At Les Brisants, enjoy an exclusive, comfortable holiday with spectacular sea views, direct access to the beach and an ideal location right next to one of the most popular spots on the island of Oléron: the picturesque fishing port of La Cotinière.
You'll be able to relax and recharge your batteries, as we've done everything possible to ensure you have the stay of your dreams: top-quality, fully-equipped accommodation, a tasteful change of scenery, top-of-the-range services with everything included: bed and bathroom linen, cleaning, Wi-Fi, parking, pets welcome free of charge, heating in winter...
You'll also appreciate the exceptional location of Les Brisants: leave your car in the garage and you won't need it during your stay! The beach is directly accessible. The shops, markets, restaurants and entertainment of the port of La Cotinière are a 5-minute walk away. What's more, you can easily explore the whole island thanks to the cycle path and free summer shuttles that pass in front of the house.
Interior spaces :
Our spacious 146 m2 villa has a large living room, a fully equipped kitchen, 3 bedrooms, a mezzanine, 2 showers and 2 WCs, as well as a garage.
The villa sits on the dune beside the beach, so it has two levels. A 6-step staircase separates the lower level, which faces the garden and the street, from the upper level, which faces the ocean.
- The living room and kitchen are located in the upper part of the house. They boast magnificent sea views, so you can enjoy the ocean whatever the weather or the season. They also provide direct access to the terrace and garden.
- The ‘driftwood’ bedroom also has a beautiful sea view and direct access to the terrace. It has plenty of storage space and high-quality 140 cm bedding.
- The ‘polished glass’ bedroom is in the lower part of the villa and overlooks the garden. It includes a bathroom with a vanity unit, a spacious shower, a dressing area and a comfortable double bed (140cm).
- On the same level, also overlooking the garden, the ‘coquillages’ bedroom also has a dressing area and a 140cm bed.
- The 15 m2 mezzanine overlooks the living room and is furnished with 2 single beds. It overlooks the harbour and is child-proof (Plexiglas-lined railings and child-proof door at the top of the stairs).
Please note, however, that access is via a very steep miller's ladder, which is not recommended for people with reduced mobility or unaccompanied young children.
- The upper level of the house also includes a shower room with vanity unit, walk-in shower and WC, as well as a separate WC with vanity unit. Towels, hand towels and bath mats, as well as hand soap and shower shampoo, are provided free of charge.
- In the garage, you'll find a washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as an ironing board and iron, all useful for optimising your luggage and making your holidays carefree!
You can also park a small car or store your bicycles in the garage to take full advantage of the cycle path that runs in front of the house. Parking for 2 additional cars is possible in the private driveway in front of the garage.
Outdoor areas:
Located on the seafront, in the heart of a protected natural area, Les Brisants villa also benefits from an exceptional exterior. It boasts an enclosed, landscaped garden of 750 m2, optimally equipped for your comfort.
- Enjoy unforgettable moments of conviviality on the magnificent south-facing terrace, with its breathtaking ocean views. It's equipped with a high-quality electric griddle and all the garden furniture you need for meals and relaxation.
- You can relax and admire the sea on the sun loungers or, why not, take a siesta in the hammock.
- And of course, a rarity on Oléron, all you have to do is push open the garden gate to go directly to the beach. When you return, you can take advantage of the heated outdoor shower and change in the cabins.
Important information to know before booking:
At Les Brisants, we do our utmost to ensure that you have an excellent stay. In order to guarantee you a quality, carefree experience, we ask you to read the following rules and information carefully and to accept them before booking.
Occupancy rules
- 8 travellers maximum
Large parties and group events are not permitted.
- Extra babies possible
The maximum occupancy rule of 8 people may be exceeded for babies sleeping in their own cot. Baby equipment (cot, high chair, etc.) can be provided on request at extra cost.
- Pets welcome on request
Pets are welcome free of charge under the responsibility of their owners in the event of damage and if the latter pick up their droppings in the garden and suck up their hairs in the house. Please inform us of their presence before your arrival.
Arrival from 4 pm and departure before 10 am
- Early arrival and late departure subject to availability and confirmation.
Out of season, we are happy to offer early check-in and/or late check-out if the booking calendar allows. Please do not hesitate to contact us.
- Independent arrival
You will be informed in good time of the arrangements for your arrival and departure.
The house is equipped with a secure, connected key-box system that allows you to access the accommodation independently.
- Inventory of fixtures
To help you make the most of the villa's many facilities and amenities, you will find a detailed inventory available on arrival. Please let us know of any shortages, malfunctions or damage on the day of your arrival. If you fail to do so, the rented property will be presumed to be in good condition and to comply with the inventory provided.
Accessibility and location

The villa sits on a dune on the edge of the beach, which has a number of special features.
The garden can be accessed from the street after taking 1 step, and runs around the house on a gentle slope.
Inside the villa, a 6-step staircase separates two of the bedrooms on the street side from the rest of the house on the ocean side.
- Mezzanine
The villa's 4th bedroom is a mezzanine overlooking the living room. It is accessed via a very steep miller's ladder, which is not recommended for people with reduced mobility or unaccompanied young children.
- Directions
The villa enjoys an exceptional location close to all the shops, restaurants and entertainment in La Cotinière, one of the most popular spots on the Ile d'Oléron. As a result, the tourist road and cycle path in front of the house are very busy in high season. The villa is therefore not suitable for people looking for a secluded, peaceful holiday location in summer.
Safety and eco-responsibility
- Non-smoking house
If you wish to smoke outside, please be very careful, as the dune is fragile... Put your cigarette ends in the ashtray provided.
- Fireplace for decorative purposes only
The villa is located in a protected natural area subject to very strict environmental regulations. For these reasons, the use of fireplaces is prohibited.
- Flame candles prohibited

- Tents and swimming pools not permitted in the garden
The regulations in force in the area prohibit them, subject to fines.
- Safety devices

Fire extinguisher
Alarm system comprising movement and opening detectors inside the house and a security camera outside, which only work when the alarm system is activated and there are no occupants in the house.
Cleaning
To ensure that your holiday is as comfortable and stress-free as possible, we have arranged for a cleaning service to be carried out before your arrival at no extra charge.
However, we would ask you to :
- Wash and put away your crockery, cooking utensils and appliances.
- Clean the plancha if you have used it.
- Sort your rubbish and empty and dispose of your bins in accordance with the rules specified on site.
The cleaning service included does not exempt you from taking care of the premises and returning them in an appropriate state of order and cleanliness, corresponding to normal use of the accommodation.
In the event of abuse, a cleaning fee may be charged.
We also ask you to take care of the equipment and linen provided and to return them in good condition.
Tourist tax
The Ile d'Oléron community of municipalities imposes and collects a tourist tax from travellers staying on the island. The amount of this tax will be added to the total cost of the reservation.

You'll also appreciate the exceptional location of Les Brisants: leave your car in the garage and you won't need it during your stay! The beach is directly accessible.
