Escape to Hudson NY!

Our Hudson house is a great weekend (or week-long) escape! Light-filled open Victorian is furnished with an eclectic mix of modern and antique furniture. Hang out at the house or walk just a couple of minutes for all that Warren Street offers.

Enter our Victorian home and get ready to relax. Downstairs there are two living rooms to hang out, snuggle in for the evening to read, play board games or watch movies. When the weather is right you can also hang out on the front or back porch. There are two bedrooms with queen beds, and a bedroom with two twin size beds is also available. All bedrooms located on second floor. We have a full kitchen if you like to cook, or walk just a couple of minutes to Warren Street to try one of the great restaurants available. Hudson offers many eating options, and a great farmers' market much of the year if you prefer to prepare your own meals.

Amenities include: 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths. Full bathroom is upstairs and there is a small powder room downstairs. Fully equipped kitchen with full size fridge, gas stove/oven, toaster oven, microwave, coffee/espresso maker, stainless steel work island, tons of cookbooks and cooking paraphernalia. Washer and dryer available.

We have wireless Internet connection throughout the house, and speakers for your iPod/iPhone.

All dishes, 300+ count linens and towels included. Central air-conditioning and fans available in summer.

It's a great time to be upstate.

Weekend in Hudson

This Victorian home is very warm and comfortable. Located within walking distance to Warren Street shops and restaurants. Enjoyed our two nights at this property and would recommend to anyone traveling to the area.

Great space for a family

We had a wedding to attend at the Helsinki and decided to make weekend of it with the kids (3 yo, twin babies) and a sitter. The house accommodated all of us very comfortable. The front room fit 2 pack and plays nicely and the two living spaces allowed us to have a kids space and adult space. The huge dining room table was great. The entire house was clean and Colleen was a great host. Would recommend for sure.

Overflow bungalow

Interesting old home in a great location—we used this as overflow sleeping with a nearby property as home base. This worked great. “Interesting” means as with any home this age, it has its funkiness—the dip in the hallway at the top of the back stairs, for example—but that’s what makes these old homes so fun. Would stay again.

Wedding Weekend in Hudson

We had a great weekend stay with our family of six. The rooms were spacious and clean. We did not need to use the kitchen but could see that it was well stocked. We appreciated the binders of great information about the area left by the owner for us to look through. Warren street with restaurants and shops was close by. Thanks for a wonderful Hudson experience.

Just like Home

We spent 3 nights at Colleen’s home in Hudson, NY. The house had everything we needed plus more. The kitchen was fully stocked including coffee and filters. We bought our own toiletries but if you forgot something, there were items in the master bath for you to use. The linens and towels were nicer than expected and the pillows and beds were comfy. We enjoyed both the inside and outside spaces, there was room for everyone. The location was great, it was an easy walk to town and very close to the Saturday morning Farmers Market. I would highly recommend going there, open from 9-1. Colleen left lots of good information about the area. Great for couples and families!

Cozy home in upstate NY, with plenty of character. Very comfortable for our family of six.

We used this home for our son's and daughter in laws wedding weekend. Colleen is a very gracious owner/ operator. This home is a well maintained colonial home. Plenty of good spaces to entertain and relax in. The decorations gave us a warm cozy feel. The kitchen is well stocked so you can make coffee and prepare any meal you need to make. The dining room easily accommodated our group. The upstairs bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The good location is within walking distance of Hudson's main street filled with restaurants, coffee shops, an eclectic collection of stores for browsing and shopping.

You can feel the generosity of the owners although the bathroom and kitchen are somehow kind of old. But still ok and comfortable.

Perfect gem in Hudson

We stayed in this lovely home for a family wedding weekend. Just 2 mins walk from Warren street with amazing restaurants & shopping. The house was absolutely perfect for us - lots of little nooks for quiet reading, comfy beds, a cook's kitchen... we had a lovely getaway. Thank you, Colleen!

We loved our stay ~ ample room for all, very comfy and close to dining and shopping.

It was easy to find the house and park our car ~ loved the house and lots of unique architecture! We didn’t cook, but enjoyed the coffee maker and large dining room table to sit around and visit. We also loved sitting in the back yard in the mornings and again in the evening. The only thing we would add is a string of lights in the backyard tree, as it was fairly dark. It was a lovely yard to sit out in and enjoy Hudson weather. We had an awesome visit!

Perfect house with upstate charm!

The house had it all - it was very clean and had plenty of space; you could cook, relax, read, play board games, etc. It close enough to walk into town or a quick drive to many sites. I recommend staying here to anyone wanting a weekend getaway!

Lovely Victorian Home! Can't wait to return!

