ADK South Shore Retreat with lake access

Enjoy your time in the ADK's relaxing at our newly renovated, private, spacious home, which also includes lake access. This is a 4 season retreat. We have 5 bedrooms, 3.5 baths and an oversized basement that includes: a kitchenette, big screen TV, pool table and ping pong. We have lake rights to Lake Pleasant. Swimming, kayaking, or canoeing are only a 10 min walk or short drive. Please note: our lake access is shared with neighbors. Rent a boat for a day of fun or bring your own and use our mooring. There is also plenty of hiking nearby. In the winter, enjoy the slopes; Oak Mountain is 5 mins away and Gore Mountain, only 30 mins. There is quick trail access for your snowmobile as well. Our home is perfect for one family or larger groups. There is plenty of room for everyone to enjoy themselves.

Brian and Kim were very accommodating and flexible. The house was very clean and we appreciated the nice touches like the coffee bar! The beds were very comfortable too. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and will return!

Absolute Pleasure

What a great experience! The home was exceptionally clean and exactly how presented. There were plenty of bedrooms, all nicely decorated and it was conveniently located to town. The kitchen was very nice and roomy and the living room was a great size and comfortable. I loved that there were large fans around the house and the basement was so fun with ping pong and a pool table. The host made everything easy and they were super friendly with all communication. Perfect for a big family! We will definitely book again.

Pictures don’t do it justice! Amazing house!

This house was everything we needed and more! The pictures don’t do it justice. It was incredibly clean when we arrived and so much space. We had 8 children and 7 adults plus all of our ski/snowboard stuff. We made some wonderful memories and had an absolute blast. Brian and Kim are extremely responsive and easy to communicate with. Thank you Brian and Kim for a wonderful ski weekend, we will definitely be back!

Great place!

Our stay at the house was great. Communication with the owners was fast and pleasant. This home is fully stocked to accommodate a big family. All of my family and friends had a great time in the space. Thank you so much for accommodating our group of 12.

Photos don't do it justice!

This was a great house for our 4 generation gathering. The first floor bedroom with bath was perfect for my father. The kitchen was plenty big enough for many cooks to be working together. The double living rooms were full of comfy seating and the upstairs bedrooms were spacious. The basement level game & TV room & kitchenette was a popular spot and the fire pit was right outside the basement door. The deck is small but easily accessible and the garage entrance makes it easy for those with mobility issues. The only thing I can think of that might help those with littles is to bring outlet covers and two stair gates. There is a pack& play and highchair already there! The house sits off the road, has plenty of parking and a generous front yard. The hosts were easy to work with and answered all our questions. I totally recommend a stay at ADK South Shore Retreat!

Awesome CLEAN house!

We had a blast staying at this property. The house was super clean with plenty of space and beds. When we weren't at the lake, we loved hanging out in the basement playing ping pong. Host was communicative and check in and out was seamless. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Getaway

My whole group enjoyed the house so much. The weather was not all sunshine and rainbows while we were there, but the house was so nice we didn’t mind spending it inside. Other than that, the house was clean, had lots of space, and located in an area that has access to anything you’d want to do. We will be coming back for sure!

We are Brian and Kim Hostetter, we have 3 children, live in Southeastern PA. and have grown to love visiting the Adirondack's. We love it so much, that we decided to purchase this home in 2020 with the dual purpose of using it as a vacation home as well as a short term vacation rental. Our desire is that our guests enjoy their time at our "retreat" even more than we do. We enjoy the area very much and it brings us much joy when we visit. One of the best parts about being a host is hearing how much fun our guests have and the great memories that are made staying out our "retreat". We feel the area is special and want others to experience it as well. We visit the area quite often. We enjoy spending time with family that lives in the area, as well as hiking, swimming, boating, skiing and exploring the surrounding area. My husband and 3 sons spend a lot of time hiking in the high peaks region of the park. They are trying to hike all 46 of the high peaks and someday become Adirondack "46ers". We hope someday to purchase at least one snowmobile and experience some of the many miles of trails in the area.
