The perfect mix of rustic charm and modern comfort, this airy cabin will be just the place to get away from it all! With high ceilings, a lofted sleeping area, natural wood throughout, and an open layout, there will be no lack of room for everyone to spread out and feel right at home. When you aren't hiking or exploring the surrounding area, the lower level offers a pool table to keep everyone entertained with a bit of friendly competition. Plus, the chef of the group will fall in love with the full kitchen just waiting to assist in preparing anything from a tasty snack to a gourmet meal. Plus, when the sun begins to dip behind the trees, head out to the deck and sip your favorite beverage in the warm summer breeze. Come winter, you will even be able to see the mountains as the leaves fall!

This home is located in a private community with adjoining property lines. Trespassing beyond property lines is not permitted.

Cabin was clean and welcoming. Beware though, you definitely need 4WD to climb up the driveway as it is very steep. The views were nice as the cabin was secluded, yet we were only about 10-15 minutes away from Bryson City and Cherokee. We are thinking about coming back during the summer.

Wonderful Stay

We loved the cabin with its seclusion but still easy access to the national park. We highly enjoyed this side of the park and this cabin was a big part of it.

Convenient but secluded feel

Great location and great home! Very convenient location, easy to find but secluded feel. Bring your 4x4! Lots of fun to be had with great pool table, ping pong and even an indoor basketball goal!! Grill with spare propane bottle, fire pit, lots of outdoor sitting options! Loved it! Thank you!

Cabin felt like home and was decorated beautifully. Will definitely be back again! Take caution, you absolutely need to have 4wd to safely make it up the driveway.

Great getaway

Upon arrival, my husband and I both immediately noticed how clean the cabin smelled. It is decorated so cute and very welcoming. About 15 minutes to Bryson City for an amazing breakfast at Everett Street Cafe, dinner at Boots and some shopping. Can’t say enough good about this cabin’s location and the view was just incredible. The privacy alone is worth it! Would definitely stay again.

Home away from home!

We can't say enough about this place! This is our second time staying here and it did not disappoint. The cabin is comfy and cozy. It has the cutest decorations that make it feel more like a home than a rental. There is ample space in all the rooms. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed. The privacy and seclusion is everything! We love sitting out on the deck just enjoying the sounds and we even had a little squirrel come hang out on this visit. This will be our go to escape from the mountains to the mountains for years to come!

Decent house, just not clean

There were and mice problems inside (kitchen and ping pong room) and the bed linens were not cleaned. I didn’t get any hep from Vacasa about the pest issues. It’s in a good location though. 4WD is definitely required (even in the summer). The house needs a deep clean and pest control. I wish we picked a different property because my kids are calling this “the dead mouse vacation.”

This cabin was unbelievable. My wife and I did not want to leave. Only one very small issue but believe that was handled very quickly, impressive. Wish with all other electrical kitchenware there was a toaster. Overall experience was off the charts and highly recommended

Great Cabin

Lost Indian hideaway was an amazing cabin. It was very spacious and comfortable to fit all 7 of us. There was plenty to do at the cabin if you wanted to just stay in. It’s close to get back to town. Its a great location to be near Bryson city, Cherokee, and waynesville. The only downfall with the cabin was the heat. It was in the 40s when we were there and the main floor was very cold, well the bedroom was. The living room was comfortable with a blanket on. The heater stayed on and it kept the top loft warm. Maybe there should be a space heater available for the bedroom. Overall, it was a very nice cabin and I would definitely stay here again, just maybe in a little warmer weather.

Decent cabin, just not clean

Cleanliness was our main concern unfortunately. The cabin was not clean. The linens were soiled in the master bedroom and the sheets for the futon. There were bees nests and mice inside. Specifically, we think the mice live under the fridge and came out frequently. The bathroom door was not clean and there were lots of old dead bugs in corners. Dirty dishes in the cabinets were also not exciting.Good area in a good location. You need 4WD for sure, even in the summer. Come very prepared though - we planned to use the grill and the properties 2 propane containers were empty. We also planned to play ping pong but there were bees and wasps nests next to the ping pong table. Pool was fun though! I reached out to Vacasa for help with the mice and bees and did not get assistance outside of general texts. There were and mice problems inside (kitchen and ping pong room) and the bed linens were not cleaned. I didn’t get any hep from Vacasa about the pest issues. Cozy Cabin in the Trees

The cabin is cozy and offers decent views of the mountains through the trees. While Whittier does not have any shopping or restaurants, it's only a 10 minute drive to nearby Bryson City. When we arrived, the home had not been cleaned after the last guests checked out and the back door was open without a working latch or lock. We immediately left the home and notified Vacasa. They told me that someone from their "local staff" would be in touch. At 930PM when we still had not heard back from the "local staff", we decided to try to check into the cabin again. The home had been mostly cleaned, although we found long black hairs in the sheets of the beds upstairs. The latch and lock were still broken. For the entirety of our stay, we kept a heavy wooden rocking chair in front of the back door to keep it latched and offer some sort of protection. After reaching out to Vacasa 5x, they finally agreed to offer a refund for the cleaning fee. The home was cozy and beautiful! The management company, Vacasa, is one I will try to avoid for future bookings.

Perfect for family of 5!

This is a beautiful cabin! It was a perfect space for our family of 5 and close to Smoky Mountain National Park. We very much enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Very clean, comfortable beds and furniture, cutely decorated! Highly recommend!

Good for the Money

This property is good for the money. You can’t blame the Owners for what Vacasa failed them. When we arrived-the top floor main bed was not made. We had to find the linens on the dryer. There was a lot of debris and cigarette butts on the property-as well as a rotten rug on the downstairs landing. The coffee pot promised was cracked and the cabin needed a touch up clean-which Vacasa should have handled. However-besides that-the cabin was quaint- comfortable and close to everything! Be sure and bring your own plastic utensils and cleaning products. Otherwise a great property!
