Welcome to the Nordic Hearth Cottage, a charming, historic three bedroom log home! This beautiful getaway with newly restored fireplace is set on an acre of land on Townline Drive, equidistant from the villages of Ephraim and Sister Bay, and right in the heart of Door County. Find shopping, restaurants, galleries, and a spa within steps of Nordic Hearth Cottage. By car, our central location on the peninsula puts our guests only minutes away from beaches, wineries, trolley tours, dozens of outdoor activities, and the breathtaking scenery that Door County has to offer!
Full of natural light and whimsical Scandinavian touches, this cozy cottage combines old world charm with all the comforts of home. Towels and bed linens are provided, and the newly remodeled bathroom is stocked with bar soap, toilet paper, and a hair dryer. Each of the bedrooms has a dresser and spacious closet, so unpack and make yourself at home! The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare and serve home-cooked meals, and the open dining concept makes the space perfect for family gatherings. Stock up on groceries from the Piggly Wiggly just two miles from the cottage in Sister Bay, and help yourself to the tea and coffee weā€™ve already provided!
Nordic Hearth is the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some time away from it all. Get comfy in the living room and browse satellite TV channels, stream your favorite shows from your mobile device, or spend quiet time in the sunroom, (enjoy fantastic views of the sunrise/sunset!!), get lost in a book; or take in the beautiful surroundings as you lounge on the deck. The propertyā€™s large yard is the perfect place to make the most of Door County summer nights and stargaze away from city lights. Or, if you visit us in the winter, spend your evenings cozied up by the wood-burning stone fireplace- newly renovated. We also provide books, DVDs, and board games for rainy days. A wonderful Vrbo find. Perfect house in DC for a girls weekend to celebrate my momā€™s 94th birthday. Location, amenities, space were awesome. Beds were comfortable, it was clean, and home was carefully curated. Note: no bathroom on the second floor, but we managed just fine. Would love to come back and stay for a week.

What an adorable cottage. So cute and homey. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. Was very comfortable for 2 couples and 3 teenage girls. Plenty of towels and lots of toiletries. Comfy beds. Very close to lots of activities and restaurants, but also very quiet. Comfy beds. Good selection of games and DVDs. One bathroom - be aware. Wasn't at all an issue for us (even with 3 teenage girls). We all loved it and would absolutely stay there again.

Beatiful Door County Getaway

Our favorite place to stay, right between Ephraim and Sister Bay, this charming summer cottage has plenty of space, a fully equipped kitchen, and comfy beds. Our host, Julia, has great communication and even checked in with a text to see how we were enjoying our 4 night stay. Highly recommend this cottage!

My family truly enjoyed our stay in Ephraim! The care and exquisite attention to detail in this cottage are spectacular! We especially enjoyed all of the fabulous books, antiques, games and dvds. Every possible guest need during a stay has been anticipated, and Julia was fantastic with communication and checked in on us throughout our week. The location is perfect and the photos do not do this home justice! Thanks for opening up your beautiful property to visitors!

Wonderful Girls Weekend!

We had an awesome stay at this beautiful cottage. It worked perfectly for a girl getaway! The location was so convenient to get anywhere in Door County. Julia was a perfect host, she was communicative and we couldn't have had a better time! The cottage was stocked with everything one could need - and then some. It had a special bespoke feel. Truly a special place and we will be back!

Lovely Cottage

We are three friends visiting Door County for a girls' trip. The cottage was absolutely lovely and provided an excellent home base for our day trips/adventures. The cottage was filled with interesting conversation pieces and had the most well-stocked kitchen of any VRBO I have rented in the past. We particularly loved sitting in the sun room during the mornings and when arriving back to the cottage in the evenings. The owner, Julia, checked in with us via text before we arrived, on a regular basis during our stay, and wished us safe travels home. All of this made for a beautiful and relaxing three nights in Door County, notwithstanding the unseasonably cool and rainy weather in late June.

Wonderful Door County Home

This property is absolutely amazing! The host thoughtfully texted us before we even arrived and was sure to check up on us during our stay to check if there was anything we needed. The home itself was very charming and stocked with anything that you could need. As soon as we arrived I felt comforted by the warm decor and the fact that anything we needed was already there. The beds were comfortable, toys and puzzles were bountiful, and the surroundings were perfect. I couldnā€™t be more happy with our stay here!

Family Annual Vacation with adult children

Beautiful cottage perfect location. Well equipped kitchen. Loved the outdoor fire pit and the sunroom in the house. We really enjoyed our stay. Need to be aware there are no A/C vents in the upstair bedrooms and it can get very hot in the summer. Not sure this was on the listing. The last night it got so hot upstairs window upstairs had to be opened. The only other issue was the master bed broke where the laminated railing connected to a metal bracket that fit in a slot in the railing. Called owner and advised it broke when my wife and I first got into bed to read.

The coziest cottage

Juliaā€™s cottage is truly the coziest and cutest property we have stayed at in Door County! It is very accommodating for families, especially ones with young children! Itā€™s in a perfect location and Julia was very quick to respond to any questions we had. We highly recommend staying here, you wonā€™t regret it!
