Awesome Long Weekend Get-Together

Had a mini vacation / get-together with friends and family to relax and play games. The property was great, with beautiful open spaces and big tables. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The owners were helpful, welcoming, and accommodating. And you can’t beat that stunning view of the lake. Our group is already planning for next year!

Scenic location on the lake

Nicely furnished spacious home with well stocked kitchen. Enjoyed having meals on the patio overlooking the lake. Nice access via the canal to the pond. We look forward to returning.

Family weekend

We had a great weekend catching up as a family in this unique and spacious waterfront home. The property managers were extremely responsive to our questions and gave us clear instructions on how to make the most of our stay. We would definitely consider visiting again!

Wow! The property was better than expected!! It has a rich history and the owners have left some of the original building to add to its uniqueness. Our family stayed here for a wedding - we were able to have both sets of grandparents and their grandchildren in the same place so that added to its distinctiveness! Each sunrise was breathtaking and the openness added to its charm. Three full bathrooms were perfect for the size of this VRBO. Caretakers responded immediately making us feel safe and cared for. Thank you for helping us make memories!!

Amazing View and Location

I had a fantastic stay at this house! The view is absolutely stunning, and the location is perfect—you can quickly get to the pier, enjoy Abbott's custard ice cream, or dine at a variety of great restaurants. The creek access was a real bonus; we had a wonderful time swimming with our dog and guests. The assistance provided was also top-notch. The house also had some wonderful and unique history. I highly recommend this place!

Family reunion

This is a beautiful property, right on the lake. Both sunrise and sunset were gorgeous! It was quiet and peaceful. The hosts were responsive both before and during the stay. The level 2 EV charger was a nice bonus.

This property was amazing! We live five minutes away, but were expecting extended family from out of State for a family event. We wanted everyone (about 12, plus us) to be able to stay together in comfort, so began to seek local properties. We couldn't have been happier with the property- everyone was super comfortable, super impressed and had a terrific visit!!We shopped for all kinds of extras, thinking the property would never be stocked with enough paper products, etc.....we didn't need a single thing! This home was stocked and ready for guests! Our hosts were immediately responsive throughout the weekend- super kind and thoughtful regarding any inquiry. My husband and I have already discussed how, with an ever expanding family, this property could be a "go to" to offer hosting everyone right here in Rochester. The lakefront also offers an absolutely gorgeous setting!

Home on Lake Ontario

Nice spacious home with large patio on beautiful Lake Ontario.This property has access to canal that leads to Long Pond. Well stocked with kitchen items. Lower level stays cool with air conditioning and, as others mentioned, upstairs tends to be warmer. Quiet neighborhood especially on weekdays. We enjoyed our stay!

nice but…

it is a really cool property and a great location on the lake. if you ignore the cobwebs, the spiders and the occasional loose pill and unclean sheets it’s an ideal spot for a family reunion. If they invested in a better cleaner it would be an immediate recommendation to anyone who listened. now it’s still a recommendation but with the caveat that you will deal with cobwebs and should check that the sheets are clean before using them but overall it has a nice vibe.

Girls Trip

Every year our group of girlfriends looks for a close weekend getaway on the lake . This is our third year doing this and this house was by far our favorite. Excellent communication with property owner who was extremely helpful and accommodating. House was fully equipped anything we needed right down to board games . Beautiful location, very clean, plenty of space for everyone. Quiet neighborhood and the Deck was amazing ! We are already looking to return again next summer . This is a fantastic property that is well maintained and has a great host. I highly recommend staying here.

What we liked: the property manager was very responsive and tried their best. The kitchen was perfect, the view amazing (through windows were covered in bugs) and the electric charger helpful.Re: VRBO post. The house is big. The pics are deceiving. The “beach” access is on the neighbors property, the steps to the water were not out and the outside sanitation had not been done so you could not use the patio overlooking the water, too many spiders. The m bed would collapse when you sat on it and the first floor couch was torn. The worst part for my dad and young adult daughter/niece is that the single beds were for kids.If the owners will invest in the property it would be amazing, but at 850/night, it was not worth it.

Great family time away!

The house was perfect for our family. Plenty of space for our family of 5. It was fantastic just walking down the steps off the deck into the water. We brought a paddleboard and rafts in addition to the kayaks on property and had a blast spending time in the lake. While adults can stand for some distance in the lake, I definitely recommend life vests for kids (the water is a few feet deep when you enter) and adults who are going to venture away from the house. The kitchen is pretty well stocked and there is plenty of space for cooking up a storm. The area is very residential and there are 9pm quiet hours and it is quiet and peaceful after 9. We met many neighbors while walking our dog and everyone was welcoming and friendly. The owners were very responsive to questions and super helpful getting something back to us when we accidentally left it behind. Our week at this property was full of quality family time and very relaxing. I would stay here again.

Excellent property- highly recommended

Hosts were very friendly and provided timely communication about the property. Location is excellent, right on the water- which is not rocky at all, shallow water and sand on the bottom makes for great relaxing in the lake. The house is VERY well equipped with plates, glasses, kitchen-ware, etc, which makes cooking for a group a breeze. Would absolutely rent again

Fantastic Lake Front / Great Hosts

Excellent location right on the lake, easy access to the water. Beds were extremely comfortable. Our group had people from age 12 to 90, plus dogs, and it was extremely easy to accommodate everyone in this house. Fully fenced yard meant we could relax outside with the dogs each day. Lots of fun nooks and crannies in the house - which was an old church - for the kids to explore. Very clean, updated baths and kitchen. Well stocked with everything you could need. Nice safe neighborhood that is easily walkable and close to food / convenience stores if you need to run out. Hosts were exceptionally responsive and accommodating, and and check out and check in were VERY easy. As mentioned in the last review, upstairs is hotter than down, but it wasn't problematic...the house stayed cool. There are flies on the lake, so be prepared, and we also brought our own floaties (including a floating island) which was fun. Really great location , fantastic hosts- don't hesitate to book.

Great waterfront spot

Overall trip was good. The host was extremely responsive to my questions leading up to the stay and upon arrival. Great indoor accommodations and plenty of space. While the outdoor space offered great seating and a beautiful view, there was a decent amount of cottonwood everywhere, spiders, and the bugs at night made it difficult to sit outside past sunset. The host noted this should be expected given the lake proximity. The daytime offered plenty of sun and access to shallow water where you can float or just cool off. Highly recommend bringing some sort of floatation to really enjoy that element! The upstairs is a bit warmer so would encourage bringing a fan if traveling here in warm months.
