Waterfront Family Lake House with Gameroom

Waterfront lake house on a deep water canal located on a branch of Lake Livingston. Watch the sun rise over the lake, hang out in the gameroom, fish from the dock, kayak, float in our peaceful canal, or bring your boat and tie off at our dock in this family friendly place.

Enjoy meals in the large dining room in an indoor atrium with a fiberglass top. Relax by the fire pit, kayak in the canal, play cornhole, compete at family friendly arcade games, play foosball, air hockey, skee-ball, or board games.

Fish or swim from our dock. The community boat launch is one block away. Froggy Winery is nearby, as is Huntsville State Park and the prison museum. There are restaurants within 5 miles of the house - Daisy’s Diner (great home style food!), Frank’s Cafe & Taco Station (great tacos!), and Tallent Sausage (great BBQ and also has a meat market and grocery section).

We enjoyed our stay here! The grandkids enjoyed the game room and there was lots of space for them to enjoy. The weather was great, and we brought our boat and enjoyed some time on the water. We were able to leave our boat in the water and tie up to the dock and we fished (and caught) from the dock. There is a nice grocery store up the road in Trinity. FYI - we cook a lot but there were not any spices in the kitchen.

Family fun

My family and I spent the weekend here and had lots of fun. Love the big dining room table and the whole concept of the middle room of the home!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was large and comfortable. My only negative is the yard / grass was not mowed.

Hi Lisa. I’m glad your group enjoyed your stay at Lazy Villa. I’m confused by your comment about the yard because it was mowed two days before you arrived, however, the grass does grow quickly there during the summer months and sometimes it is difficult to work around guests to mow twice per week.

Excellent property. Great location

This is an excellent property for a weekend get away or to gather with friends. The house is nice and well kept, the amenities are plentiful, and there are a lot of things to stay busy and have a good time. The owner is very helpful and responded very quickly to all question we had. Would definitely recommend this property and will more than likely be booking this property in the future.

Wonderful and Happy Lake Time

My family and I had a blast staying at this lake house. The host was responsive and helpful from beginning to end. The beds were VERY comfortable (I asked the host Mindy where she got them because my daughters liked them so much), and the yard was a blast for our children. I'd absolutely stay here again!

Awesome Stay

My family loved everything about our stay. From the house layout, the game room was a nice touch not only for my grand kids but also older folks that grew up playing pac-man, asteroids, dig dug, galaga, etc. And also great communication from Mindy. We will definitely be back!

Outstanding location, real sweet place to stay!

We were so pleasantly surprised by our rental. The place was so nice and large. Dining area was great for our group. We did not make any food because my brother has a place one canal over and cooked for use daily but we had coffee every morning as a family and visited at the large table. Also sat on the bench outside in the am to enjoy the view. This is a great place. Very clean and welcoming. We would recommend it.

We spend great time at this place!

We really enjoyed our stay at this location because it is a quiet and peaceful place. A clean house with a big yard, where kids can play. We liked especially the dinner room with a glass roof. Also they have plenty of dishes, games and outdoor activities. We caught some fish and cooked it at their charcoal grill. The only thing we couldn't enjoy it was that we couldn't stay at the fire p

Relaxing break

We had a great time at this property! House is spacious and full of natural light. House was clean and well organized. The beds were comfortable for a good night’s sleep! We loved that light switches were all labeled… so helpful! We played games in the covered atrium dining area, fished, relaxed on the dock, and enjoy s’mores around the fire pit. We will be back!!

Perfect Getaway

We were looking to get away and disconnect from everything and spend some quality family time together and make some great memories. Our stay at this property meet all our expectations. With the house being right on the lake we were able to choose between swimming in the lake, riding the kayaks and fishing not to mention all the amenities inside to keep all the kids busy and having fun made it a memorable experience. Mindy went above and beyond to ensure that we were comfortable and had everything set up to where all we had to worry about was relaxing and having fun. Definitely a hidden gem and well worth it.

Wonderful place to celebrate Christmas

We had a wonderful experience staying at this lovely lake house. The house worked great for my husband and our adult kids. The atrium area was just perfect for not only eating but for playing games. The game room was alot of fun. The weather was raining and storms so we did not get to use the outside area. But hope to return in late spring and get to fish and use the fire pit. The morning we were leaving we had 9 deer in the backyard. Mindy was the perfect host. Responded promptly to all my questions. We had a wonderful visit.

Fun Girl’s Birthday Weekend!

Mindy was so wonderful and accommodating - great communication! Plenty of room for the 5 of us. Lots to do - kayak, play corn hole, relax in the shade or sun in the huge backyard. We also brought our paddle board. Walked around the neighborhood, games in the game room. So much fun! You can do as much or as little as you want. Beds were comfy! Kitchen had all the essentials including a coffee bar. Would visit again with the family or another girl’s trip!

Perfect Spring Break Retreat

My wife and I spend part of spring break each year with our local son, his wife, and his 3 children (4, 6, 8). This property provided an excellent place to stay for us. For the adults, it was quiet and remote. For the grandkids, they fished, played in the yard, and enjoyed the gameroom. Mindy was an excellent hostess and provided answers to our questions in a matter of minutes. Oh, the availability of kayaks was a bonus. With our two that we took with us, we were all able to get out on the water Saturday afternoon. Fun! We highly recommend this property.

Lives up to the name

This place lives up to the name "Lazy Villa" This was exactly the place my friends and I needed for our vacation! I just graduated with my BA and just wanted to rest. The backyard has immediate access the river for swimming and water activities. I spent most of the week sitting on the dock with a beer and a book. Besides the dock, my favorite part of the house was the atrium in the middle of the house. My friends and i had meals and game nights at the huge table. It rained part of the week we were there, so we sat in the atrium and just listened to the rain. Very peaceful! Movie nights were super comfy in the living room and we were easily able to cook full meals in the kitchen. Everything was perfect.

Fun for the whole family!

My husband and I stayed over the 4th of July week with our twin toddlers and my mom. We had a wonderful time! Mindy is the most communicative and gracious host we’ve ever had. The house was the perfect lake house to accommodate families — large bedrooms with comfortable mattresses (that I will definitely miss!) and the large atrium for dining that can fit a big group. We easily fit 2 pack n plays in one of the guest rooms. We loved having access to the lake for fishing and kayaking and caught a few catfish off the dock. There are plenty of chairs for outdoor seating and a nice fire pit that we cooked s’mores over on the 4th of July. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. We went for walks every morning and in the evening when it was the coolest and saw turtles and egrets everywhere. There are more golf carts than cars there, so you don’t have to worry about a lot of traffic. If you get a chance to call in an order to Frank’s Tacos - do it. The fried avocados are a must. We ordered a few different meals from there that we picked up and ate back at the house since it’s so close by. I could go on and on. If you’re thinking about booking, just do it! You won’t regret it. We really enjoyed our stay! Thank you, Mindy! :)

Great Lake Retreat

Our family had a great time at this rental. It had a lot of space for our family to spread out. There were plenty of things to do right there with the kayaks, game room, board games, and corn hole. The home was very clean and the owners were very accessible.

The wide, peaceful canal makes this waterfront house a wonderful place to get away from busy city life in the greater Houston area. The variety of birds that frequent the yard and dock add to the peaceful atmosphere.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The waterfront on a wide, peaceful canal is a great place to kayak and swim, but the canal is deep enough (about 10 feet in the middle and 5-6 feet deep at our dock) for a boat to tie off. The boat ramp is on the next street (you have to have a code to use it!) and there is easy access to Lake Livingston and the Trinity River. With restaurants 5 minutes away and Huntsville a short 25 minute drive, it is a great location.
