Romantic hideout in beautiful surroundings
Il Susino is part of Podere La Fonte. It is a completely independent self catering apartment for two people. In addition to the double bedroom (en suite) there is a kitchen-dining room with wood burning stove. An ideal base for an idyllic holiday in any season.Come and enjoy a taste of authentic country life. 'La Fonte' is a Tuscan romantic stone country house set amongst olive groves and vineyards on the edge of the stunning Cecina river valley. It is a natural environment where it is still possible to hear the tinkling of sheep bells. There is a reserved Il Susino guests outdoor dining area in the garden with table and chairs where one can enjoy a meal and a glass of wine while watching the sunset behind the rolling hills . There is plenty of space in the garden for quiet reading and sunbathing also. Here you can appreciate the calmness and serenity of life.
FOOD PROVIDED ON REQUEST* : We are happy to provide organic vegetarian meals for an additional charge.
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all available upon request. Our wholesome meals are made with our own organic produce including cereals, vegetables, fruit, herbs, oil and wine. These form the basic ingredients for our traditional, healthy dishes. At breakfast we serve home made jam and fruit juices. As far as possible we try to purchase all other produce from organic sources. We charge € 5 per person for breakfast and between €25 and €40 for main meals (this includes our own organic house wine).
*Min. for 4 persons (normally we are not able to cater for two people only but if Il Susino guests have friends staying or there other guests at La Fonte for whom we are cooking this enables us to cater for the additional numbers please enquire while you are here)

We request our guests not to smoke indoors but you may smoke outside.

Anfitrião: Emanuela e Marco Garosi
Marco purchased Podere La Fonte in 1976. Since then together with his wife Emanuela they have worked with passion to make it into the superb property it is today - a self-sustaining organic farm harnessing the produce and a style of life which they are willing to make available to their guests.
Por que o anfitrião escolheu essa propriedade
Marco grew up in Rome and had started his studies in Agriculture in Perugia when he found this unique spot close to this lovely village, immersed in such beauty. It is here he decided to realise his dream for a sustainable agricultural path. The main current products are organic oil and wine and a whole variety of vegetables and fruit. Emanuela also has a passion for herbs from which she creates delicious infusions.
O que faz essa propriedade ser única?
La Fonte is a stone throw from Radicondoli. After a day’s sight seeing you can leave your car and relax in the village and enjoy a glass of wine or a meal with no worries. There are festival times in the spring and summer months with cultural events, street parties and communal open air eating both in Radicondoli and local villages. May 1st is a special time with singing and picnicking. To be able to walk to these events is a real treat. There is no other farm so near to the village and Marco and Emanuela themselves take full advantage of this.
