Sandpiper Cove is Holiday Isle's princess, with private gated beach access, 2 on-site restaurants, beachside food, drinks, and restrooms, and a 9 hole chip and put golf course that is free to all residents. The 24-hour security entrance offers a safe and secure environment for you and your children. There are 5 pools and 3 hot tubs to choose from within the complex, all within walking distance.

Sandpiper Cove Resort, unit 9106, is a full 1-bedroom condominium, with hallway bunk beds, and a sleeper sofa, allowing up to 6 people to sleep comfortably. This beautifully decorated, beach theme condo is located just inside the front gate of the resort, allowing quick and easy beach access. The Beach Walk community within the Sandpiper Cove Resort is the newest addition to the complex, offering up-to-date amenities and modern layouts.

Inside the gates of this breathtaking resort, you will find yourself in your own world. Enjoy morning and afternoon walks throughout the lush landscape, and even take in a few holes of golf before breakfast. Its free to all residents, so just find the nearest hole and join in the fun. You will be within walking distance to your own private on-site restaurant. This is the Louisiana Lagniappe, which has a beautiful view of the Destin Harbor.

Have a boat? Then you may enjoy the boat slips within the Sandpiper Cove (permitting may be required). This slip joins the Destin Harbor where all the fishing action begins. There is a boat ramp on site, but you will be required to store your trailer off-site. There are many nearby storage lots for your choosing. (Please make arrangements in advance).

As for location, it doesn't get any better than this. You will be staying in the heart of Destin where everyone wishes to be. But, as a resident of Sandpiper Cove, you will not have to worry about nearby noise or stepping out into traffic. You may forget that you are only minutes from everything. Once you leave the gates, you will have all of Destin's attractions at your fingertips.

This property is professionally managed, which ensures that you will receive friendly, professional service from reservation to departure. Your vacation accommodations will be clean and functional. We are local and provide same day assistance, and If you need anything during your stay, you can be assured that our courteous staff will be happy to assist you in any way.

COVID-19:
This property is available for occupancy. Your health and safety are our top priorities and concern. That is why we are implementing a rigorous cleaning regimen specifically targeted to clean and disinfect our property against Coronavirus with special emphasis on all high touch areas in our rooms and common areas. All bed linens, bath, and kitchen towels are sanitized and changed between guests. We ask all guests to exercise social distancing and preventative practices while in and on this property.

Our first time to Destin Beach but hopefully not our last. Condo was as advertised. Clean, well supplied with kitchen utensils and towels and right across the street from the beach Having your own beach chairs and umbrella as part on this rental was really great. Will definitely consider this unit again on our next trip down to Destin.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The accommodations were great. The beach was easily accessible and the crew at the beach were very friendly. The entire facility was very nice and clean. Our rental unit was spacious and well kept. We would highly recommend these facilities. Will definitely stay here on our next visit to Destin!

Wonderful Accommodations, Great Location

My small family loved this condo's location, as it was just a short walk to the beach. Everything we wanted or needed was within a mile of the condo. We enjoyed walking along Gulf Shore Drive and were even close enough to walk over to Target and Winn Dixie. This place is highly recommended.

Great stay

We booked this last minute and had stayed at sandpiper before. The condo was beautiful it was very convenient to walk to the beach or the heated pool. Our kids are younger and wished there was a tv near the bunkbeds. Plenty of room for our family and we loved that it felt like home.

Very clean and comfortable. Quick and easy walk to the beach. The only negative would be that the bunk beds face the double sink. Kinda different. The bunk beds were very large compared to other rentals we have stayed at in thr past though.

Summer Vacation

We truly enjoyed the stay, the beach chair service being included made it much easier. The king mattress was not that comfortable and broken down but we were so tired from the beach we slept anyway. Everyone on the property was super nice, I felt very safe. Kitchen stocked with proper tools for cooking. Would definitely return.

Overall nice property

The location of the property is ideal with easy walking beach access and Rick's Sand Trap is delicious! The inside of the condo could use some updates/cleaning. Couch and love seat were stained as well as the kitchen table. Check in was delayed due to extra cleaning, but we were notified by management and offered extras to apologize. Would recommend this property to others with maybe just a few updates.

