Once you've picked up your luggage, call the concierge to let her know you're on your way.
At the exit of the Airport take the direction BASSE TERRE DESHAIES . You arrive on the Rocade (RN 11). Leave the Rocade by a ramp and take the RN 1 which connects Pointe à Pitre to Basse Terre. You are still on the direction towards Basse Terre.
You cross an industrial zone, you will see on your right a huge shopping center. You continue straight on the 4 lanes.
At the TOTAL station turn right and you will soon get out !
You exit Direction Pointe Noire - Route de la Traversée. You are on a large traffic circle. Take the RD 23 direction POINTE NOIRE. You are on the right road, be careful with the speed limit, there are many passages limited to 70 km/h and there are radars.
At the traffic circle at the top of the hill you take the 2nd exit direction Pointe Noire. RD 23
You are now on " La route des mamelles ou Route de la Traversée ". If you arrive in broad daylight, enjoy the nature, the bamboos, the tree ferns.
Pass the top of the pass, you go down towards the region called "côte sous le vent". At the foot of the pass, you arrive at a T-junction. Take the direction BOUILLANTE on the left. You are on the RN 2.

You will pass in front of the Malendure beach, then on the right a Carrefour Market, on the left a Leader Price and an Ecomax. A bend to the left then a bend to the right, you go along the sea. You are almost there, at the end of the straight line after a small bridge on the left there is a small post office. You have to turn left, the sign POIRIER exists but not very legible.
You go up this rather steep road for 500m. You pass, Le clos de Rivière Bourrique, then on the right you will see a block of mailboxes and a painted panel: RESIDENCE DU SOLEIL COUCHANT. You take this road that goes up and down, almost at the end on the left there is a concrete path that goes up with a sign "Les Cabanes perchées".
You go up, at the top the bungalows are on the right, park on the cob because you have to be able to put the 3 cars, for the villa and the swimming pool it's on the left.
You have arrived!

-Plan to rent a car, which is essential for getting to your accommodation and exploring the region.
-The Traversée road is beautiful but poorly lit at night: try to arrive during daylight hours if possible.
