from that experience months later. This property was not advertised as a shared rental. That is false advertising. I had to make other arrangements for myself and other guest that were supposed to arrive the next day. Because of this experience I will NEVER do another vacation rental.

Thank you for your review Valarie. The good thing about this review is you are partially HONEST. It's unfortunately not my responsibility to read the description of the rental. The listing said very clearly that the basement is used by owner (us) which we use if we are in town for this year we only stayed 3 times for a couple of days. The house is designed to have this area completely separate from the main house. We don't have anyone staying in the house except the guests. When you clearly and raised your concern I tried to explain and help you instead you called the cops? My property is in a very prestigious neighborhood and we never had authorities coming to our door. We had a terrible experience with you and will not rwnt you again.

Very nice home—with a few issues

This is a very nice home in a great neighborhood and in a great location. However, we had a number of cleaning and maintenance issues that we didn’t feel were adequately addressed during our stay. With respect to maintenance, the downstairs toilet did not work, not did the upstairs air conditioning. From a cleanliness standpoint, the downstairs bedroom only had one sheet on the bed (no fitted sheet) and we found a pillow left in the middle of the stairwell and an empty soda can in an upstairs bedroom. We don’t think our concerns were adequately addressed—our host told us to turn the water to the toilet on and off if we wanted to use it because it leaked, to go into the attic to press a panel to get the upstairs air to work (which was impossible because there was no handle on the ceiling door to the attic stairs), and to move sheets from another bedroom to the downstairs bedroom. We didn’t think this response was adequate. Upon our departure, we asked for a refund of our housekeeping fee because of the issues we experienced, but never received a response from the host. Again, it is a very nice home, but renters should beware of potential issues.

Thank you Steven for your review. We've addressed the issue with A/C and toilet. The A/C was tripped because of extensive heat and needed restart. I have the A/C replaced and so is the leaky toilet. Your concerns about cleaning or the bed with one sheet I unfortunately can not confirm as the house is cleaned by a professional cleaning company.
