Located on the second floor of a quiet residence on a leafy street, The Flaubert features a fully equipped kitchen opening onto a comfortable living room. You will also enjoy a bedroom, a modern shower room, and a private parking space in the secure residence, included at no extra cost.

The living room offers a comfortable sofa and a TV. In the kitchen, you’ll find everything you need along with essential appliances to prepare delicious meals: extractor hood, hob, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, oven, fridge/freezer, etc. You can enjoy your meals at the kitchen bar. The modern shower room includes a washing machine, and the bedroom provides a double bed for restful nights.

The accommodation is managed by Home Rouen, available 7 days a week from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. We kindly ask you to take care of the apartment, respect the property, and be mindful of the neighborhood.

A security deposit will be required via a secure link in order to finalize your booking and obtain the access codes to the apartment. Would you like to enjoy your stay a little longer? An additional fee of €10 applies for early check-in or late check-out, subject to availability and prior approval from our team.

## Neighborhood

The Préfecture District in Rouen

Located in the very heart of the city, the Préfecture district is both lively and full of history. It takes its name from the Seine-Maritime Prefecture, an emblematic building that highlights the area’s administrative importance.

Blending historic charm and modern architecture, the district reflects Rouen’s evolution through the centuries. Its proximity to the Seine also adds to its appeal, offering lovely walks along the riverbanks.

In addition to administrative and judicial institutions, the district is bustling with shops, restaurants, cafés, and art galleries, making it a vibrant place to live and explore. Busy during the day, it becomes calmer in the evening while still keeping a friendly atmosphere thanks to its welcoming establishments.

Easily accessible, the area is well connected by public transport and just a short walk away from Rouen’s must-see landmarks.

## Transit

Le Flaubert has a free secure car park in the residence. In Rouen, rue Gustave Flaubert is served by several means of transport, including:

1. Buses
Route F1: This frequent service runs through several districts of Rouen and stops near rue Gustave Flaubert.
T2 line: Another bus line that can bring you closer to this street, depending on your point of departure.
You can check timetables and stops on the Transdev Normandie Rouen website, the website of Rouen's public transport operator.

2. TEOR (Transport Est-Ouest Rouennais)
TEOR T1, T2 and T3: TEOR lines are high-frequency bus services with dedicated lanes to avoid the dense traffic in the city centre.
The TEOR passes at the end of the street.

3. Cycling and the Véloroute
Rouen has cycle lanes and bike hire services such as Cy'clic, which offers self-service bike hire.
The Véloroute de la Seine is also a good option for those who prefer to get around by bike. Although this route does not pass directly through the rue Gustave Flaubert, it is linked to many of Rouen's streets and districts.

4. Walking
Depending on your point of departure, Rouen is a pleasant city to get around on foot, with many pedestrianised streets and places within easy reach.

5. Taxis and VTCs
Taxi and VTC services (Uber, Bolt, etc.) are available in Rouen for fast, flexible travel.

Rouen train station is less than 10 minutes' walk from the accommodation.

## Notes

Please note that the building has no elevator and the apartment is located on the 2nd floor. Access may therefore be difficult for guests with reduced mobility or those carrying heavy luggage.

Check-in is self-service from 4:00 pm for greater flexibility, and check-out must be completed by 11:00 am at the latest.

The accommodation is managed by Home Rouen, available 7 days a week from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.
We provide:

bed linen, towels (one large towel per person), kitchen towels, and bath mats,

basic essentials for the first day (shampoo, shower gel, hand soap, toilet paper…),

a welcome kit (trash bags, sponge, dishwashing liquid).

take good care of the apartment and leave it clean upon departure, respect the neighborhood and equipment guidelines, parties are strictly forbidden (€250 withheld from the deposit), smoking is not allowed (€50 withheld), pets are not permitted (unless agreed upon in advance, otherwise €50 withheld), any loss, theft, or damage will be charged at the actual replacement cost.
