512S is a sun drenched, 3 bedroom corner unit that offers views to the end of the horizon. The living room featuring floor to ceiling sliding doors, on two sides and the wrap around balcony offers the guest a unforgettable stay. Just East of Perdido Pass, next to quiet, undeveloped, open beach spaces, and only seconds away from the infamous Flora-Bama, sits the beautiful Wind Drift complex. 512S has a spacious floor plan, side by side washer/dryer, WIFI, sleek furnishings, with modern color schemes and decor, LCD cable TV's with DVD in all 3 bedrooms & total of 2 1/2 baths. The fee of $30 is paid at the onsite association located on the north side of the street.

Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 2 vehicles.
This rental is located on floor 5.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We truly enjoyed our experience at Wind Drift. We have stayed here on vacations for several years now. It is always a great fit for our group with plenty of opportunities for family time, beach time, and relaxing. Our stay in 512SW was no exception.

Nice condo, lovely view!!

This is a nice condo on the beach with a lovely corner view. Nothing but beach between this unit and the pass so you have a wide open view of the beach, the pass, and gorgeous sunsets. The beach is clean and isn’t crowded. My only complaint was that the bedspreads were very thin and there were no blankets at all. If you rent this unit, just be sure to take blankets unless you’re comfortable sleeping with little more than a sheet.

Everything was perfect! Very clean and spacious condo with an amazing view! Everything you could possibly need is supplied with the exception of food. We will definitely stay again!

Beautiful Condo!

This condo was absolutely beautiful. Corner unit looked out onto the entire beach, very clean and cute, conveniently located less than 5 minutes from shopping center. Will definitely be coming back! (Hopefully to this unit!)

Wind Drift 512S

Loved the location of this condo. The State Park located immediately to the West provided a vast open area next to our condo. Great sunset opportunities. Beach is located at the end of a 60 foot boardwalk. Easy and quick access to the beach. Plenty of open beach area to the West of the condo leaving plenty of room for the building’s guests to spread out. If you are looking for the latest and greatest this may not be your place. If you are looking for a practical affordable location book your stay.

Excellent Views, Great Experience!

Absolutely loved the views from this Condo! The condo was very clean and had everything we needed for a great experience. Was a little concerned after reading review from earlier this month about the main doors to balcony being stuck but was pleasantly surprised that they were fixed and had no issues at all. We were treated to a couple of fireworks shows during the week, with the corner unit we could see the show from all rooms on the west side! I highly recommend this unit!

We paid way more than we normally would have for this corner unit with a spectacular view down the beach. Upon arrival the condo had a musty smell so we went to upon the balcony door in the living room, it was jammed shut. I immediately called and reported the issue to Vacasa. Sunday afternoon a gentleman came out to check it and said there was nothing he could do, the manufacturer would need to be sent out. Monday night the frame in the master bedroom broke while we were sleeping, this issue was reported the next am, and never got fixed during our stay. Luckily my husband found some wood behind the couch and was able to prop it up. The manufacturer for the door came out Tuesday and said there was nothing he could do. After multiple requests someone from the local office called my husband and basically said they are at the mercy of the manufacturer to when it would be fixed. We understand that part but kindly asked for some sort of refund since the only access to balcony was from the master bedroom, affording us no privacy since we were there with 2 other adults and 3 kids. Clint advised he couldn’t approve that but would check with his manager. Two weeks have passed since we left and we have heard nothing from the local office after calling and emailing about a refund. Vacasa was terrible to deal with and we will never rent another until If they are the manager. The condos interior had not been updated as other units have.

Lovely view

Need to get the balcony door fixed, no access from living area and had to go through the bedroom to get out there. Otherwise, nice unit with a great view!

Beautiful views/Condo needs work

The view is amazing and space is great with wonderful location. If you are allergic to black mold choose a different condo. Owner did work with us because of this problem and gave us partial refund.

Our stay at Wind Drift

My husband and I have been staying at Wind Drift for the past 6 years. We took friends with us this year and had the absolute best time! The view from 512S was spectacular and the accommodations were quite comfortable. The kitchen was surprisingly more than adequate and beds so comfy! We hope to bring an additional couple with us next year! Thank you for the most enjoyable week! See you next year!

Terrible smell

The unit smelled like dead shrimp (or another kind of dead animal). At times it was stronger than others, but the smell was never gone completely. There was also mildew all over the master shower curtain. The drains in both tubs were so clogged, by the time you finished your shower the water was ankle deep. It took 4 days for a repairman to come. He did fix the drains but was not able to find the source of the smell. So basically, we spent almost $5000 for the condo and only slept there because we had no where else to go. We couldn’t hang out there because of the smell. The one positive was it has an amazing view.
