Large studio apartment has kitchenette with dishwasher and full size stove. Queen Sleep Number bed. Full bathroom has double sinks, a large walk-in shower and a washer and dryer. Outdoor space has gazebo and grill. Quiet foothills location is convenient to wineries, trails, Yadkin River activities, the Blue Ridge Parkway and Mount Airy (Mayberry!) One hour north of Charlotte via Interstate 77.

Wonderful place to stay! Very quiet and clean. It was nicely decorated with homemade touches. Plenty of stuff to cook with in the kitchen and had a washer and dryer if needed. The owners live on the property as well and they were super nice and inviting. I would love to stay here again!

The apartment was clean, spacious, and attractive. It had all the practical amenities of home. I stayed three nights but could've easily been comfortable there for a longer term.As the photos show, it has lots of natural light. At night, the blackout shades darkened the room for easy sleeping. A generous space for one or two travelers at the price. I'd gladly stay there again.

Awesome retreat!

This unique property was perfect for our needs. Close to the wineries and towns we wanted to visit. Quiet & peaceful. The hosts were awesome - even gave us a tour of the chapel area now converted to their home.

Quiet country location

This was a perfect place for my stay visiting family. The loaction is so peaceful and the property is very unique. The owners are amazing and provided everything I could possibly need. The apartment was spotless and well decorated. It's perfect for a single person or a couple to stay a while.

This was the perfect place for my "me time" stay! Everything about it was even better than described. The host are lovely, caring people. If you are on the fence, may I recommend you do yourself a favor and stay here? I will certainly be back!

My second stay!

This was my second visit to the church house. Once again it was just lovely. It feels very private and the apartent is so quiet. It's nice to have the hosts nearby if i need anything, and they have been so welcoming for both of my stays. It's very clean and well furnished with everything you need.

The best cozy cottage.

My wife found this beautiful charming place. We were there like 4 days and we had such an awesome experience .its quiet safe and best of all beside it being super clean were the owners Elizabeth and Jim . We will definitely stay here again and will highly recommend to family and friends. This charming place is move in ready! You will not be disappointed!

A Wonderful Stay!

The Aaron’s are wonderful and warm hosts of a charming and homey efficiency apartment. It’s actually a part of an old AME church that they renovated into their own home ( the sanctuary) and a rental unit (the admin portion). They’ve created a relaxing and well furnished unit that we just loved during our long weekend stay in the area. The unit was very well laid out and thoughtfully put together….we lacked for nothing during our stay. We highly recommend this place!

I am from Louisiana. I am a construction electrician. I am constantly traveling/working hundreds of miles from home and I work very long hours daily. I was able to relaxe very well here and get the rest I needed for the next long day at work. Highly recommend for a peaceful stay!

Great little place with everything you need

We came to the area for the All star race so the options for lodging were limited and way overpriced. I spotted this place and was a little apprehensive to be honest because it’s in a church and has a grave yard in the pictures. If you feel the same way…don’t. It was a great place to stay 20 minutes from the track. We pulled up after being at the track all day and we’re easily able to get in and relax. It’s fully stocked with everything you could need during your stay. I highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again.

House was neat and clean

We left after the second night and went to a hotel. We we not made a wear that the owners were just on the other side of the door. Air conditioner was not working well it did not get below 72 either night we stayed. With current high temperatures after being out all day was not good for sleeping

This just wasn't a good fit for either of us. The booking was made by the guest's mother as a gift so the guest and his girlfriend apparently didn't know that it's an apartment that's attached to the church sanctuary, which we live in. The door they thought was a door to our living area is a door to a closet, which we keep locked. The apartment is actually very quiet and private and has a separate entrance. Our guests were careless in the apartment and left it quite dirty. In defense of the air conditioning, it's a new mini-split heat pump that most guests feel works well in that space.

Clean, easy safe parking, laid back atmosphere. All needs from soap, to towels, to kitchen materials were well furnished. The washing machine and dishwasher were nice bonuses. Highly recommend.

A very pleasant stay

We've booked many VRBO properties from Seattle WA, Hyannis MA to Texas, this property is hands down in the top 5%. If you are searching for a quiet getaway in the Yadkin Valley area, this property will not disappoint. Elizabeth and Jim created a lovely and comfortable apartment in such a unique setting. When we return to the area will definitely book again.

Great place for short and longer stays

It's a great little property run by very nice people. Even when I arrived at 1am, they were still available to make sure we were able to get in. There are nice views and lots of natural light. The next time we head down to NC, we plan on renting this place again. The only downside we encountered was the bed. With two large people (I'm 6'3, 350 pounds) that are both side-sleepers, it was hard to find a good setting that didn't feel like we were sleeping on the wood or rolling off the bed. Average-sized individuals will probably be fine.
