Kilohana at Poipu is a private tranquil vacation home nestled in the center of Kiahuna Golf Village and the Robert Trent Jones, Jr. golf course. This single-level home has a spacious indoor/outdoor living layout centered around a heated swimming pool and courtyard, perfect for entertaining. The main house offers one master suite along with a guest bedroom with air conditioning throughout. The attached ohana suite offers a second master bedroom also with Ac and direct access to the pool and courtyard.

PARRISH PROFESSIONAL CLEAN – Built Upon the Vacation Rental Management Association (VRMA) “Safe Home” cleaning program, we further expanded our existing high standard of housekeeping at our properties where hospital-grade cleaning products and protocols were already in use. Our goal by layering on the recommended new steps is to provide our guests assurance and peace of mind that when they stay at any Parrish Kauai property that every effort was made to ensure a high level of cleanliness, sanitation and disinfection.

The Parrish Collection is a locally owned and based real estate management company that specializes in vacation rentals on Kauai and Maui. Lovely house. Nice pool. Very quiet. A short drive to a beach with plenty of parking. The house is well appointed for cooking. BBQ was great to have. Plenty of beach chairs and boogie boards. Perfect for a family.

The host, Parrish Kauai, was very good and kept us informed. The check in process was very easy. The hosts were always accessible and helpful. The property was clean and well maintained. Plenty of kitchenware, towels, blankets, and beach accessories. The location is close to beaches, shopping, restaurants, and all of the tours we booked were no longer than 30 minutes away. The dishwasher was not working and one of the bathrooms appeared to have a leak when using the shower. Overall, I would recommend this property if looking to rent a home.

Awesome property!

We loved this house!! Everyone enjoyed the pool and with 3 beds and baths we all had plenty of room. The house is close to a Poipu Beach and many other Kauai sites. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Beautiful home with Private Pool

We truly enjoyed the house and property. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook indoors or outdoors on the grill. There are 2 indoor tables that each accommodated our group of 6. There were beach chairs, boogie boards, and umbrellas available to use.

Great place to enjoy all of Poipu!

We were a family of 7, staying for a little over a week. The house is in a great location with easy access to the beaches. The pool and the outdoor BBQ were fantastic, we used it every night and loved the space throughout the house. Thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. Thank you Mark and Kristi.

Truly Exceptional

What a place! The most well-appointed kitchen of all rental homes in my experience. Outdoor grill area by the pool was top notch! Bedrooms were very comfortable, privacy throughout the property despite being located in a neighborhood. This would be the home I'd want to live in if I lived on Kauai. Mahalo!

Fabulous Kauai Vacation Home

I've been to Kauai several times and this is by far the best place I've stayed at. My two brothers and their wives stayed here. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay relaxing by the pool and BBQing. The house is beautifully decorated and is very comfortable. There was ample space for everyone to have their own privacy as well as gathering as group. The house and area are very quiet. We would definitely come back again.

Beautiful spot to relax

We enjoyed our 10 day visit very much. The location is a bit out of town, so we drove rather than walked to the beach, dinners out, etc. Being in a quiet area was peaceful in the evenings though and we loved having the heated pool. The house is very well furnished and equipped with almost everything a guest could want. We recommend bringing a Bluetooth speaker for music.

This Home Made it Our Best Vacation on Kauai Yet!

From the moment we walked in, this home made a lasting impression (it’s even better in person). My husband and I (and our two boys) stayed in the main house while my parents enjoyed the privacy (and close proximity) of the casita. We loved our morning coffee together on the lanai and cocktails every evening floating in the warm pool. The palm trees in the backyard added so much to the island feel. This home is like a resort without the hustle and bustle of a big hotel. The neighborhood is lovely too. We’ve already recommended this home to family and friends. We will be back!

Terrific property!

We absolutely loved the house!! I stayed there with my family (husband and two daughters - 12 and 15) including my dad. The Ohana suite was great for my dad - gave him his own space with a Keurig (for morning coffee) to be part of the action but also a place to get away. We loved how the house was laid out with space between all bedrooms and with the pool as the center point of the property. The gardens were gorgeous and we enjoyed the covered grilling/eating area at the pool. It was a short drive (5 min or less) to Poipu beach and many restaurants and shops in the area. The communication with the owner/manager were excellent both before arrival and during our stay. The house had everything we needed. Mahalo for a great stay!! We will be back!

Sun filled days and starry nights.

