And, for those who feel more comfortable knowing that people are nearby, friendly neighbors are far enough away, yet close, to feel secure..

About the Home Location

Miss Millie’s Home Away is conveniently located near year-round attractions and restaurants in the Pocono Mountains including Mount Airy Casino and Spa, Camelback Mountain, Tobyhanna State Park and Kalahari indoor Water park, all within 20 minute drive.

In addition, the Poconos offer numerous other destinations from shopping at the Crossings Premium Outlets to whitewater rafting, skiing/snow tubing and paintball, and ax-throwing fun. There’s something for everyone!

Home Interior

Guest(s) have private entrance (smart lock, coded) to the upper-level apartment of the home, which include 3 bedrooms, a living space with convenient gas fireplace, dining area, outdoor deck, and fully-equipped kitchen with complimentary snack bar and beverages.

The master bedroom contains a queen size bed with a private bathroom. The other two bedrooms include full-size beds, with access to a hallway bathroom.

On occasion, the host is available in the apartment on the lower level to assist with making your stay more comfortable if needed. Don't hesitate to call, text, or email the host -- you will not be disturbing.

Poconos winter getaway 2/14-2/16/25

Yvette was a great host. The house was perfect for 4 guests. The view around the property in the winter time is gorgeous. Will definitely recommend this house to friends/family.

enjoyed our stay, house was very clean. Yvette was very helpful but should be on the web site that she is downstairs, as we didn't find it out until after we booked, she didn't cause any problems. . also we were very disappointed in the water pressure, it was hard to take showers or do dishes. signs were there to conserve water but we had to let it run awhile till we got any pressure at all to take showers. neighborhood was nice and quiet

Dear Ms. High, Thank you for your feedback and stay at Miss Millie’s Home Away From Home. I’m sorry to hear that your experience didn’t fully meet your expectations. I’d like to kindly bring your attention to the Property Description on the VRBO listing, which clearly states that “On occasion, the host is available in the apartment on the lower level to assist with making your stay more comfortable if needed. Don’t hesitate to call, text, or email the host — you will not be disturbing.” This information is shared so guests are aware that I may be on the premises during their stay and available should any issues arise. Upon your arrival, I provided some details about the home and encouraged you to reach out if anything required attention. While I was able to assist with the keypad, I wasn’t made aware of any concerns regarding water pressure. Had I known, I would have promptly checked/corrected the issue. Being a country home, there can occasionally be small fluctuations, but we make every effort to maintain a comfortable environment for our guests. To date, we haven’t received similar feedback about water pressure from other guests, but I appreciate that you have alerted me so that I can ensure that everything is working properly. We take great pride in offering a clean, peaceful, and welcoming space where visitors can enjoy a touch of country living. I apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your feedback. Great place for a work weekend

Wonderful welcome...Yvette was one of the most warm and welcoming hosts. She had snacks and wine (of our choosing because she asked:)...and there were clean towels set on each bed. Every little touch was tended to. She even had toiletries for each bathroom. Wonderful deck for sitting outside after a long day as well. We will definitely book for next year!! Thanks Yvette!!

Nice home. Listing needs updated

The property was very nice and the location is great. The biggest issue is that we did not find out until afterwards that Ms. Yvette would be staying in the house with us. She did stay in the lower level but it was not a closed off space from the rest of the house. It was your regular lower level family room. Also we were given quiet hours from 10pm until 8am. The whole purpose of renting a home is to have the space to yourself. We were a party of six adult 3 couples all 40 plus years old. We are not loud or partying by any means but we felt like we couldn’t have a normal conversation after 10pm. We all pretty much went to bed to avoid any misunderstandings. If you don’t mind the owner/ property manager staying in home with you then this a great property as Ms. Yvette is very nice. I just don’t like feeling like I have to walk on eggshells when I’m on vacation.

We're sorry to learn that your stay did not meet your expectations. As was mentioned when you arrived, quiet time is a community policy to ensure that neighbors are not disturbed. Our quiet hours are not for the host’s convenience, and therefore, there was no need for you or guests to retire early or “walk on eggshells.” Additionally, before your arrival, we corresponded with you via VRBO messaging and informed you that the host is available on the lower level of the house (the Host’s quarters have a door with a lock). If you had a concern or felt you would be uncomfortable, you should have expressed your concerns/questions when you read our message. We did our best to offer you amenities that you would normally not receive at other rentals: complimentary snack bar, choice of coffees and tea, bottled water and a bottle of white wine (that you chose). In addition, we accepted a sixth person even though our limit is five. Despite the less than favorable review, we appreciate your feedback--we’ve learned a lot. In the future, please make certain that you express your concerns beforehand as well as carefully read and understand all provisions for renting before booking your stay.

I did not appreciate getting a text message at 4:30am about what to do when we leave. People use their phones as alarm clocks so it was next to me on lampstand and woke me up quite pre-maturely. Not necessary.

Was a wonderful experience!

Yvette was so sweet and had a lovely home! House was super clean and stocked with lovely amenities, perfect for our weekend. The location is close to a ton of things including the ski mountains, restaurants, and the casino. Would 100% stay here again!!

Great stay!

We had a great long weekend at this place and hope to be back. Although the temp was freezing, the house was very warm and the electric fireplace was perfect. Very easy to get to and communication with Yvette prior to arriving was very smooth. The space is on the top floor of a 2 story house (same entrance) and conveniently located if you are visiting Camelback Mountain and the surrounding area. Was impressed by how clean everything was - spotless. Kitchen is very well equipped to make anything you can imagine. Also, there were extras we kept discovering like snacks and toiletries that we did not expect but made the stay feel very pampering and special.
