From there, the cabin is 1.8 miles away accessible ONLY by snowmobile, snowshoes, skis or securing a shuttle. If you don’t own or bring any of these, make reservations at Arrowhead Mountain Adventures (alpineplateau.com) at least 4 weeks or 48 hours before your stay. They have also been so kind to sell small quantities of flour or sugar if you forgot some.
*Internet is available at the cabin, but cell phone coverage is limited.
*Be aware that this cabin is in a remote location and the main road to get there (Alpine Plateau Road off Hwy 50) is an uphill dirt road and may become slick in the winter, especially during a snowstorm. It is plowed and maintained during the winter, but make sure you check the weather report before you come and drive appropriate vehicles for the conditions.
