Enjoy relaxing holidays on the North Sea in the historic captain's house on the old dike. The house from the mid 18th Century is centrally located in the village, in a very quiet, car-free location with open views of grassland, trees and the Mahlbusen (Speichersee).
The house is built in the old sea dike and has on the front and back each a small outdoor seating area.
You can expect cozy rooms, some with original old ceiling beams. The house is tastefully furnished and has a well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, washing machine and V. M.

On the ground floor are the cozy living room and kitchen with a beautiful view of the dike, a tasteful bedroom with solid floorboards and two small bathrooms / WC / shower.

An old wooden ship ladder leads to the attic, where there are two more small bedrooms. These two bedrooms are equipped with oak parquet; the sloping and hatch windows convey a particularly cozy and maritime flair here.
All bedrooms have been newly renovated.

Here you can enjoy peace and good air. You and your children will find plenty of space and free space on the big Deichwiesen front of the house.
Everything is within easy walking distance. In the center in the immediate vicinity of the house are a well-stocked supermarket with bakery, several restaurants / cafes and a fish sale.
Furthermore, you will also find a bicycle and canoe rental, the National Park House, the two-Siele Museum and various spa services in the Kurhaus.
In about 10-15 minutes you reach a nice walk along the Mahlbusens (idyllic storage lake in front of the Sielwerk to the North Sea) the beach, harbor, fish restaurant with fish sales, heated seawater outdoor pool, Reethaus the sea (indoor playground for children), mini golf, boat rental u. V. M.


Information about the house

Please note that the staircase to the upper floor is steep and narrow and therefore only suitable for very small children and people who are very corpulent or poor on foot!
At the top landing a fall protection is available.

Parking / unload luggage

There is no parking in front of the house, as the old dike in front of the house is closed to cars. A free large parking is available 180 meters away. There are always (even during the absolute high season) at any time of the day and night very many parking spaces free.
For loading and unloading can be briefly driven directly in front of the house, the driveway on the old dike is quite narrow and there is no turning possibility (dead end). We manage this with VW Bus, but we recommend to park in the parking lot and to transport the luggage from there to the house with our own carts. From the parking lot to the house is about 150m (at ground level), which is relaxed and for children and adults after the long drive the first holiday fun.

Due to the location in the old dike, the house is only by exterior stairs (5 steps) and therefore not accessible to all to achieve.

We have taken over the house in 2015 and have been refurbished ever since. All bedrooms have been completely renovated or newly furnished.
Showers, bath u. Toilets are freshly painted, clean and functional, but very small and on the state of the 1980s / 90s.
Smoking and pets are not allowed in the house.

Storage room next to the kitchen
- Housekeeping room with washing machine next to the bathroom.

Upper floor:
-1 bedroom with double bed (length 190cm, width 180cm)
-1 further bedroom with double bed (length 200 cm, width 140 cm).

Domestic equipments:
Central heating, children (travel) bed, baby high chair, satellite TV, WLAN, mini-compact system with radio / CD / Bluetooth, dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator, 4 ring electric stove with oven, coffee maker, garden furniture, charcoal grill for terrace, own wagon for Beach and transports, games + books for rainy weather, ironing board / iron.

Enjoy an individual comfortable old house in a green quiet location with plenty of genuine maritime atmosphere and patina.
