With an open floor plan and multiple decks, there's plenty of room for everyone to gather and enjoy each other's company, without feeling like you’re spending the whole vacation on top of one another. With multiple decks both covered and uncovered the incredible views offered by the Outer Banks surround Porch Song and are great for morning coffee or evening drinks no matter the weather. Only a short walk to the beach, this conveniently placed home is also close to several restaurants and retail stores. You can spend the day out and about or relax on the patio with a private fenced-in pool to catch some rays and go for a dip. Unwind from a day of exploring one of the many historic sites or adventure tourism options like surfing and jet skiing, with a relaxing soak in your own personal hot tub. Kitty Hawk is located near several attractions so you won't have to go far to make memories that will last a lifetime.

Optional Linen Package (sheet set, bath towels and mats) $275 plus tax (Beds Made and 10 Bath Sets) **Beds come equipped with comforters and pillows by default.**

Ground Level: Gated private pool, outdoor table, chairs for 6, outdoor shower, carport.

First Level: Master Bed W/Queen, Flat screen TV, 2 Bedrooms W/Queens, flat-screen TVs, Jack and Jill bathroom, duo bunk-bottom is a double bed/top twin, (has to gain bathroom access through a bedroom) Washer and Dryer.

Second Level: Master bed W/King bed, master bath, kitchen W/bar and seating for 4, dining area W/table for 6, and living area with a flat-screen TV.

great house - had everything we needed

We enjoyed the space and it had everything we needed. 5 minute walk to beach - maybe a little more. i would recommend this house. The only thing that really bugged us at first, was that there was no way to get from second floor deck to the third floor deck from the outside of the house. by the end of the week we got used to it!

The location of the home was perfect for my family. We enjoyed the amenities like the pool and hot tub. Overall the home was not as clean as I was expecting to be. We ended up getting our cleaning supplies like a mop to clean the floor as our feet were black upon entering the home. Other than that, it was perfect!

We enjoyed the house! Plenty of space for 8 adults and the kitchen was fully stocked, it’s the first house our family has vacationed in that we didn’t have to go buy something for cooking! Was also a very easy walk over to the beach!

We did have to call and let them know that after being there for a few hours our kids feet were black. Once we reached out they did send 2 cleaners to swiffer the floors, but honestly it didn’t do much. The house could use a deep clean. Our refrigerator didn’t produce ice or water, they also sent someone out for that. There were a few drawer handles loose too. House could definitely use a deep clean and some updating but it was located perfectly to the beach

We had a lovely stay at Porch Song and found it to be a nice stay overall. The kitchen was well stocked with the essentials. One drawback was that the refrigerator didn’t make ice or dispense water, but I had mentioned that it wasn’t a major inconvenience for us since I could easily buy a bag of ice.One other issue was with one of the bedroom TVs not working. Thankfully, the management team responded quickly and replaced it the same day, which we appreciated. The furniture was comfortable in the living room and on the deck.The comforter in the master bedroom appeared outdated and didn’t fit the bed properly. Since the comforters weren’t included in the linens package, I didn’t report it, but it might be worth mentioning for future guests.The house was spacious for our family of 8. however renters should be aware that if they are traveling with elder relatives, the many stairs could be a bit of challenge.Another downside was that the bunk bed was uncomfortable for my adult daughters who found it too springy and uncomfortable. It may be better suited for younger children. There was also sand on the top bunk bed. Some stray hairs were found too. Also there was no foosball table as shown in the pictures. Other than that, the bedrooms were fine. It was a 5 min walk to the beach and a short drive to many restaurants and stores. It was wonderful having a refreshing pool after a long day at the beach. The outdoor shower to wash off the beach sand was great too.Thank you.

Relaxing

The property is beautiful. There were a couple of issues but they were fixed in a couple of hours. Could not be happier with the home.

The home was cozy and well equipped for our family of 6. With two days of un-beach-able rain, the house had many board games and books to choose from. There was a stash of various baby items, though I’m not sure if they were left from previous tenants or from the company, that were in subpar shape (eg. two umbrella strollers and neither of them had functional straps). My only complaint was that the floors almost immediately turned my socks black, to the point that I didn’t feel comfortable letting my daughter (11m) crawl and play on the floor. I emailed the realty company but never heard back, probably because I added that I didn’t necessarily want someone to come out and clean but that I wanted them to be aware. When our lock wasn’t working, the owner called me herself and offered her personal cell number to text if it happened again. Excellent service when it mattered the most!

Porch song stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Generally had a nice week. Facility is ideally located for our purposes. Next door to another house that we also rent so ideal for 5 families. Location off main streets, back yard pool and proximity to ocean make it perfect for children. Had to deal with faulty smoke detectors and water pooling up at garage entrance ( lots of rain from nearby hurricane) but generally had a good stay. Detectors were repaired. A little drainage channeling would help with the pooling water. Facility was clean. We still look forward to another years stay at this location.

Porch Song rental in Kitty Hawk, NC

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I was very satisfied with this rental. Our party of 10 included three generations in ages from the 80’s to 10 years old. There were plenty of books, puzzles and games to occupy our time away from the beach. The pool was enjoyed by all. We liked having the outdoor gas grill. Our only two complaints were no working can openers, and one chair in screened in porch was in need of a bolt to secure it. There was one board lifted on the pool deck. We didn’t report these small inconveniences since we were able to work around them and we still had a great time. We chose early check in which I thought was excessive. Otherwise a good time was had by all.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Not the best place I've stayed but comfortable and good amenities. To have 5 bedrooms, a private pool and a hot tub, the price was good. We had a couple of issues that were resolved quickly for Memorial Day weekend, and extended the stay an extra day. A couple of reviewers noted that there wasn't a gas grill so I brough charcoal, but there is a gas grill there now. Also renters should be aware that the bunk bedroom (1 of 4 bedrooms on the middle level) does not have access to a full bathroom without going into another bedroom's private bathroom. I was aware of this before I got there because another reviewer mentioned it. It worked out fine because I planned for it, but it could be an issue for some. I do think the house could use a visit from the owner to get some things into shape.

