In the heart of Marfa and within walking distance to the St. George Hotel , The Chianti Foundation, Main Street with several restaurants, cool shops and bars. This room features a queen size bed. It is a nice size room with its own entrance. Can be rented with space next door to sleep up to 4 people and would include the kitchen in the other unit..The back patio is shared among guests and can be accessed through the back of the building.
The space
Originally a commercial space is a great place to relax and enjoy the sights and stars of West Texas. This space rented with Space 3 would make the entire space a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom and would sleep up to 4 people. There is a shared interior door!

Great location

We loved the location, and the room was clean and minimal and great. The only hiccup was that there was no hot water for showers, and at times almost no water pressure. We wish we would have known that was a possibility.

Comfortable and accommodating…

I arrived in Marfa in the middle of the night and accessed the room leaving the host a message that I was entering early and would pay the additional fee. Message was well received and fee was minimal. The hot water was not working in unit 2 and I was given unit 3 for my visit. NP the beds were like clouds and the overall situation was very good.

Historic Charm

The Room was amazing, perfect for our 2 night stay for our friends wedding. The building is clearly old, and it was spruced up with some boutique furniture that reflected the vibe of Marfa. They left Los Poblanos shampoos for us (being from New Mexico, that was awesome), and the towels were fluffy and wonderful. If you have a husband like I do that likes to take long showers, be sure to get in there first, because the hot water doesnt last long. The bed was so comfortable! The location was perfect to easily get to shops, galleries and restaurants.

The property itself is just fine for what it is. Considering I went with the most affordable room possible I can't complain. No issues with cleanliness and once I figured out how the AC/heater worked, all was good. Like other reviews though the water heater made for cold showers. You have approximately 2 minutes of hot water. Pro tip: once the waters hot, rinse yourself, turn the water off and lather yourself, then rinse the soap off quickly to conserve the hot water. Another issue was the space heater contraption next to the fridge made a god awful high pitched noise. It's such a small thing but was so utterly irritating to listen to. Lastly, I was unable to connect to the Wi-Fi via either network with the password provided. And I was unable to contact the property host through the expedia/vrbo site either. So communication with the property manager was non existent. The bottom line is you get what you pay for. I have no major complaints, but next time it would be worth the extra $10 - $20 to go elsewhere.

Just a few things

I used to live here, but never knew what these rooms looked like so booked my stay to find out! Just some pros and cons for future visitors to consider: Pros: The bed and sheets were so so cozy and comfortable. I have a very bad back and was nervous the bed wouldn’t be firm enough when I sat on it, but it did me just fine. The sheets were soft and now I’m going to buy my own set now that I know how they feel! Coffee maker and mini fridge in the room. I only found utensils after I needed them, but they are there. The listing is a little misleading regarding the kitchen. There is no microwave in the room, but there is a shared kitchen in the back with the microwave and a larger fridge. Cons: The lights! With a shared outdoor space and kitchen comes motion sensor lights, I’m assuming. The curtains in the room do little in blocking out light, so I would be on the verge of falling asleep and the lights outside would come on, waking me out of sleep. They came on multiple times throughout both of my nights here, so it got a little old. The AC also has a blue illuminated light on it that is SO BRIGHT. I couldn’t reach it even standing on the couch, so I wasn’t able to tape anything over it to block it out. If you’re tall, bring tape. Second to the lights, there was a high pitched ringing that went on for over an hour and cycled every thirty min or so. It was definitely related to something turning on, but I couldn’t tell from what and it was not a sound I was able to tune out.
