Guests who are looking for a quiet, upscale Sugar Mountain getaway will find Buckhorn Lodge an ideal place to settle in and enjoy the mountains in every season. Spend winter days skiing and snowboarding, return in summer for cool mountain temperatures and outdoor adventures, or simply settle in and enjoy the views. After a day exploring, soak in the large hot tub, relax on the deck, or gather around the outdoor stone fireplace for an evening of conversation and s'mores beneath the mountain sky.
Easy Main-Level Living
Garage access and just two steps into the home make arrival easy. Inside, the main level opens into an inviting great room with a gas-log fireplace and plenty of space to gather. The adjoining kitchen features granite countertops and an island with seating for two, while the dining table comfortably seats eight for family meals and leisurely dinners together.
Three of the home's six bedrooms are conveniently located on this level. The spacious primary king suite features a TV, private deck access, and a beautiful ensuite bathroom with a tiled shower and separate soaking tub. Across the hall are two comfortable queen bedrooms, each with a TV and ceiling fan, along with a second full bathroom featuring a tiled tub/shower combination.
Near the garage entrance, you'll also find a large mudroom that's perfect for dropping skis, boots, hiking gear, and jackets after a day outside, as well as the home's first laundry room.
A Lower Level Made for Fun
Head downstairs and the atmosphere gets a little more playful. Challenge the family to a game of pool, revisit an arcade classic on the Pac-Man machine, or pick your favorite tunes on the working jukebox.
A convenient kitchenette area with a microwave and full-size refrigerator makes it easy to keep drinks and snacks close at hand, and a second full laundry room adds extra convenience for larger groups and longer stays.
The lower level also features two additional king bedrooms, each with a TV and its own private sink area. These bedrooms share a full bathroom with a tub/shower combination. The sixth bedroom offers two twin beds, making it a great option for children or additional guests.
Mountain Air & Outdoor Living
The decks at Buckhorn Lodge are made for enjoying the beauty of Sugar Mountain. Step onto the main-level deck to take in the mountain views from oversized rocking chairs while dinner cooks nearby on the grill and granite-topped outdoor prep area. A table for four offers a lovely spot for morning coffee, an alfresco meal, or an evening glass of wine.
On the lower deck, a large hot tub invites you to unwind after a day on the slopes or trails, while the ski-lift swing adds a fun mountain touch. Steps lead down to the lower yard and outdoor stone fireplace—a wonderful place to gather on a crisp evening while still keeping conversation at a respectful level for the surrounding neighborhood.
Buckhorn Lodge offers plenty of space to spread out, play, dine, and enjoy time together in an intentionally peaceful setting.
