A Little About Me — Nour Sliem (SARAYA)
My name is Nour, which means "light" in Arabic—and light is what I hope to bring to every guest who stays with me.
I'm an international writer, and storytelling is my life. But the stories I love most aren't just the ones I write—they're the ones I get to share with travelers like you. I've always believed that the best conversations happen over a cup of tea, looking out at the Nile, swapping stories about where we come from and where we're going.
Hosting, for me, is about connection. It's about creating a space where cultures meet, where strangers become friends, and where every guest leaves with more than just photos—they leave with a piece of Egypt in their heart.
I pour that same love into every detail of my home. The books on the shelf? Chosen for curious minds. The art on the walls? Handpicked to inspire. The fully stocked kitchen? Because I believe you should never have to ask for the basics — you're a guest, not a customer.
And when I received the Airbnb Superhost badge and the Booking.com Traveller Review Awards 2026 with a 9.6 out of 10 rating, it wasn't the badges that moved me—it was knowing that guests felt the love I put into their stay.
So whether you're here to write, to explore, to find yourself, or simply to rest—consider this your home away from home. I'd be honored to be part of your journey.

Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade
I didn't just choose this neighborhood — it chose me.
There's something sacred about standing on my balcony, watching the Nile stretch out like a silver ribbon through the heart of Cairo. The way the water catches the first light of dawn, the way birds trace invisible poems across the sky, and the way the Pyramids stand in the distance—silent, ancient, watching—it never gets old. Not for me, and not for my guests.
What I love most:
The duality of it. You're close enough to hear the call to prayer drift across the water, yet tucked away from the chaos of the city. You can take a felucca ride at sunset one evening and be standing before the Pyramids of Giza the next morning. History isn't in a museum here — it's in the air, in the soil, in the view from your window.
I love that my guests can walk to St. Mary Church, grab fresh flowers from the shop downstairs, or take a 3-minute Uber to a floating restaurant on the Nile. I love that the neighborhood feels alive—families, locals, the hum of everyday Egyptian life—yet our apartment remains a peaceful retreat above it all.
And honestly? I love the light. The way the sun rises over the Nile and fills the apartment with gold. The way guests step onto the balcony and go silent — not because there's nothing to say, but because some views are bigger than words.
This neighborhood isn't just where I live. It's where I welcome the world.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?
It's not just the view—though, yes, the view is extraordinary. Waking up to the Nile flowing peacefully, the Pyramids watching from afar, and the sky painted in sunrise gold… that alone could be enough. But what makes this place truly special is what lives inside.
This apartment has a soul.
I've filled it with things that matter—art that inspires, like the Mona Lisa watching over the living room, and wallpaper that transports you to London or Venice. A little library for curious minds, because I believe travel should feed the imagination. A kitchen that's actually stocked—not just with utensils, but with care: coffee, tea, spices, healthy oils, wooden dishes, and quality pans. You don't have to ask for anything. You just arrive, and it's ready.
I wanted guests to feel like they're staying in a real home, not a rental. A place where a writer lives (that's me), where books are loved, where every towel is soft, every corner has light, and every detail says, "You matter here."
And then there's the Nile. Always the Nile. Flowing right outside, reminding us that life moves, beauty remains, and some moments—like a cup of tea on that balcony—are worth more than any itinerary.
So what makes this place unique?
It's not just an apartment with a view.
It's a home with a heartbeat.