This is a great house. For 4 adults it was absolutely perfect. Very clean, super comfortable, amazing beds and very nice amenities over all. The best feature of this house has to be the pool area, it’s even better in person! It’s super serene and we loved that the two main bedroom and kitchen are oriented around this space — so you feel always outside. At night we just sat on the outside chairs and star gazed. Most I recall seeing ever. We have stayed in this is neighborhood before at a different home—and ant other points around Kauai over a dozen years. A spot in Poipu is ideal if you’re going this first time or with family. Parrish Kauai did a terrific job and was very responsive. Thanks for the excellent vacation.

Amazing house with private pool

We stayed for one week at Mark and Kristi’s house and it was wonderful! The house looks like it is completely brand new furnished and everything is in perfect condition. The pictures actually don’t do it justice, it is even more beautiful in real life. We enjoyed the pool and the spacious bedrooms, and Mark and Kristi even got us a pack n play and high chair for our baby, so we didn’t have to bring anything extra. They checked in with us, brought us extra hairdryers and were super responsive for any questions we had. The WiFi was great as well, we were even able to do some work calls with fabulous connection. We would definitely come back - and bring a second family or the grandparents, as the layout of the place would be ideal to accommodate two (or maybe even 3) sets of adults due to the cute guest house across from the pool.

Beautiful Home in Pristine Neighborhood

Mark and Kristi were amazing to rent from. Communication was prompt, personable, and professional! House is amazing! Separate “in law” suite was perfect for our adult children. The house is meticulous. Pool area is well maintained and perfect for a post beach dip. All of the amenities of home except located in paradise! House doesn’t sit right on the golf course which we liked (it is on the inside of a circle with the outside on the course). We would stay here again without hesitation. We can’t thank Mark and Kristi enough!’ We hiked, sailed, snorkeled, rode ATVs, explored beaches, paddled up rivers, and had some great dinners out. Happy to provide information about any of those activities.

Outstanding home and hospitality

This review builds on a previous review of this property, as we significantly extended our stay. It is worth recognizing one critical, additional aspects of this rental (since our previous review commended the location, configuration, etc.) The owners -- Mark and Kristi -- are outstanding. Whereas many rentals on Kauai are handled by management agencies, this property is entirely managed by the owners. That means they care deeply about your experience and provide way more personal service and engagement. Any text or email we sent was answered immediately, and Mark and Kristi repeatedly went above and beyond our expectations to ensure our family had the time of our lives on Kauai. This level of hospitality and personal investment is not possible from a management company, and we are grateful for having had the opportunity to meet Mark and Kristi. They are welcoming, generous and genuine people.

Perfect family vaction home!

A perfect home for a wonderful family vacation. This home is bright and spacious and is a perfect getaway for a family. The kitchen is well appointed with a bright eating area over-looking the patio and pool - a perfect spot for enjoying breakfast while watching the kids play in the pool. The living room was cozy and inviting and just the space for relaxing at night after a day at the beach and watching a movie with the family. A wonderful quiet community close to great beaches and shopping and it was an absolute treat to have our beach needs met without having to run out to the store to rent or buy boogie boards or chairs. It was a lovely surprise and pleasure to be able to meet Mark and Kristi and they made our family feel welcome and right at home. The property manager - Jason - was gracious and exceptionally helpful in assisting us with the home and it was a pleasure visiting with him. Even the gentleman and his son that care for the pool was lovely - the Canadian connection was just a bonus. This was simply a wonderful experience. It truly felt as though we were staying in a home and made our family vacation all the more special.

Beautiful, well-appointed dream home away from home!

We so enjoyed our family vacation at Mark and Kristi's beautiful home on the south side of Kauai. The pictures, while very nice, do not do this property justice. The layout of this 3 bedroom home was perfect for our family with our almost teenager staying in the O'hana suite, my 9 year old had the queen guest room and we enjoyed the spacious master suite. The home was so clean and well maintained, the furnishings perfect and beautiful. We instantly unpacked our belongings and made ourselves right at home (and felt at home). We enjoyed every morning sunrise out in the poolside courtyard and spent every late afternoon in the pool. The owners thought of everything and we were well taken care of. We also loved the proximity of the home to Poipu beach, Shipwreck beach, shopping, fabulous restaurants, etc. Location was perfect! We have rented numerous homes for our family vacations in Hawaii and the Caribbean, and this is by far our favorite. We will definitely return. We were sad to leave. Ideal home base for Kauai adventures

