The Woods - Chic and Cozy Home in The Woods Golf and Spa Resort

Located just two hours from Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD, this 3 br-2.5 ba home is nestled in the Appalachian Mountains of West Virginia. The Deer Haven home is located on the 17th Hole of the Woods Golf Course Resort and has a beautiful view of trees and the expansive golf course. All the resort amenities: indoor pool, racquetball court, fitness center, and more are a short drive away. Several hiking trails and lakes for fishing are all close by. Relax by the wood burning fireplace or in the sun room with a cup of coffee or hot cocoa. Or sit on the large deck to enjoy watching local wildlife ( birds, deer, etc) and golfers. Watch your favorite movies and shows in the movie room with automatic recliners. Enjoy board games and a foosball table in the loft. This property offers it all!

The home will be decorated for the Holidays until 1/3/21

Another lovely stay

This is our second time staying at this house and we had a wonderful time. House is clean and comfy and feels like home away from home. The area is great for a relaxing weekend and everyone in the area was very friendly.

Excellent Accomodations

This was a great place to stay. It is very clean and well kept. The owners have excellent communication and are prompt to reply to any questions. I would definitely suggest this VRBO to anyone visiting the area.

What an incredible home!

This is the most beautiful home I've ever rented for a weekend away! Gorgeous decor, extremely clean, and the location was also great! I couldn't recommend it enough.

Great stay!

House was just as described. Very comfortable for my family. We loved the theatre room and ate dinner every night on the screened porch. We don’t golf but did enjoy the community pool and got dinner 1 night at the clubhouse.

A Must Stay

The house was more than we expected! It had everything you could want, it was beyond clean and furnished amazing. I would recommend this property for any person or family and especially if you have a pet! We wish we could have stayed longer and spent more time using all the amenities!!

Home away from home

This house was fantastic, we stayed for a girls weekend and couldn’t have been happier. The house felt like a home not just a rental property. It’s beautifully decorated and had everything you could need. The beds were comfortable! Property owners had great communication. I highly recommend this property, I would stay again next time I am in the area.

Wonderful Getaway

My husbands family is from West Virginia and we wanted to spend mother’s day with both of our Mothers. The house was perfect! It’s a beautiful home that was thoughtfully decorated. Every room was comfortable and spotless and it just offered so much! The hosts were responsive and lovely and we will definitely look to come back again. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Perfect home for family gathering

We met up with our two sons and their partners for a relaxing weekend. The house was very nice-comfy beds and furniture, clean, great artwork and lots of fun games. We spent a couple of hours watching a movie in the home theater, which was a unique treat. The weather was uncooperative for getting out and about but that made the home even more cozy and welcoming. Because of bad weather I was in touch with the owner several times about a later departure and she was very accommodating. You will not regret staying at this gem!

A gorgeous property, wonderful hosts, well-appointed

From the moment i made the resrvation through the time we checked out, the experience far exceeded my high expectations. The home looks like a showcase home, but with every home like touch anyone could ever want to need. It was chic and homey at the same time. The onwers thought of EVERYTHING we could possibly need. The theater was so much fun, the beds were comfortable and the bedroom spacious. The kitchen was well-stocked ( thanks for the cofffee!) The entire home was cleaner than my own home! i could go on and on raving, but i will just say i will be back.

Refreshingly Detailed

This was such a stylishly decorated, comfortable and relaxing home for my husband, dog and I to get away too. The owners have thought of everything! My husband fell in love w the media room, while I loved watching golfers and reading and relaxing on the porch. This is one of the best vrbo’s we have rented and we have rented a lot! We had brought our own portable grill to use, because most vrbo’s grills are in pretty poor shape. This one was in great shape! Thank you owners for sharing your property, bringing in all the beautiful details and allowing us to bring our beloved dog. It made for a delightful visit and we are so grateful!

Clean and accommodating stay

Myself and a few friends stayed here for an extended weekend and had a great time. The entire house was clean and updated. The movie / gaming room was like a bonus. My friends and I used the elevated deck around back to sit and hangout at night while projecting football onto the side of the house. We had my dog with us and he loved all the open area as well and watching the golfers from the big windows in the living room. We were able to cook dinners each night with all the supplied pots and pans. Host was extremely helpful with instructions for getting in and out of the house and even with what light switches control what (there were a lot of switches and remotes!). Perfect for those who like being in nature but don’t want to be deep in the woods.

Beautiful house!

We loved our stay at the house! The house is beautifully decorated, was very clean, beds and furniture were super comfy.. great for snuggling in by the fireplace! They had everything there you could possibly need. Linens, towels, toiletries, dishes, cleaning products, etc which was very convenient. Anita was very responsive as well. Lots of games to play and the movie room was great! The only complaint I would say is the yard needed to be raked.. there were branches and pine needles everywhere.. making it hard to walk around the property with our two little dogs. Otherwise, we really loved it there and would definitely go again or recommend to others. Thank you Anita!

Perfect cottage in The Woods!

We didn't even get into the main part of the home before we fell in love with the house!! It was myself, my husband, two sons and a girlfriend. All of us were incredibly comfortable with the space. The upstairs loft serves as the third bedroom which makes it a little loud but didn't seem to bother my son. The house had everything we needed and more!! The kitchen was so well equipped that we decided to have our extended family join us vs. going to my in-laws in the same n'hood. I wish it was warmer so we could have enjoyed the screened in porch -- but, that just another excuse for coming back again! We were able to see deer and enjoy the surroundings through the many windows throughout the house!! Moving forward whenever we visit the in-laws we will hopefully be able to stay here!!! Thank you for making our first VRBO experience such a positive one!

Great House!

We all really enjoyed our stay in this lovely, very comfortable home. It was very clean, and well appointed. The movie room was the best treat - we loved it! There were very thoughtful amenities - a tea caddy, fresh flowers, even a special dog towel for our pets - and all the practical items we needed. A great place!

We loved this house!

This house is so great! So well equipped, clean, and welcoming! Stayed here for a long weekend with friends and will definitely be back. Theater room is such a cool touch, we loved watching football and movies in there!
