Welcome to your cozy and comfortable escape to nature and the mountains! Enjoy a stay with no cleaning fee, and bring your furry friends alongā€”our home is pet-friendly with a small additional fee. The open floor plan is easy to navigate, and there's no need to worry about stairs as you enter. While we donā€™t have specialized handicapped accommodations, the wide doorways make it simple for guests using standard wheelchairs. Plus, there are two showers with a shallow "step-over" of less than four inches.

This spacious home boasts five inviting bedrooms, making it the ideal getaway for families and friends. Centrally located, you're just minutes away from all the fun and excitement that Colorado has to offer. Enjoy the peaceful surroundings on our lovely 4-acre property, which is surrounded by other privately owned homes.

Youā€™ll love the large, modern kitchen, a generous laundry room, and plenty of cozy spots to kick back and enjoy quality time together. With Starlink internet access and TV, the open floor plan and kitchen island create a welcoming space for everyone to gather. Each bedroom is spacious enough to give you privacy whenever you need it.

With three bathrooms to accommodate everyone comfortably, youā€™ll find that two bedrooms feature king beds, two have queen beds, and one comes with four twin beds (two sets of built in bunks)ā€”plus, thereā€™s a fold-out couch for extra sleeping space.

Perched at nearly 9,000 feet above sea level, the cool evenings are perfect for gathering around the fire pit, though do keep in mind that there may be occasional county fire bans.

We love pets, so feel free to bring your well-trained furry companions! You might even spot some of the local wildlife around our yard, including deer, foxes, bobcats, bears, squirrels, and chipmunks.

This was a wonderful home with 5 bedrooms and very clean home. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, cookware and some condiments, etc. A nice location and within driving distances of many places to visit. Definitely a home we would stay in again if we were in the same region.

We loved your home. We especially appreciated the 3 full bathrooms and the very well-appointed kitchen. Every utensil and spice we needed was right at our fingertips. Lots of extra towels too. The remote location was so peaceful. The full moon looked amazing last night because there was no ambient light. Thank you for providing a great spot for our mini-family reunion !!

Beautiful quiet getaway

The property was very clean and located in a beautiful, quiet area. It had everything we needed and was wonderfully decorated inside and out! We were able to enjoy nice weather during our stay and took advantage by getting local BBQ and hiking around 11 mile canyon, which was very close by!

Overall great stay

Loved the house. Was very clean and comfy. Hottub wasnt working which was extremely disappointing because that was a huge selling point for me on the place. But the large bathtub inside was still nice and overall still loved my stay. Would definitely rent again.

Absolutely Gorgeous Home

We needed a get away, and we got exactly what we needed! The house was beautiful and the property is gorgeous! The owners have made the house feel like a home away from home and they are so sweet and very interesting people. They stayed a bit afterwards to talk to us and it was so cool to get to know them a little bit and hear their stories! We loved our stay and look forward to coming back!

Great Stay!!

Staying at this property was perfect for our family thanksgiving!! The owners were very nice and helpful with the check in and settling process. The property was absolutely stunning, we got some snow one of the nights, which made it that much more perfect. We would definitely recommend this property and will stay again!

Beautiful Getaway

My friend and I had a girls weekend at this property, so it was plenty spacious for the two of us. The landscape is beautiful, and the directions from the host guided us right to the house. While we didnā€™t use several of the amenities, they were all as listed. The kitchen is well-stocked with dishes, which was of importance to us. This property is great for groups large or small!

Nice location away from the busyness of town but not to far of a drive to get gas or food from Walmart. Beds were comfortable and clean. Could use a box fan as the room we stayed in got warm at night. House was nice and clean. Seen some Spiders but that is expected at the change of season and ā€œcountry ā€œ living. Only drawback was the hot tub was not filled or ready for use. This made us sad but not a deal breaker. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful getaway

We enjoyed our brief stay at this beautiful home. The rooms are well appointed, with very thoughtful touches throughout. The beds were comfy, lots of cozy blankets, and plenty of room for everyone. We appreciated the ease of this cabin. There are no cranky rules, just common sense things. The house is well maintained, and clean. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone. I will say it's remote-- but you should have figured that out when you looked at the map. Having said that, it's peaceful, quiet, easy to get to and just what we were looking for.

Great house but so many rules and no hot tub

Nice stay overall, but advertised a hot tub which is why we chose it, and show up to a non-functional hot tub that was all dirty and paneling was torn off. And there are So many rules to this houseā€¦ I always treat each place I stay in super well, so to have all the rules and regulations was a bit too much for me.

AMAZING Colorado getaway...for a family or even just a couple

Oh my gosh, this place was amazing!! My husband and I went for our 25th Anniversary. The house was just perfect. It had EVERYTHING you needed in the kitchen and then some. :) The scenery was spectacular! The jacuzzi on the deck was HEAVENLY!! The managers and owners were incredible with their quick responses. They gave us great ideas of things to do in the area...such as The Royal Gorge, Garden of the Gods, The Broadmoor 7 Falls hike, the Ironwood Brewery, etc...So much to see and so much to do, yet also a great place to rest and enjoy God's beautiful land.

Hot tub was NOT working - gave shimpy discount : (

Booked this bc of the hot tub. As soon as I drove up I could see a panal on it was loose. Looked inside, all there was snow! Talked to agent, said I would get a refund. They gave 35 back a day for a very expensive rental. Not impressed with that service at all.If the hot tub had been working it would have been a totally different experience. Or had I recieved a real discount for it not working.

Pine Cone owner, Jodi, has been in the wealth management business in Prescott for over three decades, and is senior partner of Taylor & Padgett Wealth & Legacy Strategies. She is a Certified Financial Planner (1988) and has her MS in financial planning (2006). Padgett often refers to herself as a ā€œphilanthropist in progress,ā€ taking the firmā€™s motto ā€” striving to partner with people who want to make wise decisions about money, and who endeavor to leave a legacy ā€” to heart.

She feels blessed to live in the small, peaceful rural community of Skull Valley, partnering with Fiona Reid, in the Painted Lady Vineyard, and is very happy to now have her son, Jake, as part of Taylor & Padgett. Her hobbies include work (she hasnā€™t figured out that work is not a hobby), the world of wine-grape growing, running, is a bookworm and member of a small book club.

The Pinecone is managed by Toni Moore, Jodi's childhood friend, who also owns and manages the nearby TihsreeD Lodge Wedding and Event Venue with her husband, Don Moore.
