Lake Harmony Beautiful Townhome with Ski Slope Views, privacy-clean and cozy!

Welcome to our home located in a peaceful and beautiful community that offers year round fun and activities. Our friends and family enjoy staying in the Poconos for the outdoor activities such as biking and hiking, music, food and friendship at local establishments, staying in and playing games, and sleeping in our comfy beds!

Our townhome is light filled, quiet, clean, and open, with new kitchen appliances and flooring, comfortable beds and bedding, super clean! Our loft has an additional seating /sleeping area with a reading lamp. Deck and family room windows provide private and gorgeous views of fall trees, Boulder lake, and ski slope. Comfy desk and chair for work from home options. Fireplace and cable TV, games, hot cocoa and a snowman kit make a winter weekend fun. Ski slopes include Big Boulder-we have a mountain view, and Jack Frost-15 minute drive. Pool and beach access make summers fun, with boating and swimming and games including tennis, pickle ball and playgrounds add to the warmer weather fun.

Lake Harmony restaurants and shopping are close by. We have parking in front of our home. tennis courts, and a picnic area in our development. We are less than 1 mile to the beach and boat access. Beach club passes are provided in season. A heated pool is available for your summer fun as well as boats for rent. Truly a year round pleasure for couples, families, and great friends to make wonderful memories!

You will want to look into the many local events, Jim Thorpe day tripping, train rides, white water rafting, exceptional golf courses, outlet shopping, and water parks. For the wine lover, there are many lovely vineyards and driving tours are available.

All ages, year round, and close by-we hope you will enjoy our home and a Pocono getaway!

This was the perfect spot for a cozy winter getaway with the family. Beautiful view of the Boulder Mountain and a stones throw away from the lifts. The home was clean and the host Lois was super accommodating and responsive. Nice full kitchen, fire place and working WiFi. Beds were super comfortable and also the couch. We look forward to our next stay!!! Thank you.

Cozy home nestled in the mountains, all the accommodations you need, beautiful mountain view in a community with multiple good restaurants, close to Jim Thorpe. Lois and Steve host a wonderful home.

Well stocked kitchen; comfortable beds; plenty of towels. Nicely decorated. We enjoyed the activities at the Boulder Lake Club.Only minus was the slanted gravel walkway to front door.

We had a wonderful stay at this townhouse. It was clean, well furnished and decorated. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes, glasses, silverware, nice knives & enough cookware for making meals. It had a roomy deck out back with furniture/cushions and it was very peaceful. It was only a few minutes drive to the Boulder Lake Club which was really nice (too far & dangerous to walk with the roads but that was okay). Also, for the winter & those skiing, Big Boulder/Jack Frost Mountain is right there! I communicated with the owner, Lois, a few times prior to our stay and once when we arrived. She was quick to respond to our questions. I would highly recommend this townhouse for your stay in the Poconos!!

Great location, comfortable accommodations!

We spent a weekend here so the family could pack in a bunch of snowboarding at JFBB and we were so pleased with our stay! The house was super clean, the kitchen was well-stocked, and the proximity to the mountains is unbeatable. Parking was convenient and we were super comfortable when relaxing around the house. The Chappells are incredibly gracious hosts, and we will for sure be back!

Great House!

We stayed here because it was right next to Big Boulder! There was 7 of us. Fully equipped house! Sheets and towels were provided! I would recommend this house! And the host answered my questions straight away!

Beautiful Property

This townhome is immaculate; everything worked as promised. Kitchen is lovely and well-stocked. The dining and living room is beautiful and cozy, and we totally enjoyed the fireplace each evening. The bedroom layout was perfect for our family, with a first floor master bedroom and bath and a second floor area that gave our son and his family plenty of privacy.

Girls weekend for wineries

Great place. Would stay here again. One suggestions. There were no sheets for the pull out sofa or sofa. Could use more towels wash cloths or hand towels. And pillows Sofa bed needed to be moved To use it due to small space. We would stay here again

Mostly good

Leading up to and throughout the stay the host was very responsive, but there was a bit of confusion in what was being said that led to some frustration on our end. The listing stated that paper towels and toilet paper were included, which normally means (through other stays with other hosts) that we don’t need to bring or purchase paper towels or toilet paper. Upon arrival and after a lot of back and forth it was communicated that they only provide enough to get you started, but what was supposed to be included from a toilet paper perspective was not there for us. The host said they checked in with the cleaners, the cleaners stated they left it, so there was no room for the potential that the cleaners made a mistake. While not a big deal we would have just brought paper products instead of having to go out and buy them had we known. In addition, there were no trash bags “under the sink” that the host continuously claimed were there, so we went out and bought those too. Another issue was with the dishwasher- when we went to use it there was a foul smell and plates in there (I presume from last renters). The host asked me to run the dishwasher, but it didn’t help -so we hand washed our dishes. Lastly fyi -there are no “beach towels”, just bath towels (one per person) so pack accordingly. All that being said, location was great, and the hosts provided some other great amenities (games, coffee filters, tin foil, dish soap, stocked kitchen etc) that made our stay very nice.

