Ocean Shores cozy chalet located within steps from the beach

Tidal House offers a convenient location and a cozy atmosphere. This recently remodeled 1960's chalet is the perfect beach getaway! A 7-minute walk to the beach on beautiful sunny days and enjoy watching the deer graze in the grass right outside your window!

We won't be available on-site but we check our messages frequently and will be available to communicate during your stay if any issues arise or if you have questions.

Tidal House is in the heart of Ocean Shores, surrounded by other lodging businesses, and is within walking distance to the beach, shopping (including a supermarket if you need to stock your fridge), bike rentals, and restaurants. Additionally, it is just a one-minute drive from the main beach access point.

During your stay, if you listen closely you'll be able to hear the waves inside from the chalet.

Enjoy the wildlife! There's a high deer population in Ocean Shores and you're likely to experience several sightings during your stay... sometimes even right outside your window!

This unit is part of a 1960's chalet-style duplex. Guests have a private entrance and full private use of their chalet. Unit access is provided via digital key code, so you can directly access it upon your check-in time.

Guests receive one parking space directly next to the entrance to their unit.

Expecting visitors?
Additional visitor parking is located on the south side of the property (near the Grey Gull). Please ensure that your visitors do not park in spaces designated for neighboring units.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENT
Please be aware that the main sleeping area is on the 2nd level.

This chalet sleeps up to 5 individuals and is part of a vacation rental duplex in a chalet-style building. The chalet includes two spaces upstairs, one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed. One space upstairs is in an open concept at the top of the stairs. The other room has a door that closes, but the ceiling is open between the two rooms (so it's not soundproof). Additionally, the couch on the first floor turns into a day bed allowing sleeping for one guest.

FIREPLACE NOTE
The fireplace is not functioning, but we have electric candles (with a remote) that provide a nice ambiance.

KITCHEN
The Chalet includes a full-size range, dinnerware, pots and pans, a microwave, and a full fridge/freezer. Guests are required to wash all dishes they use, as there is not a dishwasher.

DUPLEX
Please note that these are duplexes, so the walls are shared with one other guest.

The beach is within easy walking distance. If you'd prefer to drive to the beach, it's about a one-minute drive to the main beach access road on W Chance A La Mer NW. There is free parking just before the beach with public restrooms or, during most of the year, driving and parking on the beach are allowed. Yes, you read that right: You can drive on the beach! If you choose to drive on the beach, be cautious. Be sure to stay out of the soft stand and plan for the tides if you plan to leave your vehicle unattended for a while. Getting your vehicle stuck in the sand and/or water is never fun!

Taxi service and Uber are available and there is also a nearby bike rental store.

NO PARTIES
We asks that guests do not have parties and keep noise levels to a minimum out of consideration for the neighbors. We strive to provide a peaceful getaway near the beach. Quiet hours after 10 pm.

FIRES
We currently do not allow bonfires on the property.

SAND
We also suggest removing shoes at the door after a visit to the beach to avoid excessive sand in the chalet.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT
Our check-in time is at 3:00 PM, and our check-out is at 11:00 AM. We have strict cleaning protocols for our cleaning crew and cannot be flexible with early check-in or late check-outs.

ELECTRIC CAR CHARGING
Electric car charging on the property is not permissible as it could provide a safety hazard. The electrical systems are not set up for car charging. The closest EV car charging 3.9 miles away at Quinault Beach Resort and Casino.

DAMAGE
Any damage caused during your stay will be charged to you. Smoking of any kind (including vaping) is not allowed inside the chalets. A $250 fee will be applied if a guest smokes indoors.

Great place near the ocean!

This was perfect for our weekend trip to Ocean Shores for my family and our dog! While you can't see the ocean from the unit, it is on the ocean side of the street and a very short walk to the beach. It was cozy, comfortable, and clean and our host was fantastic. There was even a basket with dog toys and a dog bowl! Would absolutely stay here again.

Nice Cabins

Unfortunately, we were only able to stay 2 nights at Ocean Shores. The cabins were nice, quite and well supplied. A short walk to the beach, and to the stores. Owners were responsive, and prompt in answering any questions, and took the time to make our stay enjoyable. Next time we will stay longer!

Family Weekend get away

Enjoyed our stay. Lovely little Unit . Only complaint would be the house needs some ventilation , especially in the kitchen when cooking. Stove was under the stairs with no lighting or fan.

Spotless; immaculately kept. Wish I had understood the photo showing that the second bedroom was only accessible through the first one, but that isnā€™t the ownerā€™s fault. Beds were very comfortable. Instructions for checking in and checking out were clear and easy to navigate.

Cabins were neat, definitely great for dog owners, it was a bit cold and you could hear the neighbors through the shared wall but not bad. Also not really steps to the beach, once you find the dunes there are lots of ponds that made the beach somewhat inaccessible this time of year.

It's a 10 minute walk to the beach, which is beautiful. Even in July, weekdays in Ocean Shores are not crowded. We met the cleaners when we arrived and they were super nice. But a window and window shades were broken, there was garbage left under the foldout couch. The bathroom has a shower, no tub, if you have small children that's good to know.

We went upstairs and took her stuff up. I realized how hot it was upstairs went to go turn the fans on and realized how dirty the fans were. I happen to look underneath the beds and they were very dirty underneath not swept there was garbage under them and hair. Also thereā€™s no nightstand to put our drinks on so we used a chair from the dining room room. I also noticed none of the rugs get swept underneath. We pulled out the height of bed. The mattress cover was very dirty. There were bobby pins hair, a dog toy, and the inside of the cushions underneath were very dirty. Also, there was no coffee filter for the coffee pot.

Nothing like the pictures

It was not on the Ocean! Not even able to see it from any part of the house! As you look out the big window you ONLY see trees and bushes! We had to drive to see the ocean! Very disappointing! We had to walk through one bedroom to get to the other bedroom! Shade was broken on the back bedroom! Could not open the window. Very stuffy! You need a window that open in that bedroom! Very limited on outlets! Supple of towels was very limited! Windows filthy dirty! So disappointing!!! I will be putting a review on your VRBO.

Did not state when booking that there was a steep stairway to get to the bedrooms. There was hardly any lighting from the street or property to locate it. There were not enough towels for 4 people for a 2 day stay. There was not enough coffee or creamer for a 2 day stay. We killed 5 rather large spiders inside the unit.

Nice place for a weekend retreat with dogs and a friend

We had a lovely stay here. Appreciated the thoughtful basket with treats and toy for dogs. Suggestion: If your dog jumps on beds, bring an x-pen or gate to keep him/her downstairs. The unit is a lovely, open layout with no actual doors between living and sleeping spaces.
