This spacious home boasts modern amenities, including Wi-Fi, Central Air, a fully equipped kitchen with a blender, dishwasher, oven, even washer and dryer. The dining area connects gracefully to a cozy living room adorned with a faux fireplace and Smart TV, comfortable couch and power recliner.
Each of the 3 bedrooms feature a Smart TV, offering a range of entertainment options at your fingertips. Outdoors you’ll enjoy privacy on 15 acres, a large deck with lounge chairs, gas grill with dining area and firepit perfect for outdoor gatherings.
Explore the wonders of the region from the nearby PA Grand Canyon to boating, fishing, hunting, and wine tasting. A short drive takes you to Wellsboro, Corning NY, and the picturesque Finger Lakes of NY.
For your convenience, we provide a starter home kit with a limited supply of essentials like toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, and trash bags. Linens and towels are provided. Additional amenities include a coffee pot and new water filtration system installed in 2023.

very cozy, very clean, very quiet.The house has anything you may need. Very comfortable mattresses. In reality the house is even better than on photos. We enjoyed our stay here. Hope to come back again. Thank you!

Dickens visit

Steep icy driveway!! But it was December!! Home was tastefully decorated for the holidays and had adequate amenities. If we return to the area in The summer we would definitely consider staying here again.

Clean and quite

Def the cleanest location I have stayed at. Remote enough to provide quite relaxation. Has plenty amenities needed. Good location as starting point for Watkins Glen, Wellsboro, Mansfield and attractions in those locations. Would like to return again. Pics and description accurate.

Beautiful small house, immaculate and comfortable. Great location for Little Marsh. The over 70 group stayed there and were very happy !

Three sisters’ annual hiking trip

The house is as pretty as advertised. We loved staying there. House was exceptionally clean and we appreciated all the special touches: sparkling white towels, dish soap, dish towels, paper towels etc. The distance to hiking trails is great! We loved the fire pit outside too! Beautiful views.

We had a great time at this house

We love the layout of this house. As soon as we got there one of us started cooking and we could all talk with her from the living room and kitchen. Everything we needed was there and easy to find. The fire pit is very nice and it was great sitting around it in the comfortable chairs. We would love to go back to the house and visit the Grand Canyon of PA again!

Very welcoming home

Very happy with our stay. Home was clean and very welcoming. We felt at home. The little touches were so nice. Owner had some holiday decor around. Nice sheets and towels were supplied. Very much appreceated that we did not have to pack them and make the beds when we got there. Would surely stay here again and highly recommend!

Six friends

Property was very clean and cozy. A/C unit is very loud but other than that it was great. Very much enjoyed the fire pit and use of the grill. Beautiful view except for the junkyard but you can overlook that! Would definitely rent this house again.

Cute place

This rental was very cute and perfect for our family of 5. It had all the amenities we needed to cook all our meals which saved us money. Beds and pillows were comfortable. Air condition and wifi worked splendidly. The location is secluded so don’t expect a quick drive anywhere but we knew what we were looking for and Welleboro was only about 25 minutes away and we went there several times. The grill was great and while we didn’t get to use it as much as we would have liked the fire pit was great (weather did not cooperate). Overall the experience was exactly what we were looking for. It was peaceful and relaxing. We had an issue with the one shower and they repaired it very quickly.

Weekend getaway

We were in Welsboro for a vow renewal for my friends granddaughter and our little retired group made a weekend out of it. Redtail Haven was a great choice, everything was very well kept, comfy beds, all the amendies we needed. Wish it was'nt a rainy weekend, the outside sitting by the fire would of been so relaxing and morning coffee on the deck. We made the best of it sitting at the table playing cards late into the night. Would recommend for a gathering in this well maintained property with a peaceful quiet outdoors.

sxs riding weekend get away

my husband and I with another couple stayed at this property for my husbands birthday weekend. very clean and adequate accommodations for the 4 of us- would have been fine for 6 as well! we enjoyed the fire pit, very open setting with no neighbors to bother us and the kitchen to make our meals. we did do some sxs riding but unfortunately didnt know area well enough and were further away from the dcnr trails than we anticipated therefore we still trailered to a trail head. yes, it is possible to ride from the house we just didnt want to do that much road riding. otherwise it was perfect for what we needed!

Remote, beautiful, and clean

Our family just had the best time at the Redtail Haven! The property is in a very remote area, which made disconnecting from technology and connecting with nature so much easier. The property was exceptionally clean. There were three bedrooms, 2 baths, a kitchen, and a living room. There was also a back deck, and a fire pit in the back yard. Behind the house is a mountain, and there are mountain views all around the property. There is a mechanic or something at the bottom of the hill with various old/abandoned cars which did take away from the vies a bit, but only from the front steps. You could not see it from the side or back of the house. Sitting near the firepit gives the best views of the sunrise coming over the mountains. The town of Wellsboro was about 20 minutes away, and it was a remarkably adorable town, and the food at the Roost was amazing (pub food and very cool)! Its about 20 minutes or so to the trails around the PA grand Canyon, I do recommend taking the slightly longer route through Wellsboro unless you have a 4 wheel drive vehicle. I don't know how our minivan made it on those dirt mountain back roads, but the drive was beautiful! We really loved every minute there. Highly recommend this property.

A great place to stay

We could only stay a few days (unfortunately), but the place was very clean and accurately described. The star gazing was amazing. I took some really nice photo's of the Milky way and Orion just cresting the horizon. The owner had a switch installed to turn off a very bright on the premise. Thank you! We had a fire every night, when the weather cooperated. Firewood is not supplied, but there was some already there in a storage box. Probably from the previous renters... we used it up and replaced it (paid it forward) for the next guests. There were plenty of seats and the grill cooked up some burgers and dogs nicely. A short ride ride down the road (about 25 minutes) and you can get to the PA Grand Canyon. We took a wagon ride through the bottom and visited all the overlooks the next day. Getting back to the stars, we had planned a Cherry Springs Park visit, but saw no need as its about an hour away and the sky was just as beautiful at the house. Only 1 small critique would be when the AC is running, the fan inside is very loud. It's located next to the kitchen area, where we spent time planning our adventures and eating breakfast. A vented sliding door might do the trick to quiet it down some... Lastly, my son (8) really loved the space rocket theme on the ceiling fan in his room. Also having his own TV... which he doesn't have at home... He did not want to leave!!!! We had his Nintendo switch hooked up for him in no time and he loved having "me time" while the adults talked. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to get away, enjoy camp fires at night, enjoy the stars and woodland background. There is plenty to do in nearby Wellsboro, the Grand canyon etc... to keep you busy. We didn't see Bigfoot either :( LOL

Self check-in was easy - received the door code before arrival. The house and property were clean and the view is fantastic. Very peaceful. Loved watching the lightning bugs and stars at night! There were a couple of burned out light bulbs, but I was able to take a couple bulbs from lights we didn't need and move them to where they were needed.
