The best way to find happiness like a local is to live like one, in one of Aruba’s vacation rental accommodations.
Renting a home or apartment is an easy way to venture off Aruba’s strip of resorts and hotels to find the authentic side of the island usually reserved just for locals.
Feel the warm, friendly embrace of the Aruban people as they open their secluded beachside cottages, family-friendly houses, and clean, beautiful accommodations to you—and make their happy home your happy escape.
Many residents of Aruba do not have hot water
due to the fact that the water pipes are only a little bit under the soil so the tap water is always about 80 degrees. Aruba’s plumbing system differs from those found in other countries due to its limited resources and small land area. The island depends heavily on desalination plants for its water supply, making it necessary to use pipes that are smaller in diameter than those used in other parts of the world.
Blue Villa however has a hot water heater and we provide our guests with hot water. Understanding Aruba’s Plumbing System is pivotal since it’s important to note that understanding its intricacies is essential in ensuring proper disposal of waste. Knowing the protocol for disposing of bathroom waste in a foreign country like Aruba can save travelers from unexpected plumbing issues. Keep these tips in mind during your stay so that you can fully immerse yourself in everything this beautiful island has to offer Aruba One Happy Island!

BEAUTIFUL AND PRIVATE!!
Blue Villa is a convenient and lovely place to stay.. close to airport and centrally located so if you have a car rental you can go anywhere easily. The unit was a good size and had everything you would need... for those who have not been to Aruba in VRBO or Air BB. Residences typical do not have hot water tanks.. the running water is all the same. Luke warm... so electric razor is best for shaving legs if you and NOT in a RESORT. I might add that most residences also need you to respect their systems by not putting anything down the toilet. toilet paper and any another bathroom products should be disposed of in the trash.. I also noticed this in many restaurants... unless you were in a resort.. The owner was always reachable and care taker Orlando was helpful and respectful of privacy. I would definitely stay there again.

Pool house
I would not consider this a villa. I would consider this a pool house. Everything was in one room couldn’t put your suitcases away in the closet because there was not enough room. Everything was in there. There was no dish soap. There was no sponge. There was no oven one roll of toilet paper for a week one travel Travel supplies for a seven day stay very, very, very small. It would be good if you I guess if you go with by yourself, the area was scary. You had to lock everything. A lot of things that needed to be make it more comfortable. It needs to be listed differently. They should put. It’s a pool house not a villa. It is so small.

What defines a villa? A villa is a private standalone home, completely self-contained and includes a living room, kitchen, bedroom, etc, basically, everything you’d expect in a home. Villas come in many sizes from an intimate one-bedroom for couples to a mansion with 15 bedrooms accommodating up to 30 people. Our villa has private amenities like a pool, and a lush garden with an external patio, and it offers total privacy to our guests. How safe is Aruba? Aruba is known for its welcoming community and is considered one of the safest islands in the Caribbean for tourists. Tips on communication when asking for extra amenities when traveling. When needing extra amenities at a hotel or accommodation, is very simple: you can politely and clearly request them from the front desk staff or housekeeping, specifying what you need (e.g., extra towels, toiletries, etc.).
Here's a more detailed breakdown:
Be polite and clear: When you check in or while you're staying, approach the front desk and politely ask for any amenities you need.
Be specific: Clearly state what you need, such as "Could I please request an extra towel?" or "I'd like to request more shampoo and conditioner, please".
Check for policies: Some hotels/accommodations may have specific procedures for requesting amenities, so be sure to inquire about them.
Ask directly: If you're comfortable, you can approach your assigned housekeeper and ask for any extra amenities.
Be specific: Just like with the front desk, clearly state what you need, such as "Could I please have a few extra washcloths?".
Other Options:
Use a guest app (if available): Many hotels have apps that allow guests to request amenities and communicate with staff.
Call the front desk: If you're unable to visit the front desk in person, you can call and request amenities.
Check for hotel policies: Some hotels may have specific procedures for requesting upgrades or amenities, so be sure to inquire about them.
Examples of Amenities to Request:
Extra towels
Additional toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc.)
Extra pillows or blankets
A hairdryer
A crib or cot
A coffee maker or tea kettle
A bottle opener
A sewing kit
A first aid kit or A baby bottle warmer.
However, ask for amenities while you are a guest it is futile to communicate your needs at the end of your stay in the review section when you did not ask nor communicated your needs of comfort. As we mentioned in our welcome letter please ask management for anything you need to make your stay comfortable. Hence, get to know your Villa by opening the supply vanity drawer where you would have found an array of extra amenities. Hope these travel tips helps as we welcome your return to Aruba our One Happy Island!
