The Delightful Surprise is a "hidden gem" in the historical section of Lewisburg. Completely remodeled, this charming cottage boast of two beautifully done bedrooms with great linens and a newly remodeled bathroom. There are two seasonal study rooms upstairs and a cute outdoor area to enjoy! It is secluded, on its own street and right downtown. You can walk any where and that includes the best restaurants in town! Lastly, we proudly continue to clean to Covid standards!

We had the most wonderful stay in this well appointed cottage. Everything that you want to do in historical Lewisburg is in walking distance which was indeed what we did. During our stay we drove only twice to Hawks Knob farm and to Lost World Caverns. We are country folks that like our privacy but this cottage and location fit the bill for comfort and conveniences in a beautiful, historical, ‘coolest small town in America.’

Very cute and clean cottage house. Right in the heart of town and a 2-5min walk to several EXCELLENT local restaurants/pubs with a very cool vibe and full of friendly people. We absolutely plan on staying here again. Double car parking spot is shared but second car parking could be one block over on main street.

I was pleasantly surprised at all the little extras this cute place has to offer! Anything you can think of that you may have accidentally forgotten to pack, they have it covered! I got a piece of popcorn stuck in my teeth and due to them having toothpicks I didn't have to suffer that evening! It's the small things that sometimes make all the difference. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows and soft blankets. There were plenty of towels and nothing was forgotten. Plenty of toilet paper and all the necessities you would need. The shower is nice and puts out nice hot water. The washer & dryer are clean and work well. There is a nice sitting area on the back porch and also a fire pit in the back. It is in a convenient location to anything in Lewisburg,the fair or white Sulfur springs. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend!

My wife and I had the best time, the property was walking distance from downtown, super cute decorations (as I was told by my wife, o thought it was cool too), most importantly very clean. Will definitely be back!

This cottage is beautifully decorated, with a charming mixture of antiques and modern furniture. The bedding is high end - very comfy. We loved the quiet and privacy and the fact that restaurants, etc. were 2 blocks around the corner. Outstanding from every point of view!

Old world charm with a lot of elegance!

We fell in love with this charming little home! The host was super friendly and helpful! We would definitely recommend to friends and stay here again! Extra attention to the little details that we all love! The beds and the bedding were fantastic! The artwork Was also wonderful! Too many little pluses to mention! Close to everything!

Simply Perfect!

This was the perfect spot! We wanted a getaway that was relaxing and walkable to the coolest parts of Lewisburg and this was it:) The whole place was so thoughtful from the decorations, comfort, and small extras that you might need for your trip. The cottage was bright, clean, and comfortable. Our host gave us great recs for restaurants and things to do. We will be back:)

2nd stay - Becoming our go-to for Lewisburg stay

Circumstances surrounding my visit were to attend my father‘s funeral. Nonetheless, it was great to stay in a familiar, comfortable place.

Great stay

Enjoyed our stay! Cottage is comfortable and conveniently located near all shops and restaurants. Fabulous soft fresh linens and tastefully decorated. Looking forward to our next time visiting Lewisburg and our next stay here.

A Wonderfuuly, Delightful Surprise!

Our originally scheduled time needed to be changed by the owner; however our rescheduled time was beyond perfect! We had a fantastic week- perfect weather & perfect Vrbo house! First,Delightful Surprise is perfectly located in middle of everything in Lewisburg-shops, restaurants, churches, etc & easily walkable from house. Second, Delightful Surprise was indeed a delightful surprise. The house (situated in a quiet residential street) is tastefully decorated, fully stocked,(really didn’t need to bring own coffee),linens & towels are 5 stars, Rofu tv and house is immaculate, super clean, and warmly welcoming!! Third, but really most importantly, Anna, our Vrbo owner, was very communicative, informative, thoughtful in every detail, and most attentive”Host”!!!

Wonderful Place

The place was very clean with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. The TV went bad and was replaced immediately. We had a great time and the location is great.

Fantastic State Fair/Lewisburg Adventure

This cute little home was in a great location for our State Fair and Lewisburg adventure! Very well and thoughtfully appointed, even with small extras like snacks and extra toiletry items. The fire pit came in great for the cool evenings. Quiet road but on the edge of town. Would definitely stay here again!

Lovely house in a perfect location

My husband and I came to Lewisburg to bike the Greenbrier River Trail. We did that and then some! The house was lovely, within walking distance to all kinds of shops, restaurants and entertainment and equipped with everything we needed. Anna was a wonderful host and provided some really good restaurant recommendations. I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful, spotless property in a wonderful location

We stayed at this beautiful cottage while riding the Greenbriar River Trail and Jackson River Trail. The cottage was spotless. The location is wonderful-you can walk to many different restaurants. We did not shop, but there were plenty of interesting shops in the area as well. Anna was great to work. I highly recommend the cottage if you are staying in Lewisburg. We will definitely stay here again!

Excellent home in downtown Lewisburg!

We stayed here for a wedding. The home had two very nice bedrooms and one bathroom. It had great outdoor space and was recently updated. One parking spot to use while staying there. It was exactly what we needed and very fairly priced.

This cottage is a little unusual in that it's very private, yet very safe and right downtown!!! Once you arrive, you can enjoy a wonderful downtown Lewisburg experience just a few steps away. People often ask "how did you find this cute little spot"? The answer was that "it found me"! I went looking for a small house which we could use off season and where our son could stay while attending medical school. People loved this little "Doll house" and would knock on the door to inquire about staying here and,......as they say....the rest is history!!
