New Year’s with Friends

We really enjoyed our stay at this Rustic spacious home. The property was as pictured and the host was responsive. Everything we were looking for as our group of 12 gathered to ring in the New Year. Looking forward to returning sometime.

Fun long weekend spot

We had a group of about 15 including adults and kids ages 12-16. Plenty of space, great location, and communication with the owners was great. We would stay again!

Great weekend

The house was perfect for our large group, plenty of sleeping and space to go around. Check was easy and uneventful and the house had everything needed for cooking breakfast and dinner. Will definitely rent again.

Exceptional Customer Service

Stayed at this property for two nights with friends. Had a blast. Most importantly Meg, the owner of the property is very responsive and helpful. On top of the excellent service, had forgotten some personal stuff which Meg was able to ship it over.

Dad's weekend with kids

The house was plenty big for a party of 15, great location to local attractions and things to do. Second year straight we rented this house and the concensus is to get it again next year. Meg was super easy to work with.

Nice getaway spot.

The location just a block from Lake Harmony provided a lovely area to walk and enjoy the fall colors. Our teens enjoyed an afternoon at the water park, and all of us took a scenic train at Jim Thorpe. At the house, our group of 13 enjoyed the wonderful dining area more than anything because we could all sit together for meals and games. We had some glitches due to not finding detailed instructions and some things not working, but overall it is a good place for a group our size.

Great for large group stay

Meg and John’s house was gorgeous, and perfect for our group’s post college graduation trip! The outdoor spaces were exceptional and helped us make the most of our stay, as well as the gorgeous kitchen and dining table for large group meals! Communication with Meg was easy and quick with all questions. We would highly recommend any groups looking for relaxing stay to book with Meg and John! Thanks again!

Large home; Great charm!

Our group thoroughly enjoyed staying at this home with great charm and lots of room to spread out. Plenty of bedrooms, some with multiple beds, various spaces for hangouts, great size kitchen with everything you could possibly need, and AWESOME location! Super close to the slopes and local town. The place wasn’t spotless of dirt/dust but we did not mind at all. Communication with Meg was smooth at all times and check in was easy, plus we got a 4 hour early check in! 10/10 would recommend for your family and/or friends weekend stay.

Delightful poconos vacation!

Absolutely massive house, the dinner table is unbelievable. It's tough to get my entire family in one room and we managed to do so in both the dining room and living room. We let the kids have the entire basement to themselves, me and my wife took the loft. We had a family of about 9 deer welcome us, and they'd pop by periodically. The host was a dream to get to once I was able to get a hold of them. We were granted extreme benefits just for asking. The value of this place is absolutely insane, especially compared to other similar vrbo's of this capacity. We had some minimal complaints but really nothing worth noting when you really take in what you get for the price. We'd be absolutely delighted to stay again, and just might start looking into booking next year

Good But could have been so much better

Amazing home nice location the overall house was great however for the price that you are paying I feel like they could provide Sheets and comforters that fit the bed seems like the property is not well taken care of at all I would go again I would just bring my own sheets and comforters because the ones that are there are old and don't fit the bed and just was very dirty looking over all if they put a little care into the property I would come back to this location every year it was nice the kitchen was good lots of plates and pots to cook and eat with forks and spoons just needs a little TLC and it would have been great the person who manages the property still has not returned my call but all the problems worked themselves out but when paying almost 3k for 4 days I feel like my money should have worked a little harder but over all nice place and would like to see them put a little money maybe $300.00 into some sheets and covers and pillow cases also there was a lot of mice dropping in the bedrooms and bathrooms I cleaned them up but really feel like that should have been done before i arrived

Wonderful Home that needs care

My family and I rented this home to meet up since we no longer have a family home between all of our locations. We loved how wonderful this house was with all the big rooms, a large kitchen table that actually fits us all, and bedrooms for everyone! So wonderful to be able to sit around the same table together! The location is great with lots of activities for kids and adults. We went to the Camel waterpark and lake and had a great time. Upon arrival we noticed that some of the homeowner's repairs were not quite as nice as the pictures showed, but fine for us to get by. We contacted the homeowner about some issues with cleanliness (mainly spiders, webs, and rodent droppings). All typical of a home in the woods. They immediately sent someone to clean and fix the errors that day. Unfortunately, some of the issues remained, but since we were going out we did not notice them until too late. The owners were kind and courteous in helping address our concerns, but some of our guests chose to sleep on the upstairs couches instead of the basement. All in all, we loved the house and think the owners will address the cleaning issues in the future for the next guests! Possibly they will use more than one person to clean such a large house would help maintain the level expected by Vrbo guests in the future! Thank you again for sharing your home with us.

Find anything else except this property

The property has basically been abandoned by the owners and for many years. There is maid service for linens and towels and surface cleanup. Even the showers are not properly cleaned, the kitchen lacks the basic pots/ pans, unsharpened knives, and the cabinets are filthy and in disarray. The air conditioning consists of one bedroom unit in the cathedral ceiling living room, none in the master bedroom and the upstairs bedroom to sleep 4, was stifling hot. The living room ceiling fans are not working at all. Two units in the other first floor bedrooms. No air conditioning in the kitchen and you cannot open the adjoining door to cool off the area as there is no screen door. We adjusted the kitchen ceiling fans so they were rotating in the same direction to try and cool the room. Nothing working in the basement, except the loud dehumidifier. Off the kitchen is an unlocked room to an unfilled and dirty indoor swimming pool and hot tub. Dangerous as the pool is approx. 8' deep. Plenty of spider webs on the floor heating units. The contact person is a realtor with a 610 area code cell number. We had a group of 17, including teenagers, so we had no where else to go or would have left immediately. The reviews have been removed since we booked and there are now only two stating the place is really clean, in the month of June 2022 even though it has been listed since 2018. I alerted the realtor and the reply was "I am sorry you feel this way".
