Quiet, off the grid with Mountain Vista’s

A lovely warm and intimate Casita with a kiva fireplace, private courtyard covered with a pergola. The couple will have access to an outdoor swimming pool and sunbathing with views of the Sangre de Cristo Ski Basin. Pool is closed during winter. Trails and paths established for long walks with sites for meditation along the way to essentially nowhere. Outdoor furniture and barbecue will be an option for supper if going back into town does not appeal to the moment. Closest restaurant, Arroyo Vino, is only five minutes away if your choice is fine dining for the evening. Eat-in or take-out.

Wonderful home and beautiful property

Wife and I stayed for five days four nights - only met Ron when we first arrived (who was wonderful, gave us a tour and a bit of history about the beautiful property. Just far enough from the city to have that quiet secluded stay yet close enough to pop into town at any time! Can’t wait to return!

Rare opportunity for a safe, secluded and incredibly beautiful place to stay. The hosts were VERY kind and super helpful. You can’t go wrong with staying at this charming property. Grateful to have had the opportunity to enjoy these hosts and their dreamy vacation site.

This little villa was absolutely perfect. We enjoyed talking with the hosts, who were so friendly and accommodating! The scenery was beautiful and our privacy was completely respected.

Misleading

I booked 9 nights, place is a single room, no kitchen supplies, requested help any kind of with refund and was ghosted, awful.

This review is grossly exaggerated, incorrect and comes from one who arrived angry for personal reasons. Tenant did not request a refund. Site does not indicate a kitchen and is presented verbally and with pictures exactly what it is. Upon checkin, he indicated his disappointment that there was not a kitchen, so I prepared for him dinner to accommodate his frustrations. Next morning, he left without notice and never heard from him again. I explained to him prior to his arrival in earlier communication that the closest restaurant was 10 minutes away and that he needed to be prepared for meals. He heard…he just didn’t listen. My description on VRBO does not overstate my listing. It’s small and accommodating, has a swimming pool with Mountain View’s. It is 12 miles from town. Most tenants don’t mind since they are not paying $400-$500/night in town.

Lovely stay

I enjoyed the quiet beauty of both the location and casita itself. Ron and Debbie were quick in their communication and available with questions. The casita sits in a beautiful and somewhat remote area. It was peaceful and refreshing.

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was private and secluded. We had the pool to ourselves and several acres of property to hike on. Debbie and Ron were great communicators and hosts. We will definitely plan another trip in the future.

Remote beauty.

Beautiful property located on 15 plus acres with spectacular views. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood with the house on a cul de sac. The casita was fully equipped and included a washer dryer. We plan on coming back.

I can’t put into words the incredible view or the enchanting little courtyard and path that lead to the beautiful pool. This was such a cute and spacious room. Debbie and Ron were the perfect host and hostess - friendly, warm, and just delightful and so quick to respond. We will DEFINITELY return to this magical spot in the Land of Enchantment!

A great escape!

The bungalow was cozy and private. We loved the intimacy and beauty in the covered patio area. Lots of room to roam and explore the property that has amazing top of the road views, especially from the pool area! Only a short 20 minute pretty drive down took us to the action of the city. The hosts were warm and welcoming without being intrusive, great hospitality. We can not wait to return

Very Private!

It is a guesthouse on their property, but they dont bother you at all! I actually only met Debbie's husband at check in, and didn't see them again after! They were very responsive and helpful when I had questions. If youre looking for a nice private and beautiful place to stay, I highly reccomend it! Just keep in mind, it's a decent distance from Santa Fe.

Seclusion and quiet

Hosts on site and available. Lovely private property. Grill available for cooking, microwave and toaster oven/airfryer, small fridge. Compact quarters. Tad awkward after specifically stating pool time is what we were looking for, assured we'd have it, Ron mentioned several times the propane to heat pool was pricey & took a lot. Last day they added water to the pool and never turned on the heater. Needless to say, the pool was far too chilly to swim. So our last day we just sat by the pool. A bit of a letdown.