Love this home

Charming Hudson House

This Victorian home was very comfortable . We were in town for a wedding with our son and his fiancé . We slept well, very clean. Easy walk to town. No ESPN on tv which my guys love their college Football but found great bars in town to watch and great food.

great house for book lovers!

Great Hudson Home!

I rented this house with a group of friends for a little birthday celebration in January. We love Hudson in the winter because you can easily escape the hustle and bustle of the city and head to a town where there are good bars, restaurants and outdoorsy things to do. This house is in a great location. It is a very short walk to Warren street. We walked to Red Dot for dinner the first night we were there. It was under 30 degrees but the walk went fast. The location of this house was perfect. We loved the house. We wanted to go out one night and stay in and cook a birthday dinner the next. The dining room opens up to the living room which was nice because the girls were able to prepare dinner at the table while the boys watched tv in the adjacent room. Colleen was so helpful and knowledgable about Hudson. She gave us really good recommendations and reached out to us prior to our stay. It made us feel comfortable knowing that she was in contact. We would all recommend this house to stay in Hudson, and will definitely be coming back!

Spacious, clean, cute and great location!

My friends and I came across Colleen's beautiful home on HomeAway as we needed a place to stay for a wedding in town. The house is simultaneously cute and spacious, and is conveniently located very close to downtown Hudson (about a 5 min walk to Warren St). I was also very happy with its location as I broke my toe a few days beforehand and had to hobble around and couldn't walk far distances. The house is in great condition and was very clean and tidy. She paid attention to all the small details and had us fully stocked with essentials for the weekend (including some very good local NY coffee). I also appreciated that she was available if we needed anything, but wasn't hovering around us as I've experienced with similar situations in the past. I definitely recommend giving this beautiful home a shot!

Very clean, great beds, super location!

Perfect family getaway

Everything about this house is perfect. Our family rented this house for the month of August looking for a quiet, convenient and comfortable getaway from NYC. This house was everything we could have possibly hoped, and Colleen was so easy and lovely to interact with. Her home is comfortable and inviting, the kitchen is terrific, and the location is perfect. We loved our stay. And we'll be back!

Great Spacious Home Near Everything!

The house was perfect for us and better than advertised. A short walk to everything Hudson has to offer and everything we needed to cook at home too- a very well stocked kitchen and a very nice gas stove, big fridge and a washer dryer right in the kitchen. Easy to park right in front of the house, making sure to park on alternating sides of the street. Farmer's market was a few block's walk- I highly recommend the crispy New York Apples, plump tomatoes and of course the chocolate ciabatta (I ate 2 !) Dining favorites: Gamin Country (tartine and cafe au lait), Red Dot (a great $10 burger), Park Falafel/Pizza for a quick bite and the Hudson Curry House, a short drive out on Fairview Ave was pretty good and has a buffet and carry out. The home was comfortable and very spacious for the 3 of us and our guest one night. Of the 3 bedrooms, 2 have queen beds and 1 has 2 twins. More room than we needed. Beds were comfortable and we loved the home's wood floors and stairs, historic details and eclectic furnishings. Plenty of towels and linens too. You can sit on the porch in the front, or in back on the side and also choose the chairs in the yard under a shade tree. Colleen was great to deal with and gave us lots of helpful information about the town. She must love to cook and read, because you will have a tower of cookbooks to peruse and a bookcase and more of reading material, including Harry Potter for my son! There is wifi, TV and DVD player, and board games for those who prefer and lots of comfy seating as well as a HUGE dining table for entertaining. I also loved that the house clean was done with green cleaning products so we could breathe easy on our week long vacation. Thanks Colleen for such a memorable stay in Hudson! Highly recommended.

FABULOUS, COMFORTABLE, CHARMING!*****

Four "old friends" - all Seniors - spent a long weekend at this lovely house. We definitely will be back. The house is extremely well equipped with quality linens, a well-stocked kitchen and all furniture is wonderfully comfortable -beds and couches included. House is immaculate, creatively decorated, everything works! Large, very private back yard is the perfect setting for morning coffee. Location is great- in quiet residential section but an easy walk to the "hub" of Hudson where there are many interesting boutiques, restaurants, coffee houses, etc. Within a few miles, one can visit a vast array of art - old and new - quaint and picturesque towns....almost like being in Southern France! Colleen is a pleasure to work with, very accommodating and she provides a zillion books, magazines, cookbooks, and "what to do in and around Hudson" materials. There is a TV (we never turned it on!) and room air conditioners. Two living rooms, an enormous dining room, a kitchen big enough for all 4 of us to cook together...three bedrooms upstairs with a full bath plus a half bath downstairs. What more could we ask? What's not to love?
