Peace, Serenity, and Solitude - You have located that extraordinary piece of Montana - your very own Montana Amish log cabin home on 21+ private acres.

NOTE: The Montana Cabin now has Air Conditioning for your comfort during the warmer summer season! Refund Policy - VRBO doe not have a refund policy that aligns with ours. The listing will show FIRM no refund. There is a $300 non-refundable fee to reserve and hold your week. On or before 45 days prior to arrival/check-in FINAL payment for your stay is due. Once paid, your FINAL payment is non-refundable - with the exception, we will open your week and attempt to fill your previously reserved week - if successful, and your week is re-rented - we will gladly refund your payment. Any questions, please contact us directly.

Enjoy the stunning lake, valley, and surrounding mountain views and sunsets from the comfort of your deck.

Also, there's a covered gazebo and hot tub, for rest after a day spent exploring the surrounding area. Over 87 percent of the surrounding land is state and national forest area just waiting for you to enjoy.

The Montana Cabin has been pleasing guests for years and continues to do so, from all over the world. A large cabin/vacation home with over 880 square feet to relax and enjoy Big Sky Country.

Awesome location

This is the second time we have stayed at The Montana Cabin, the cabin has everything we need and the location is awesome, we love the hot tub overlooking Lake Koocanusa.

The Montana Cabin

The view from cabin is awesome, we love the large deck and hot tube. This was our 3rd time staying at the cabin and we always have a great time.

Beautiful Serene Relaxing Perfection

Loved our stay at this cabin! Everything is well maintained and clean. The location is perfect...secluded yet close to many things to do.

Montana Cabin Magic

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful Montana cabin! The property is cozy, clean, and well-stocked with everything we needed. The peaceful surroundings, with stunning views and easy access to nature, made it a perfect escape. The host was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and made sure we felt right at home. Highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking to relax and enjoy .

Montana Cabin

No words can describe this other than Heaven. The views were just phenomenal and very nicely maintained. We really enjoyed our first vacation here. Hopefully, we will be back again.

We absolutely loved this place. The view is amazing! Smoky this year but still great fun. The only concern for us is you really can’t bring a boat up to the cabin but if you’re not concerned with that we 100% recommend this one!!

Thank you so much for your fantastic review - greatly appreciated. For future guests - there's room at the cabin parking area for smaller boats. For larger boats, we do provide pull-through parking at our barn area. Both provide easy access to your boat launch at the Rexford Bench State Park boat launch minutes from the cabin or barn parking area. Thanks again for staying at The Montana Cabin - We loved having you all stay with us.

A true wilderness escape!

This was such a lovely cabin located in a very serene setting. The view was spectacular. The hosts were amazing. They provided plenty of great suggestions to fully enjoy our time in Montana. Even with the unusual heat dome that visited with us, the stay was amazing. Keith and Dona suggested a lovely mini-hike escape to a natural air conditioner in the wilderness! We definitely must return!

Beautiful Views

A great time to reconnect with family enjoying the views and everything nature has to provide. The cabin was perfect for our family, we enjoyed watching the deer, wild turkeys, and salmon run at the Tobacco River. Highly recommended.

A perfect cabin with amazing views!

We just returned home from a week at the Montana Cabin and we all had an absolutely fabulous time. It didn’t take long to fall in love with the area. The cabin was the perfect size for my husband and I and our two teenage boys. The location was optimal- we had our choice of activities in many different directions. A week was not enough time and look forward to coming back to explore some more the area has to offer.

The property was amazing and just what we wanted. Nice & secluded.

Keith was great to rent from, provided great information on local events & advise on things to do close by. The cabin was amazing & we spent most of our time enjoying the view from the deck. We will definitely be back.

The only bad part about it was leaving

This place is exactly what is described and more... the owner gave us so many recommendations on places to go we got to see things we didn’t even know were in Montana. We’ve been to many cabins through the years in many places across the country but this one was our favorite by far.

The views are unbeatable!

Montana was the perfect spot for our family vacation! We had such a great time at this quaint little Amish built cabin for our family vacation with our two kids. We spent most of our days on the deck or in the hot tub, enjoying the spectacular views. The owners live next door and were very courteous, kind, and helpful - always greeting us when they passed by. We brought our boat and utilized the marina near by, so we could explore/enjoy Lake Koocanusa every day. We only had one small issue with the cleanliness of the cabin, it was not completely clean upon arrival - we had to wipe down all of the tables/counters/fridge, and sweep under the table. (Everything was very dusty/food crumbs.)

Hello Kim and Family - Dona and I are so glad you had a great time in our little corner of the world! Apologies about the cleanliness - it is something we take a LOT of pride in and have not had ANY issues over 21 years. With that said, we take full responsibility and learned a valuable lesson from your note. Our typical turn-over day is Saturday, with guests arriving within hours of a full cabin and spa cleaning. In your case, you arrived at your cabin after 8 pm (32 hours after the initial cabin cleaning) on Sunday (and we had left the windows at the cabin open). This year has been windy and dusty and (here's the learning) from now on when we have guests arriving the following day we'll make sure the windows aren't left open for any length of time, and we'll do a quick review of the cabin to ensure it is spotless and ready for guest arrival. Thank you again for a great review, and we hope to see you again in our little corner of the world.

Perfect honeymoon spot!!

The cabin was adorable! The view was incredible! The hospitality was wonderful! We felt like the only two on the planet, but if we wanted to mingle in society, town was only 5 minutes away! Made many memories... Can't wait to go back!

Charming and cozy. Spectacular view. So very comfortable.

We couldn't be more pleased with the Montana Cabin. Peace, quiet, views, comfort and a pellet grill! We are repeat visitors and plan to return yet again. Our hosts, Keith and Dona are lovely folks and very accommodating. Were sad to leave.....

Great cabin with spectacular views!

We loved staying at The Montana Cabin. The view from the deck is amazing! We really enjoyed sitting in the comfortable deck chairs, drinking coffee and relaxing. The cabin offered plenty of space for the four of us. It was very clean, comfortable and beautiful. We cooked / grilled a lot during our stay. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and we loved the wood pellet grill (we're going to buy one for our house). Keith and Dona were very friendly. We enjoyed meeting them. We plan to return as soon as we get the chance. We've already recommended this place to several of our friends and family members. Toney
