What a great location - privacy and convenience in one package. The pool is shared by three villas but that made the trip more festive and interesting. Tara was very responsive and Gabriel was on site for any issue that might have arisen, we had none. A beautiful property that I highly recommend.

Good location just ten minutes away from the busy area of tamarindo. A mini supermarket made it convenient to get water in case you don't want to drink tap water. Gabriel was really nice. He kept the pool clean and was friendly but stayed out of the way. This villa makes it possible for you to cook your own food instead of eating out constantly. Having two bathrooms was great for our family. Tara kept in contact by using the VRBO messaging and gave us all the details we needed pre and post stay. Overall, I felt safe in the villa. We had the whole pool to ourselves but keep in mind there are other villas that could be occupied if you book at a different time. We booked in the rainy season of August.

Rainy, but worth the trip!

Fantastic property. A little oasis in Playa Langosta, and would be great to share with another family! No one else staying on the property with us, so we had the place (and pool!) to ourselves. Tara provided some great suggestions for restaurants and day trips. Handyman was there daily to attend to our needs if there were any, otherwise he was mostly out of the way. Highly suggest a golf cart at a minimum if planning to stay here as town is a decent hike.

Sanctuary!

What a wonderful gem in close proximity to the action but far enough away for solitude. The home is well appointed, Tara provides 2 bath towels per room plus beach towels. The beds are super comfortable and the place was immaculate! My kids enjoyed the private pool. Tara is a terrific host who is available anytime. Highly recommend this property.

Taraā€™s little oasis is/was amazing. Just what we needed for our 10 day get away. Place was clean, the AC was amazing, walking distance to beach. We rented a golf cart from Pacific Coast rentals and it was the best money we ever spent. I would 100% tell anybody to come stay here. Tara always responded super fast. Will 100% be coming back

Perfect getaway spot

Canā€™t say enough good things about this place as well the Owner Tara and property manager Gabriel. The place is even nicer than the pictures, pool is fantastic place to stretch and unwind after the beach. It isnā€™t heat , but I found the temp a perfect brake from the heat. The pool area and outside area the perfect amount of vegetation to give you privacy but not in a claustrophobic way. Also itā€™s only a short walk to downtown Tamarindo. My 12 year old son and I could do it in 15 mins.There is a great restaurant just 2 blocks away called surf Club also great food and great people. I will definitely be back.

First visit but not the last!

This was our first time in Costa Rica so obviously first time in Tamarindo. The villa was just lovely. Perfect for us. Exactly as described, perfect location and everything was awesome. Tara is an amazing host and helped us navigate arriving with such patience. The area is not like in the US with street names and numbers so the first time was confusing! But she was excellent and helping us arrive. Great suggestions and guidance on where to go and what to see. We loved every minute and are already planning for next years trip when we will return with our adult kids! Thank you for the wonderful hospitality!!

We recently stayed at this VRBO rental and had a fantastic experience, thanks to its unbeatable location and cozy charm. While there were a few minor drawbacks, the overall experience was highly enjoyable.Location:The location is truly exceptional! Situated within walking distance of local shops, restaurants, and the beach, this house made it incredibly easy to explore the area. Whether we wanted to stroll to the beach or grab a acai bowl at a nearby cafĆ©, everything was just a stone's throw away.Accommodations:The house itself is beautifully designed, with stylish decor and plenty of natural light. Itā€™s clear that a lot of care went into creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Kitchen:The kitchen was functional but a bit small for our needs. While it had all the basics, the limited counter space made it challenging to cook more elaborate meals. For anyone planning to prepare quick breakfasts or simple dinners, itā€™s perfect, but foodies or families who enjoy cooking may find it a bit cramped.Pool: The pool area is stunning and Surrounded by lush greenery. The only downside is that the pool area is shared among three rentals on the property, which can accommodate up to 5 guests each. If the other rentals are fully occupied and guests take up all the pool seating, it can be challenging to find a spot to relax. While it wasnā€™t a major issue for us, itā€™s something to keep in mind if youā€™re planning a stay during peak times.We would ABSOLUTELY stay again! Thanks!

