Nature Nook Cabin, your peaceful hideaway ~ 25 mins to the Dells

Take it easy at this unique and tranquil getaway. At 350 sq feet, this quaint cabin for two is cozy and comfortable. Nature Nook sits on the hill of a 3 acre lake peninsula shared only by the host's home.

The cabin has both a front, screened in patio and a back deck over-looking a marsh where you can observe many species of water fowl. You can also sit at the fire pit surrounded by trees. Across the drive are walking paths through the woods down to the lake-front. It is lovely to look at...but too weedy to go swimming.

Kitchen is smaller, with a microwave, toaster oven and dual hotplate for cooking. Gnomes watch over the coffee nook with a Keurig, a selection of k-cups to get you started, and a refillable k-cup if you want to bring your own grounds. There is also a gas grill in front of the cabin, by the seating area.

Please note that this is a small cabin, with a small kitchen and small bathroom. There is a photo of the shower basin to demonstrate the size. Also, we are about half a mile from a railway crossing where they do blow their horns. It has not been an issue, but we want to be transparent.

Our property is surrounded on all sides by nature including: a lake, DNR marshland and woods. You will probably see or encounter wildlife during your stay at the Nature Nook. This could include: deer, rabbits, owls, eagles, foxes, black squirrels, mice, ants, mosquitoes, lake flies, giggers, or spiders. These creatures reside in nature, and while we take steps to secure the cabin, we ultimately have little control over Mother Nature.

Parking is free and directly in front of the cabin. Oxford is located in beautiful Marquette County. A short driving distance to Wisconsin Dells and all it has to offer. Enjoy Devils Lake State Park, John Muir Park, Cascade Mountain, snowmobile trails, hiking, boating, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hunting and ice fishing...just to name a few of the opportunities available in our beautiful and nature-filled area of Central Wisconsin.

Tucked away

Overall, I'll stay at the cabin was very pleasant. We had access to kayaks to a couple docks. The little nature walk that is on the property was very pleasant. We both enjoyed the sounds of the birds in the morning and the sounds of the animals of the lake at night. This little cabin is perfect for a little getaway. We will definitely be coming back.

What a wonderful nook in natureā€™s majesty! We couldnā€™t have asked for more from our stay. The Nook was well-appointed, cozy, comfy, and minutes away from the Dells. HIGHLY recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing stay around premium entertainment!

Mike and Jen provided everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. We particularly enjoyed the fire pit and kayaks on the lake. Owners were helpful and easy to work with. Will definitely stay here again if weā€™re ever back in the area.

Peaceful and Relaxing

We stayed for 5 nights. We loved absolutely every moment !! Everything about this Nature Nook was thought out and set up in such a way as to make it feel like home from the moment you pulled into the drive. We really enjoyed the lake and the bird watching was awesome. We saw geese and sandhill cranes and blue herons and bald eagle as well as kingfishers and several types of woodpeckers. And the chipmunk on the deck was so cute !! We needed some serious R&R and we got it ! Can not wait to go back !!!

Cozy cabin in peaceful location

Adorable cabin tucked in the woods but close to amenities. Quiet and peaceful. There was nothing we needed, it was all there! Private deck and bonfire area. Lake with trail nearby. Loved all the gnomes! Highly recommend!

Cozy Cabin

My fiance and I stayed here for our 10-year anniversary and loved it. The location is great. We had fun kayaking on the lake! The cabin was adorable, private, and had everything we needed. Air conditioning in the bedroom was appreciated during the summer. The hosts and their pup were very nice. We would definitely come back!

Anniversary vacation

Our trip to the Nook was absolutely amazing. Iā€™m so glad I read the reviews. It was nice that they posted a picture on measurements of shower, we truly appreciated that. It made us feel safe with the door keypad lock. The cabin is well maintained. It truly felt comfy and cozy during our stay. The communication with property manager was perfect. We loved how quiet it was. We definitely would love to stay here again!

Wonderful stay close to the Dells!

I absolutely loved the stay at the Nature Nook. It was easy to find and very close to the Dells, about 20 mins. It was clean and had everything we needed from bug spray to grilling tools etc. it was super quiet and right by the lake. I enjoyed making a fire and making sā€™mores in the pit behind the house. Lots of bugs outside, so be prepared! Highly recommend! The hosts also responded quickly if anything was needed. Thanks so much again for the hospitality!

Peaceful stay

My wife and I had a lovely stay. The cabin was perfectly tiny. The nook is located on the ownerā€™s property and they were very helpful and friendly. The marsh was lovely at night and the lake had lots of critters to find. Wonderful place.

No complaints with the stay, the cabin was well kept and clean. Has an AC and Heat what else can you ask for in a cabin lol. The cabin is approximately 30 minutes away from downtown dells. Stay here!

A Fantastic Getaway

The hosts were incredibly hospitable and welcoming with this beautiful property in a secluded location. The cabin itself had a warm, rustic feel to it and truly made it a wonderful experience overall. Plenty of outdoor activities in the area if you want to venture out and explore a bit. It was a great time, and I would strongly recommend it!

We have always dreamed of owning a lake-house for our retirement. Finding one that already had a couples get-away cabin on property was like a dream come true. We love meeting new people and sharing our little slice of nature with them.

We acknowledge that country-living is not for everyone. But we love being in the woods and seeing a variety of wildlife in our own backyard. Enjoying the quiet and going for days without seeing anyone else ... just taking the time to relax and recharge in nature is amazing.