Great Location

The townhouse is comfortable and clean. The kitchen is well stocked with glassware, dishes, pot and pans and electric appliances. The area has a beach, boating and walking options. Coming from a location of high heat and humidity it was cool and comfortable. In fact, a nightly fire was enjoyable. Great location to travel to NJ or other towns in PA.

Great Location For Summer

We were familiar with the area having stayed in another townhouse a few years ago. The townhouse was close to several outdoor activities and in our case family and friends. The weather was rather cool for this time of year so we did not get to go swimming, but it was available. The townhouse was neat and clean and the kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, coffee makers, ovens, etc. When our plans changed because of travel problems the owner readily accepted our request for an extension.

Lovely Spot

This property is located in a quiet neighborhood just off Boulder Lake. Use of the swim club was just lovely. Easy access to areas like Jim Thorpe. Everything was clean and well-maintained. I highly recommend using this location.

Thermostat Dictator

The unit was clean except for a few smelly towels in the bathroom and the thermostat wasn't working. The thermostat issue was communicated day 1 of my 9 night trip but never got fixed. Instead, the host controlled the central air and heat remotely. My family would wake up cold in the middle of the night because the AC was left on while it was below 60°F outside. We had to text/call then wait hours for the heat to be turned on, standing outside just to warm up. When it was hot during the day, we had to text/call and wait for AC. At one point, when my whole family woke up freezing in the morning, I spoke to the host and he told told me that the temperature reading on his app was 71°F. I informed him that I think that the temperature he was reading was inaccurate due to the thermostat malfunctioning. His response was, "I think it is accurate", leading me to believe that this problem wasn't new and had been ongoing. There were even times I reached out to the host and didn't receive a response for over a day. I had to meet with the host's HVAC tech, and speak on the phone with him numerous times, even though I am not the host and the issue was never fixed. Lastly, even though I told them about the issue on day one, the host didn't attempt to reach out to an HVAC tech until 3 days later, after I called and complained to VRBO. The host did provide a 10% refund on the trip but that didn't make up for the huge inconvenience and all of the phone calls/text messages on our vacation.

Not so good experience

The owner gave us wrong key combination for entry door, and we had to wait outside for a while during a heavy rain. Also, the grill on deck was flooded with water, therefore, we could not use it.

Weekend get away

Overall we had an amazing experience. The property owners were extremely helpful and easy to get in contact with. The home was more than we expected! Activities such as the lake and restaurant on the lake were a little pricey, but we had a great time!

Serene, quiet, beautiful. The sky is so clear you can see the stars. It is safe to walk around and see the deer and turkey. We like to walk by the lake too.
Our home has security, and excellent lighting. We have an HOA, so all homeowners must obey rules. The trees are beautiful all year long, there are beautiful rocks, and it is very private.

Neighborhood/ Laurelwoods Amenities: Tennis courts, pickleball courts, picnic area, large grassy open space for kids to play.

Summer amenities include Boulder Lake Club access: Tennis courts, beach volleyball, boating, Fishing, private beach, heated pool access and boat rentals (paddle, catamaran, kayaking, battery powered boats). The lake community is open during the summer rental season. Lake Harmony has motor boat rentals.

Big Boulder Ski Mountain-walking distance, 0.5 miles away, offers day and night time skiing., and snowboarding. Jack Frost ski mountain is approximately 15 minutes away.

Split Rock Resort-golf course, indoor water park, bowling alley, arcade, movies, restaurants and mini-golf-only 9 minutes from our home!
Hickory Run State Park and Boulder Field-only 10 minutes from our home-we brought our kids here for hiking trails, boulder field play. There are miles of trout streams and an abundance of state park natural areas.
Camelback Resort-25 minutes away, skiing, tubing, water park. Also close to Kalahari resort, Casinos-Mohegan Sun and Mount Airy, Pocono Raceway.

Like to shop and eat? Tannersville Outlet shopping and many small shops are close by.
Enjoy Country Junction-the worlds largest general store with year round seasonal activities including petting zoos, pumpkin patch, and a fair.
