Couches boasts numerous amenities and an exceptional heritage (including the magnificent 13th-century castle of Queen Marguerite of Burgundy). Nestled in the gentle countryside of the Côtes Chalonnaises, within a protected ZNIEFF area renowned for its rich flora and fauna, and in a peaceful valley combining wooded meadows, idyllic vineyards, pastures, and forests, the village enjoys a magnificent, unspoiled, and utterly tranquil setting.
