The Style Studio is the kind of Fort Worth getaway that may tempt you to cancel a few plans and stay in.
Tucked behind a 1924 home, this private, boutique-style guesthouse gives up to 7 guests a design-forward escape centered around a backyard that changes with the time of day. Mornings begin quietly above the pool. Afternoons are made for the water. After dark, the lights come on, the mural begins to glow, and the entire space takes on a different personality.
With a resort-style pool, hot tub, outdoor cinema, 3-hole putting green, cornhole, custom mural, and multiple lounge areas, The Style Studio is designed for couples, families, girls’ weekends, wedding guests, TCU visitors, and respectful small groups.
It is just 2 miles from TCU and within easy reach of Magnolia Avenue, Dickies Arena, the Cultural District, and the Fort Worth Stockyards. The location makes exploring Fort Worth easy, but the backyard may make leaving difficult.
THE EXPERIENCE
Start your morning with coffee on the private balcony overlooking the pool. There is no rush and nowhere you need to be immediately.
Later, stretch out on a lounger beside the water, cool off beneath the waterfall, play a round of cornhole, or see who can master the 3-hole putting green. Fire up the propane grill, gather around the covered outdoor dining table, and let the afternoon unfold at its own pace.
The backyard truly comes alive after sunset. String lights warm the space, colorful lighting reflects across the water, and the custom Fort Worth mural becomes part of the scenery. Slip into the hot tub, settle around the fire pit, or watch a movie outside beneath the lights.
This is not simply a guesthouse with a pool. The entire stay is built around slowing down, spending time together, and enjoying the spaces between whatever brought you to Fort Worth.
INSIDE THE STUDIO
Inside, the open-concept layout feels comfortable, connected, and intentionally designed.
The king bed anchors the studio, while the large sectional, full kitchen, dining space, and coffee bar create an easy flow for cooking, relaxing, and spending time together. Everything shares one open environment, which makes the studio especially well suited to couples and close-knit groups.
Standard sleeping arrangements include:
1. One king bed for 2 guests
2. One queen sleeper sofa for 2 guests
3. One twin bed for 1 guest
These standard sleeping surfaces accommodate up to 5 guests.
For groups of up to 7, one 6-inch queen tri-fold foam floor mattress is provided for 2 additional guests. This supplemental mattress unfolds at floor level in the open living area. It is not a permanent bed or separate bedroom, and using it reduces the available floor space.
The studio is most spacious for couples and smaller groups. Guests using every sleeping surface should expect a cozier, shared sleeping experience.
Coffee is taken seriously here. The coffee bar includes a French press, pour-over, coffee grinder, Keurig, drip coffee maker, and electric kettle, giving everyone their preferred way to start the day.
High-speed Wi-Fi reaches throughout the guesthouse and outdoor areas, whether you need to work, stream a movie, or stay connected between adventures.
THE BACKYARD RESORT
The backyard is not an extra amenity. It is the heart of The Style Studio.
The resort-style pool features a waterfall and tanning deck, surrounded by artificial turf, five pool loungers, umbrellas, and multiple places to settle in. The hot tub, fire pit, covered outdoor dining area, propane grill, and permanent outdoor movie screen carry the experience from daytime relaxation into late-evening conversation.
The 3-hole putting green and cornhole add a little friendly competition, while the colorful lighting and custom mural give the space a look and atmosphere of its own.
Pool heating is available for $300 for stays of up to two nights, plus $100 for each additional night.
The backyard feels intimate, playful, and resort-like, but never anonymous. It was designed to be experienced, not merely photographed.
PRIVACY AND PROPERTY SETTING

The Style Studio is tucked behind a 1924 main residence on the same residential property. It feels removed from the street and has its own distinct atmosphere, but it should not be considered secluded or completely isolated.
Access to the guesthouse requires stairs. Please consider this before booking if anyone in your group has limited mobility.

THE MODERN NOMADS DIFFERENCE
The Style Studio is part of Life of the Modern Nomads, a locally owned collection of design-forward vacation rentals across Fort Worth and Lake Granbury.
Created by owners with more than two decades of building and design experience, each Modern Nomads property is meant to have its own point of view. The details should feel thoughtful, the experience should feel dependable, and the setting should give you a reason to remember where you stayed.
The goal is simple: give guests a distinctive place to slow down, reconnect, and experience Fort Worth in a way an ordinary hotel never could.
