Welcome to our modern Sebec Lake house, just 50 ft from the shoreline and an hour south of Moosehead Lake. Sleeping 6 with 2 master bedrooms, a bonus room. The property features an open kitchen, dining, and living area. Enjoy kayaking, fishing, swimming from the dock, or relaxing by the propane firepit. Heaven on Earth in Gods Country!

This is a beautiful rental in a perfect location. Lakeside and a mile from the state park one way a mile from the public beach and boat launch site in the opposite direction. Plenty to do in inclement weather as the inside provides spacious comfort and relaxation with a ton of games to play! We were blessed with memories we will always cherish. I grew up on this lake - 40 years of experience as I highly recommend this rental any time of year!

Great cabin and location

Maine Roots Cabin was perfect for us. The place was very clean, comfy bed (we only used the king room), and very well equipped. We would definitely recommend this place to others. We only had to contact our host once to find the life jackets to take out the kayaks and the response was quick and they told us right where to find them.

Awesome view!

The view is gorgeous, sunrises are breathtaking. The house is spacious, full kitchen, and the best shower pressure ever! Kitchen is fully stocked, beds are comfortable, and the outdoor area is spacious. We truly enjoyed our stay!! Seriously worth it!!

My family really enjoyed our stay at Sebec Lake! Communication with Tracey ahead of time and during the stay was excellent. In the cool mornings we had a beautiful view of the sunrise and the loons on the lake. Very little boat traffic in September. We took the kayaks out several times on the lake which was easily accessible. An eagle in a nearby tree was visible from our dock. We enjoyed several forested and scenic hikes in nearby Peaks Kenney State Park. We had everything we needed to cook up or grill some great meals and play a few games while watching the sunset. The home was very clean and thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed. Plenty of space for everyone with three bedrooms. We plan to come again next year!

Most beautiful getaway

This is the most amazing place. Cabin on the water that has a view you cannot imagine. The sunrise across the water is absolutely gorgeous. Very quiet, cabin was perfect. It had all the amenities needed for a great stay. For just a relaxing place to get away, this is the place to be.

Sebec Lake is Beautiful

This long weekend stay was perfect. The cottage was neat clean and comfortable for everyone. The cottages location on the lake provided tremendous long sunrise views over miles of the beautiful lake. I recommend it.

We have stayed on Sebec Lake many times, Maine Roots is a beautiful location with attention to every detail inside. Welcoming in every way, from easy check-in to the comfort of the beds, open layout, all the modern amenities you need, and room for everyone to enjoy different activities! What a special place! Such a peaceful space with all the perks. Clean, comfortable, spacious. Everything included is high quality- beds, sheets, towels, kitchen appliances and more. Great views of sun and moon rise. Owners very responsive. Absolutely perfect!

Peace & Healing!

My family and I enjoyed our time at Maine Roots so much. It was the perfect location, right on the water. We enjoyed each others company just sitting outside by the firepit, watching the sun rise and set. The owners have supplied everything that you could need to make a stay enjoyable. We will definitely be back and will book here again in a heartbeat!

The Absolute BEST

From the moment we arrived everything was exactly as described on VRBO and the host. The cottage was charming, cozy and impeccably maintained. The location was perfect, allowing us to easily explore the area. Close to town but tucked away for peace and quiet. The attention to detail and amenities made for a perfect vacation! We had a fabulous time, beautiful accommodations and fantastic weather!

My husband and I along with our 4 grandchildren and my sister had a fabulous time at Maine Roots. The home was beautiful and the amenities were perfect. The kids loved the loft and the outdoor firepit. We spent our time in the water, playing games and lots of conversations while toasting marshmallows. Tracey was was very accommodating, answering my texts within seconds. Thank you Tracey for everythin! Hope to be back in the future.

Beautiful lake house

This lake house is beautiful and clean. Small yard just right for cornhole games. Stone front patio was very relaxing for morning coffee and listening to the loons. We even saw an eagle land in the pine tree next door. Waterfront is without a beach area but the dock has ladder and water is deep enough off the dock for jumping. Beds were comfy and we have truly enjoyed our time. Kitchen is well equipped with everything you could need. We hopefully get to stay again next summer.

Lake House - Sebec Lake, Maine

The property was exactly as advertised. Everything from the check-in process to the communication from Tracey, to the amenities, to the check-out process. It was all seamless. It’s a perfect Lakeside get-a-way retreat. The property was very well maintained and exceptionally clean. We were in Dover for a family hunting trip and this place was perfect for us. It had a wonderful living are for us all to gather and talk about the day’s activities. We are already planning our next hunting trip for next year and will definitely be back, if the property is available! Thanks to Tracey and Company for a memorable, wonderful experience.

Slice of Heaven!

We were fortunate enough to be able to grab a few days at Maine Roots just after the 4th of July, and we could not have found a more perfect place to relax and refresh. The camp itself is beautifully and comfortably furnished, including the most comfortable king size bed and bedding that we've ever slept on. The loft area was perfect for our children to have their own space. The kitchen was amply supplied with everything we needed to enjoy home cooked meals. The outside string lights created the perfect ambiance each evening, and there was more than enough comfortable outdoor furniture for everyone to visit and enjoy the beautiful yard day and night. I can't say enough about this property. If you have a chance to stay, don't hesitate! We can't wait to go back. We tried to buy it from Tracey and Marshall, we loved it so much, but turns out they love it too and you can absolutely feel it in how welcoming and cozy the property is.

Lakeside Gem!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Maine Roots. The vacation home provides all of the comforts of home with a stunning view out the back door. Every detail was thought of! The kitchen was very well stocked with small appliances (coffee pot, keurig, air fryer), plenty of quality cookware, dinnerware, and even loads of spices. The beds and linens were super comfortable. Though we didn't need to use the upstairs, it would be amazing for families with children. The shower was large and had great water pressure (something we don't always find in lake homes). The living room was a great place to hang out in the evenings or would be perfect on a rainy day with all of the games provided. The home is perfectly set up for a large family or two smaller families. If you are looking for a quiet lake getaway, this is the place! We were able to take day trips up to Moosehead Lake to look for moose (found 2!) and down to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor to explore.

Perfect Lake Vacation

We rent a camp every year with our whole extended family. This camp was absolutely perfect, had everything we needed, the lake access was amazing, everything was beautiful. The owners were great to deal with. Very communicative, thorough and responsive. The app they give you that helps you navigate the house and the area was genius. This is one of the first times that we left and were ready to rent it again for next summer!