Family fun

We had a nice stay at Porch Song. The pool was refreshing. The kitchen was well stocked but was missing a large frying pan, otherwise there was everything you could need to cook. The comforters could use a good washing and the carpet was well worn. The furniture was very nice in the living room and on the deck. There were plenty of games to play and books to read. It was located within 5 minutes walk to the beach. We had a wonderful time. There was no foosball table as shown on the pictures.

Great Family Vacation

We had a great family vacation at Porch Song. The house was clean. The pool was wonderful. It was only a short walk to the beach. The outdoor shower was great when coming back from the beach. There are great restaurants and shopping a short drive away. There was a full sized barbecue grill. The kitchen has all the basic supplies we needed. The bedrooms were all a good size with a TV and plenty of places to put your stuff. Lots of board games, seating and a nice size TV in the living room. The outdoor spaces were also nice with plenty of seating and tables. We also enjoyed the hot tub. Wish the linens were included. If you don’t purchase the linen package you need sheet sets with pillow cases. They provide comforters. The HVAC broke before our trip so there was no AC on the bottom floor. The realty company informed us that it could not be repaired until after our trip ended. They were kind enough to install air conditioners in 3 bedrooms prior to our trip. One was extremely loud but the ceiling fans worked well. The top floor was air conditioned.

Great Vacation Spot!

The property was perfectly located close to the beach, restaurants, activities and shopping. Beautiful spacious home! Our family enjoyed the clean pool and nice hot tub! The management company could not have been more accommodating!

The house was not clean at all.

We were a party of 10 ppl including kids and this house was perfect in size for us. Plenty of space without feeling like you were on top of each other. It was bright and nice furniture . The proximity to the beach was great. It was an easy walk no hills or busy streets which was great for kids. The house offered a beach wheel barrel which came in handy for the many things we need to take to beach. However, we were very disappointed in how dirty the house was. It felt like a cleaning service never cleaned. Their were chocolate stains on walls, popcorn left in bed, wrappers on floor, dirty bath mats and dirt on floors. And their were multiple broken blinds and a towel bar was very loose and missing remote controls. We did reach out to the management company and they offered to send a cleaning service but we declined as we had already begun to disinfect everything and clean the whole house. I was thankful that they responded as soon as they received my email and called me. They were very nice and apologetic. The items in the kitchen were worn and old and very rusty so if you were looking to cook you may wanna buy disposable cookware. The pool was great size and clean and they had Pool toys. we enjoyed it as well as the outdoor shower. Overall we had a good vacation we loved the OBX and the location of house was perfect. Would we stay again? I am not sure. The house itself was good and perfect size and all but the cleanliness is an issue and from the looks of the amount of dust we cleaned up this was not an isolated incident. I think if this house improved the cleaning this house would have been 5 stars. We do thank the management company for reaching out and trying to remedy the problem. Helpful tips: When you go to lock or unlock the door pull it towards you then enter your code otherwise the lock won’t latch. Also I would recommend wearing flip flops on the deck to avoid splinters.

Stay somewhere else

Book your vacation rental elsewhere. The reviews for this listing are inaccurate. The biggest issue we had with this property was the cleanliness level. When staying in a rental property, it’s never going to meet your own personal level of cleanliness and that is understandable. What is not acceptable is blood stained sheets/bedding, hair on what is supposed to be “clean linens”, unknown stains on bedding, spider webs and cob webs in most corners, filthy caked on dust on every ceiling fan, crumbs and ants in kitchen cabinets, stains on furniture, broken blinds, brown stains on bathroom wall ECT. It also does not help the situation when the management company is notified as well as the property owner and no one is concerned about the issues. If all you care about is staying close by to the beach, this is your place. If you care about the health of your family, stay somewhere that prioritizes cleaning the property.

Great location and quick communication

Stayed with 9 adults and 1 two year old and had a great time. Enough space for all of us. Short 5 minute walk to the beach, 10 minute drive to Publix and few minutes from few restaurants. Host was always quick to respond and communicated clearly.

Great location

The house was really nice and the location was great, very close to the beach and easy to bike to several places. A few things that could be better: -the bbq is ancient park like charcoal grill. Would have been nice to have a modern grill -great to have a pool option, but the pool is very old and really needs to be updated

OBX 2022

Overall the place was good! It could have been a little cleaner, missing a controller for a TV, condition of walls and blinds could use addressed. A biggie fir us was no gas grill only a small charcoal picnic grove style one that you see in parks. We had to rent a gas grill for over $125. Location to the beach was great and having a pool is always a bonus.

Areas for improvement at Porch Song

We had some minor property issues upon arrival (entry system would not open the door). I would also ask for a wastebasket in each bedroom, there were none except in the bathrooms. A full length mirror would e really nice on the back of bedroom doors. People do still care how they loo even on vacation. Also the outside storage room for tools, beach chairs, etc. has become a junk area full of discarded items from previous renters. We couldn't even store our things in the closet.