Really! Was this ungrateful review your words or your charming husband? When the pool is open all day in this arid climate, the water evaporates and you have to fill it for it to properly circulate. That was the case when we put water in it. Despite that the fact that your highest’s fat a*** is sunbathing or not, maintenance is ongoing.

A terrible first time stay at a VRBO

First the pictures on VRBO are misleading, the bed was terrible, no hot water for a night and a day, the fireplace didn't work, the creamer was curdled, the coffee was terrible, you could hear snoring from the main house, very overpriced for the space, the host didn't return phone calls in a timely matter. I want my money back all of it.

Gorgeous but 3 major issues

Pros first: The owners were very nice and their home/property is absolutely stunning. The room is very cute and cozy, the view is amazing and it’s unbelievably quiet and peaceful where they are located. I really want to give this place 5 stars but I can’t get past the cons. 3 major issues: First was the lack of hot water. The owner had warned us that you have to let the water run for a long time before it gets warm. I’m not sure what a long time is for them because it seemed that no matter how long we ran it, it never got warm. This made us not want to use the pool, even though that was part of the reason we booked this place, since taking a nice hot shower afterward just wasn’t convenient at all. Second, was that their wifi was so spotty that it made doing anything on our phones virtually impossible because we had no cell service at this house. When you’re in a new city and trying to use the internet to find directions and places to go, that gets really frustrating really quickly. Third, and this was my worst issue, was that the bed was horrendous. It was the creakiest, noisiest, most rickety bed I’ve ever slept on. It made it impossible to get out of bed or simply roll over without one of us waking the other up with the noise and shaking, and since I’m pregnant I tend to get out of bed a lot at night. The result was me and my husband being woken up several times a night and getting little to no sleep on what was supposed to be a child free restful vacation.

Really! If you had an issue, we were one minute away from rectifying any issue. Complaint 1. Shortage of hot water. Response. There is no shortage of hot water. Complaint 2. Spotty WiFi. I have no control of your cell Phone service. We do not have WiFi problems in area. Complaint 3. Bed Not Comfortable Response. Bed has been comfortable for all guests Except for you. Perhaps it was you because you stated you were pregnant and had to get up multiple times during night. Complaint 4. Couldn’t use pool because of hot water shortage. Maybe you couldn’t use pool because it rained every day and temperature was only in low 80’s when raining and wind blowing, lightening and thundering. Your stay was only 2 days. At least now you know where not to say next time you come to Santa Fe.

Everything you need! Beautiful peaceful setting!

We really enjoyed staying just outside of town, away from the hustle. The mountain views were so pretty! The location was quiet & peaceful! The Casita had everything needed for a couple! Owners were great!

Oasis of calm

Property was perfect place to come and be still and decompress each day while in Santa Fe for a Healing Retreat. It was quiet, clean and away from the hustle and bustle. Has comfy bed and warm soothing surroundings. It has TV if you wish, but I didn't use. Book this Property! It is perfect for a getaway and has all the things you need if you wish to be away from others and enjoy peace and quiet.

Secluded paradise

First off the property is amazingly beautiful with absolute gorgeous views! It is our favorite part of the Santa Fe area. Our casita was very clean, comfortable and just all around perfect for relaxing and entertaining guests on the outdoor patio or poolside. Debbie and Ron were amazing hosts, so gracious and accommodating. We hope to be back soon.

Relaxing and private, beautiful views!

This is an excellent property to stay for 2! The patio outside is shaded, has lighting for evening, and is a great place to enjoy the quiet! We walked along the paths on the property, as well as on the quiet, secluded road in the neighborhood, seeing beautiful views of the near and far mountain ranges as well as the sunset! The restaurant in the vicinity is also excellent!

Unwind, enjoy the out doors and browse art.

Amazing property with all that you need to unwind and enjoy. Comfortable bed, wonderful heated pool and breathtaking views. Just a short scenic drive to downtown with tons of restaurants, shops and galleries. The host Debbie and Ron are the best hosts we have ever had. Kind, generous and respectful of your privacy. We will come back as often as we can!