Spring Break

We had a great spring break week at Sandpiper Cove. This is our second year staying in this complex and we definitely preferred this unit to the one we stayed in last year. The location is perfect with very easy access to both beach and pool, and the layout was great for our small family. A little weird to have the bunks next to the sinks but our kids were way too worn out from all the swimming and sun to even care. Everything in the unit was as expected and we had everything we needed. It was comfortable and for the most part clean with the exception of the floors which were notably dirty when we arrived. We decided not to make a thing of it and it was fine. Over all we were very happy with our entire stay and we would book this unit again in the future.

Great condo!

This condo was perfect for my family of 4. Right across the street from the beautiful private beach. Right inside the gates to be able to drive out and find whatever you need(food, etc.) The master bed was very comfortable but could have used another roku TV for that room since we like to watch shows in bed after the kids go to sleep. Bunk beds were great for the kids. The bathroom was well stocked with enough towels. Water pressure in the shower was good. The kitchen was well stocked with supplies needed to eat on. The washer was super loud since it was open in the kitchen. Back patio was wonderful for morning coffee. Overall, we loved this condo. We hope to stay another time.

Sandpiper cove unit 9106

Unit came exactly as advertised. The set up was a little odd but worked the week we were there. The light bulb in the bathroom went out during our stay. I called the office to have them replace the bulb after looking to see if I could find one. There wasn't a spare one in the cabinets. They never came out and we dealt with it. I even went out and bought a light bulb to do it myself. We couldn't get the dome to come off without breaking it. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

Great Location

I will no doubt rebook here. It was Easyto find and perfectly located to everything. A few small issues. We had a small rental Ford focus and two families had Huge jacked up trucks with big tires. It made parking difficult. Their hitches bleed into the side walk and we had to navigate around them all week with my kids. Sandpiper has to restricted that. It was ridiculous. The bunk bed in this unit had to thick a mattres for small kids.The bed rail didn't help. I had to give my kids the king and I slept in the floor. Security was very present and very nice at all times. I appreciated that. Walk to the beach was easy and plenty of room on the beach. Not one issue with our umbrellas and chairs. All went great besides those damn trucks. . Grocery, food, and attractions are with in a mile or two. Was very clean and professional....Will be back .. Please ask for a map with pool locations in the packet too.

Very Nice Unit 9106

I thought the property was well maintained and an excellent location. Our unit was across Gulf Shores Drive, but it was only a short walk to the beach which we didn't mind at all. The unit was very clean. The property is very secure with security at entrance and locked gates to beach access and property access. It was quite and peaceful during our stay and plenty of parking. The bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable and we sleep well. We did not use the two bunk beds, so I cannot speak on them. I had to go to the office to pick up a package and every one was nice and friendly, provided me a key to the mail box unit and were very accomidating. The unit had some simple directions laid out for the TV, which were helpful, and also directions about the A/C unit and thermostat. That was helpful because I immediately adjusted it back when I had put it down at 70 at first entrance into the unit. It stayed on 75 for the rest of the time and it stayed comfortable in the unit the whole 5 days with no issue. The washer/dryer combo that was provided in the unit was loud and abnoxious but we were grateful to have one that worked properly and it was just a minor complaint overall. The unit was well stocked with the cooking utensils we needed for boiling shrimp, cooking simple breakfasts, and most simple kitchen cooking while on vacation. The coffee maker is the traditional pot and filter type, and not he keurig as we were hoping, but again, that is a minor inconvenince that was easily overcome. It was really nice to have chairs and umbrellas available for our use on the beach during our stay as we did have to walk across the street to the beach. A major complaint that I do have about the unit is the Roku system on the TV makes it difficult to watch local stations. We never did figure it out. But what was really disappointing is that we were unable to watch college football game one night that I really wanted to see. We tried everything to be able to stream this game with no resolve. So I didn't get to watch the season opener of my favorite football team. The TV needs to be able to get stations like ESPN and SEC Network, et cetera. It was the only time during my whole stay that I wanted to sit down and watch TV, and I was quite agitated that live sports were not available on their ROKU television set up. We had left Landshark Pizza to watch the game in quite peace at our place at half time, and were totally bummed when we got back and found out the game was not available to watch on their TV. I could have live streamed it on my lap top and tethered it to the TV but had no HDMI cable to do so. As a rabid football fan, this complaint I understand might be silly to others, but I have to address this in my review. We did take pictures of some slight damage and stains on some of the furniture as suggested in a note at the entrance of the unit. We didn't want to be responsible for the small imperfections that we noticed. But these were minor and didn't cause an issue during our stay (a chip in the tile, minimal stains on the couch, some discoloration on the table for example). As stated, we were not bothered by this, but they had directions posted to document these things to avoid responsibility for them. I did think it was silly that the linens they provided were strictly observed for stains and they actually had a price on the information packet in case these linens were stained. These linens were white cloth. What do you think is going to happen to linens that are white when used for their purpose? I don't think tenants should be held responsible for that when such normal "wear and tear" occur. That's the cost you incur in doing business. So we used them sparingly and mostly used the towels we brought and left their linens alone as much as we could. I cannot speak to the pools on the property as we did not use them. Our philosophy when on beach vacations, is that pool lounging and pool activities are a misallocation of our time. My partner loved the decoration of this unit, and we would definitely stay here again, and if the unit wasn't available we would definitely stay at the Sandpiper again. We felt safe, thought it was a great location, had minimal noise disturbances, and it fit our budget. I really enjoyed my time and Sandpiper and hope this review helps the property to improve and also helps travelers to stay here, and enjoy Destin as much as possible.

