The Best VRBO Hosts Ever!

Joseph and Anya are perfect hosts. There were absolutely no unwelcome surprises - they went over and above to make our stay the best it could possibly be. The house was stocked properly in every way - we had whatever we needed in the kitchen and the bathrooms (including showers). Communication between us and Joseph was almost instantaneous every time. Highest recommendation!

Wanted to love it....

About a week before arrival, owner called me and stated I needed to purchase extra insurance if I wanted to stay, as a previous renter trashed the place. It was a week prior, so I had to agree in order to have a place for us to stay over the holidays. The owner of allowed us to check in early. Upon arrival, we noticed that parts of the house were very dirty, such as the chairs in the kitchen, the glass on the patio door. Not a huge deal, we cleaned them. Day two after wake up, everyone complained about a urine smell. We really thought that it was due to the house being humid and not having the AC running consistently. Upon check out, linens are to be removed from the bed and placed on the floor. Mattress pads in all three rooms had several urine stains on them, the pillows had blood stains on them, and upon further inspection, there was garbage (food, shoes, wrappers, etc.) under the beds. The pool was unusable by the end of the week due to algae, but it was for one day, so not a big deal. The grill was extremely dirty and the grates were so rusty that they were not usable. I did reach out to the owner after I saw under the bed and the mattress pads, as well as several photos. He blamed it on the previous renter, told me I should have contacted him right away. We did not know about the urine, and it should have NEVER been a problem. He did offer me a 150.00 credit. Not enough in my opinion. All should have been cleaned before we arrived. Owners' responsibility.

The perfect hosts and a nice home for your Florida getaway

Joseph and Arya are the perfect hosts. Nearly everything we needed besides food was provided. We were comfortable, and they were responsive to every request. Our 60-day stay in their home was the first time we escaped the northern winter as a snowbird in Florida. The best expression of our complete satisfaction is that we have already reserved this home for 72 days in 2025. The pool is heated to over 80 degrees and a large lanai covers the pool and a nice seating area. Trees and plants in the fenced backyard are numerous and have accent lights for night viewing. The location is on a quiet residential street that is about a 10-minute drive from the Atlantic Ocean beach, lighted pickleball courts in Doc Myers Park, and trails in Jonathan Dickenson State Park. It was a wonderful experience!

Great spring break with kiddos

House was very comfortable for three generations. We loved the house set up and the outdoor living space with the heated pool. A little off the beaten path in a neighborhood with lots of beach options. Hosts were very helpful and responsive. Did not feel like rental as decorations were specific and lots of personal items were in house which was fine with us. Thank you for letting us share your home for spring break with three young boys.

Lovely Oasis

We enjoyed our stay in the house and we were very pleased that the amenities met or exceeded the online description. The house is in a quiet neighborhood near a park and I enjoyed peaceful walks each morning. Friendly neighbors welcomed us and we felt quite at home I drove 2 miles to the Hobe Sound beach most days (very close by!) while my elderly parents enjoyed the screened-in pool at the house. It was so nice to have both the spacious outdoors in addition to the comfy indoors. The house is large and had everything we needed. If the house is available in the future we’d love to rent it again. The owner was helpful and we appreciated flexibility from the work crew when our return flight home was cancelled and we had to scramble for an hour to figure out a plan B. As a side note, the house has a fun eclectic global decor with artwork and books that we surmised is collected from all over the world. Only small things would improve the experience (I think we may have been one of the firsts to rent the house, so I imagine these tweaks could be implemented without much effort once owners are aware of them). It’d be nice to have some wash cloths and for the sheets to fit well enough that they don’t pop off of mattress while sleeping. Also, maybe a few notes about what the owners want us to use (or not use) such as spices in the cupboard or soaps in the showers. We largely avoided using these things to be safe, but it’d be nice to include info on the welcome instructions to be clear. . We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you! Amazing house from our perspective and we felt blessed to have stayed there.
