Really lovely lakefront cabin in a great location. My friend and her dog, and I stayed two nights - wish it could have been a week! Everything we needed was right there - enjoyed reading a book off the shelf of local legend Pilot, and the coffee for the filter machine was delicious. Thanks very much - will definitely stay again if back in the area.

Perfect stay! The Red Sled has everything you need. It’s immaculate, beds are comfy and the lake view along with the fire pit were amazing! Would definitely stay again!

The perfect vacation rental. The cabin is truly amazing. The beds are comfy and it is equipped with everything needed. We especially enjoyed the view of the lake and the welcoming sounds of the loons.

We loved our stay at the red sled, but you might want to bring drinking water.

I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay! The wells around the lake do have iron in them but we have invested in a three-filter system to insure water is pure and testing confirms that. However, a Brita filter will be added to the kitchen supplies for those who prefer additional filtering.

Amazing stay!

We loved the cabin and property so much. Holly was very responsive, helpful, and kind. We even saw the aurora from the cabin multiple nights! We will be staying there again!

Cute and clean

The Red Sled was so cozy and beautiful! It was the perfect, serene place to relax and enjoy the quiet surroundings of the lake, trees and mountains. We loved our 3 days here!!

Perfect Cabin, Loved it!

The cabin was wonderful and in such a beautiful setting by the lake. It was easy to get to, just a mile or so off the highway. Very private, so quiet, and still close to Talkeetna for shopping or dining. We visited Talkeetna and the river, drove to Denali one day, and had supper at the brewery. Thanks for such a great place to stay, were already planning our next visit.

Peaceful and quiet setting with beautiful fall colors. Lovely walking trails a few miles away. Friendly and responsive owner. We loved the fire pit with lake view, and all the appliances were so nice.

Comfy lakeside cabin near Talkeetna

We enjoyed staying in this warm and cozy cabin in the woods on a lake near Talkeetna. It was very clean and well-stocked, and the host provided lots of helpful information about the area. It was fun to see the loon parents in the lake fishing for the young loon.

Cozy Cabin in the Woods

We spent the first few days of the new year at the Red Sled cabin. It was cozy and clean, with a nice view of the lake. A great place to hang out and play games.

This was our first time to Alaska and greatly appreciated The location of this house. Close enough to Anchorage, Denali State Park, and talkeetna. We went off-season so there were many things that were closed but there were no crowds and traffic was good. It rained just about every day that we were here so it was nice to have the cabin with a porch that we could sit on and enjoy the lake. Lovely house, just what you need, and very clean. Would definitely stay here again if I ever visit the area again.

Oosik weekend getaway

We had the best time staying at the red sled property. It was so cozy, well stocked, and a great quiet location. The only thing that made it challenging for our group was not having a door on one of the bedrooms as we had a 4 year old that had an early bedtime.

Wonderful setting and amenities

The setting and view out the back wall and porch were wonderful. The coffee station was great and there were plenty of towels and blankets. There was a fire ban when we were visiting, otherwise we would have used the fire pit. Not recommended for large groups looking for privacy from one another, but we were happy for the communal spaces.

Comfortable, scenic, and spacious for 2 people. This was my son’s favorite place in Alaska. Close enough to the brewery, Burch syrup shop, IGA grocery store, gas station and downtown area where we enjoyed shops, restaurants, hiking, zip-lining, plane ride to Denali and ATV ride. It was quiet and relaxing. Saw a moose through the window just outside. Would love to go back.

Great place to stay

Very clean with comfortable beds. Great property on a lake. We got to watch beavers and loons. The owner was awesome and let us switch weekends due to medical appointments. That was greatly appreciated! Our family got to have a quiet weekend to unwind. Took a flight to Denali with K2 Aviation which is a must while in Talkeetna. Will stay again.

Serene lake setting

Perfect. A place for my wife and I to rest and rejuvenate from our long travel to Alaska from North Carolina. Walking on the remote road around the cabin and sitting on porch and watching wildlife. Pretty darn cool.