Great location!

We loved our stay at Sandpiper Cove 9106. The condo was as pictured and had a well stocked kitchen. We had our kids ages 5, 7, and 9 with us and we didn't find it to be a problem that the bathroom sinks are by the bunk beds. The kids were so tired from the beach they didn't wake. My one kind of complaint about the bunk beds however is that the railing is very low (hardly comes above the mattress). We had planned to have our 7 year old sleep up there, but all of my kids were too scared and it would have terrified me if they had wanted to sleep there. So if you are planning to use the bunks keep this in mind. The walk to the beach is very short (3 minutes) and the pool is also very close. We loved the food hut on the beach and felt it was reasonably priced (cash only). Beach chairs are a game changer, especially when you have kid toys to carry to the beach. We also highly recommend Capriccio Cafe. It is just a short walk from the condo (you will drive past it on the left on your way in) and has the best coffee, crepes, breakfast sandwiches, smoothies and great prices (way lower than Starbucks). We will definitely be back to Sandpiper.

Great Time

The property is a short 5 minute walk from the beach at the most. The property was exactly what we were told. The pictures showed everything perfectly. I would highly recommend this you recommend this for a smaller group. 6 People are as many as you can fit in here. But There was plenty of room. Great space, clean and fun.

Good trip but with hassles

I read reviews and do lots of research on places to stay before booking. We come to Destin-30A a couple times a year but were late booking and found this one. The biggest issue for us that was hard to see in pictures is that the bunk beds are literally in the bathroom across from the sinks! I have 9 and 4 year old kids that slept on the bunk beds. It was frustrating because they go to bed before us and we couldnā€™t use the bathroom or sinks after they went to bed because the lights are so bright and the toilet flushing woke them up. We brushed our teeth and got ready for bed in the kitchen sink every night! The toilet is behind a door but that light was so bright we ended up putting a camping light in there when my husband or I got up to use the bathroom at night because the kids woke up. That was all really difficult to manage for us. Also things like drying my hair or spraying hairspray in the sink area, I felt like got on my sons bedding. The top bunk was so close to the ceiling it was hard for my daughter to turn around once she was up there. Also, the railing on the top bunk only comes to the top of the mattress so I wouldnā€™t want a younger kid to sleep up there because there really isnā€™t anything to prevent them from falling. The beds also pop with any movement so we all woke up multiple times a night because the sound travelled. We even brought a sound machine and that didnā€™t help much. You just need to consider how old your kids are and how you would handle getting ready for bed with kids asleep literally right next to the sinks. Look closely at the pictures on here and you can see it. The king bed in the master was okay, not great. Otherwise, the only things we felt were missing were some kitchen items. We had a watermelon and there wasnā€™t any kind of Rubbermaid container to store it in. We had to get creative and just ended up throwing half of it away because we couldn't store it. Also some more plastic cups or non-glass drinkwear. We had fun at the beach despite the guys who do the beach setup not reserving us a spot each day even though it comes with the condo. I even tipped them and they still had everyone wait in a line until 9:40 (with kids we were out by 8:30) to get a chair setup assigned to us. They made so many people mad each day and it wasnā€™t just us. Pools were okay but you have to walk a good distance to get to the better ones. Overall, it was okay and we did enjoy our trip. Just some hassle here and there.