The review I wish Iā€™d seen before booking

First of all, the property is quite nice. The pool is beautiful and the villa itself is nice. The issues we had were more aimed toward the presence of the owner during our stay than anything else. The check-in process was messy and could have been done with simple and clear directions on where the villa is, where to enter, etc. Instead, the owner insisted on meeting us to check us in. Iā€™ve never had this at any other VRBO/vacation rental so I found it odd. Getting to the property was difficult as the GPS coordinates take you to a different address. We used google earth to find the property using satellite photos of the property when we were unsuccessful reaching the host due to bad weather. It was during check-in that we were informed about the ā€œbig fineā€ for leaving on the AC while away from the condo, but there was a bit of confusion regarding this because we thought she meant when we checked out at the end of our stay, not every time we left the property. This caught us by surprise as it was not highlighted in the listing, which I scoured to find if I had missed that detail when booking. I see it has now been added to the listing information since our stay. There was also an issue of being unable to enter the property because the host had her dog loose in the yard and the dog would not allow us in the gate. Overall we had a nice stay but we wished we would have known how present the owner would be on the property during our stay. It didnā€™t feel ā€œprivateā€ as stated.

We had a wonderful stay! The space was very comfortable for four of us and felt perfectly sized for a girls trip. The gated apartment made us feel safe and secure, which we really appreciated. The pool area was kept clean and beautifully lit at night ā€” perfect for a late-night dip after a day at the beach.The host was absolutely lovely ā€” incredibly responsive, helpful, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. That made everything seamless.A couple of small improvements would make it even better: the tabletop appliances could use an update, and adding one extra patio chair would be helpful so the dining chair doesnā€™t have to be moved outside when four people are eating.Overall, a great space, a fantastic host, and a very comfortable stay. Weā€™d happily return!

Loved Our Stay!

Tara's little compound is beautiful. Two of us stayed in a 2 bedroom as we liked the look of it and were not disappointed. The grounds are nice and each of the 3 units brand new and in beautiful shape. The unit was well appointed with nicer bedding and great bathrooms. The bedroom are nice. The common area was serviceable for sitting or a meal but not sufficiently comfortable for four to enjoy the day at home. The common pool area is very nice and key to cooling off after a morning at the beach. We loved the developing Playa Langosta neighborhood immensely. It's quiet and a nice walk or short drive to town with easy beach access. We felt very safe and we would return again.

The property was exactly like it was listed excellent

We had a great stay at this property three adults for five nights was a bet expensive I'm 100% sure I booked in Canadian funds and then when I got the bill on my credit card it was American Funds so it cost us a hundred bucks more than our budget at night oh well

Hello and Welcome! Being an avid traveler, several years ago I made my way to Costa Rica. Unlike many other countries I had visited Costa Rica instantly stole my heart; the warm and friendly people, the breathtaking landscape and the preservation of nature in its truest form captured me. I returned several times and decided this would be my new home but I wasnā€™t satisfied with keeping it all for myself. The properties I am hosting have given me the opportunity to share the amazing experiences I have here in Costa Rica with all of you.

THE LOCATION & SURF
Playa Langosta is located in the Guanacaste province; appropriately nicknamed the Gold Coast as it is the sunniest and most desirable beach destination in all of Costa Rica. It is easily accessible from a one hour beautiful scenic drive from Liberia (Daniel Oduber) International Airport. One of the common reasons for visiting Playa Langosta is its unbelievable surf. At the southern end of the sandy shoreline, the mouth of an estuary has an excellent surf break that often attracts boarders who prefer to hit the waves in a low-key, quiet area. The river mouth waves are short and fast, and are ideal for experienced surfers. Boasting both right and left breaks, Playa Langosta's waves typically peak at the same place, but surfers should still keep an eye out for rocks and coral here. Surfers will love coming to this area, as there are several other beaches in the region that feature great conditions such as Tamarindo, Playa Negra, Playa Grande and El Estero. Playa Grande has the most consistent breaks in the region and is popular for its surf spot called "La Casita". Playa Negra is another great spot to catch a wave, but is only recommended for expert riders as the break is very fast.

Do not be fooled by other properties that claim to be "near" or a "short ride" to the prized Playa Langosta. We are in the heart of Langosta and a true, comfortable walking distance to Tamarindo whereas a car will not be needed. Many other properties will require a rental car to come down from the mountains or drive at least 20 minutes to get to the beach. With the Stellar Villas the beach is only steps away.

Enjoy the amenities that you would of a boutique hotel such as a refreshing pool, literally steps to the beach, maid service, and high speed wifi but without the crowds and lack of intimacy that you must endure in the hotel environment. The villas have been designed with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows in the living space yet each detailed with a different style.

If you have a large group please consider our Total Stellar Villa package. This will grant you full use of the entire property (all 3 villas) which will house 15 guests.

While the villas share the property, through the use of lush tropical landscaping we have supplied ample privacy for our guests. The villas each have their own entrance and plenty of parking is available. Each villa provides a fully equipped kitchen and eating area to prepare a family meal or allow one of our highly talented, world renowned, local chefs to create a feast for your palate and eyes.
