La Villa le Castillet Saint Hilaire de Riez

It is one of the most emblematic villas on the Vendée Corniche, known as “Les petits châteaux,” located on the border between Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie and Saint-Hilaire-de-Riez. Built in 1929 in a neo-Provençal style, “Le Castillet” today combines historic charm with very high-end contemporary comfort, all within a chic, warm, and family-friendly atmosphere.

Accommodating up to 10 guests, it is ideal for holidays with family or friends, where everyone will find their own space for relaxation, play, rest, or contemplation—offering an exceptional seaside stay.

On the ground floor, you will be welcomed into a large games room designed for both children and adults: you will find a well-stocked library, board games, a TV corner with a comfortable sofa, and a large wardrobe. This friendly space is perfect for relaxing as a family or keeping children entertained on cooler days. A more intimate lounge is tucked away, featuring a soft sofa and a cozy armchair—perfect for quiet moments, reading, or a game of chess. A laundry room is also available, equipped with a washing machine and dryer.

On the other side, there is a studio apartment, ideal for a couple, teenagers, or a nanny. It includes a comfortable sofa bed, a television, and a kitchenette with cooking hobs, a mini-fridge, a wardrobe, as well as a bathroom with shower and toilet. This studio offers full independence while remaining part of the house.

On the first floor, the heart of the home opens into a bright living area with panoramic views of the ocean and the “Grosse Terre” lighthouse. The elegantly designed dining room allows you to enjoy meals facing the sea around a large convivial table. A cozy seating area with sofas and armchairs invites you to relax, lulled by the coming and going of boats.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped: American-style fridge with fresh water and ice dispenser, a small wine cellar, dishwasher, and a “Magimix” food processor—perfect for unforgettable cooking moments. A separate lounge area allows you to isolate yourself or read in complete peace. It opens directly onto a balcony-terrace leading outside. The real highlight of this floor is the glass-fronted room facing the sea, designed as an office space. Quiet, bright, and open to the horizon, it is perfect for remote working or simply enjoying the sea view.

On the second floor, the sleeping area includes four spacious bedrooms, each carefully decorated and offering different but always spectacular sea views. Two master bedrooms feature large double beds and private bathrooms. The other two bedrooms are flexible, offering either two single beds or one large double bed, and share a bathroom.

At the very top of the villa lies one of its most incredible features: a panoramic rooftop with breathtaking views over Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, its beaches, and the endless Atlantic Ocean. Furnished with high-end outdoor furniture, this space is perfect for enjoying a morning coffee at sunrise, a drink at sunset, or simply admiring the scenery in complete peace.

Finally, the outdoor area is both elegant and functional, designed for relaxation and enjoyment at every moment with family or friends. The heated swimming pool, protected by a dome and thermal cover, allows comfortable swimming from spring to autumn. Around the pool, a wooden terrace hosts a large outdoor dining table and a summer kitchen with sink, worktop, and plancha grill—perfect for sunny lunches or dinners under the stars.

The garden is beautifully designed in a chic seaside style: local plants, harmonious flower beds, gravel paths, and Mediterranean touches. For convivial moments, a pétanque court has been set up in one corner of the garden for lively games under the ambient lighting.

The small rocky coves located just below are only 50 meters away (unsupervised). The nearest supervised beach is 300 meters away (at the foot of the Grosse Terre lighthouse). There are 3 separate toilets.