We stayed at this home for 3 weeks and enjoyed it so much, we extended for 3 more weeks. We only wish we had stayed longer—this became an extremely comfortable home for us on the island. The house is outstanding. Our family of four had a lot of space. At a time when there were two adults working remotely and two kids attending school remotely, we all had rooms / tables / desks to call our own and great WiFi. And there's nothing better than taking a swim in between meetings or classes. Better yet is the location. Our two boys are addicted to golf, and could walk to the driving range and putting green at Kiahuna Golf Course. We were minutes from the best beaches on the south shore and located such that we could easily drive to hikes in Waimea Canyon and Wailua (Nounou). The owners and house manager are extremely kind and responsive—when we (ahem) locked ourselves out early in our trip, there was a solution in minutes. If you are looking for a first-class house in a quiet neighborhood, with access to golf, beaches, restaurants, hikes and other adventures, this is a fantastic find!

Great home for a family or group

I'll start out by saying that we really loved the home itself. It was clean, comfortable, spacious, well equipped. And we thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor internal courtyard with pool as it was very private. The only reason I am giving 4 stars overall and not 5 is that it's not particularly quiet - at least not for the next several months as there is a construction project and noise most of day + you can hear neighbors a lot (music from outdoor stereo next door). Even though we were out most of the day, one reason we chose this house with a pool was so we could come back after beach or hikes and relax by pool. (The pool is awesome.) We feel that the construction issue should have been disclosed; the noise wasn't awful, but it was like a perpetual drone in the background. Otherwise, the house is great. And having the separate guest suite was great for our son and his girlfriend to have their own little getaway within the "compound." Parrish was pretty good, but some of the house instructions weren't super clear and they didn't seem to know a lot of specifics about the house. - for example that the house actually did have plenty of beach equipment - chairs, boogie boards, snorkel gear (which I had asked about, but they didn't seem to know). We would highly recommend this house unless you want something really tranquil.

Mahalo Valerie for your review and comments. We are so happy that you enjoyed the home and the pool. We always try our best to let our guests know about potential noise or projects nearby. Our apologies for not notifying you of the work in advance. I do see we discounted the two days of your stay that you were disturbed. This home is a newer addition to our collection and each owner stocks their differently. We ask owners to stock beach chairs and a cooler, but then guests often leave other items behind which we do not inventory. We are glad that made use of the extra items. We appreciate your recommendation and look forward to hosting your ohana again soon.

Our Perfect Kauai Home

Our group consisted of my husband, myself, our daughter and her husband and our 11 year old grandson. As the pandemic played out and before we actually made it to Kauai, we searched FIVE different times for a home. Finally clearing the covid requirements, we made it to Kauai on the fifth trip and we feel we hit the jackpot with this home and it's owners!! From the beginning, the owners said they would work with us should covid and the governor shut the island down. That was a huge relief and just the beginning of how easy they were to work with. This home was perfect for us! With one of the three bedrooms and a full bath separate (but just a few steps from the main house), our daughter and son in law had their privacy while my husband and I had ours and our grandson had his own room away from his parents and with his grandparents (what kid could ask for more?). Everything we needed to feel at home was waiting for us. Although a property manager was named and a phone number provided, we never had need to call for help. The home is just off the golf course in a very nice and safe neighborhood. The pool is located in a fully fenced area with plenty of outdoor seating. Many of the nine evenings we were there were spent by the pool watching the stars. We were especially appreciative of the beach chairs, body boards, sand toys and ice chests provided to us at no extra cost by the owners. Rental or purchasing these things on the island is not a cheap expense. We highly recommend this house and are grateful we were able to enjoy it.

Note-Perfect!

This is a beautiful property, and the photos do not do it justice. The interior spaces are large, spotless, and beautifully appointed with so many thoughtful touches. Everywhere you look inside and out there is something pleasant - art, etched class, a well-chosen piece of furniture - to see. Both the owners and the property manager are lovely to deal with and made us feel looked after even with a hurricane rolling in. The house is a short drive from the beach in a peaceful community away from the tourist madness, very private, and quiet in the evenings; we loved preparing meals from the excellent sunshine markets while our children swam, eating them in the airy dining area, and stargazing at night. The day we spent "in" when Iselle blew through was a pleasure - try saying at about any other property - reading and watching movies in the comfortable living room that was cozy while at the same time being large enough to dance in should you choose. You do need a car, but within 5 minutes' drive are several wonderful restaurants, an outstanding fish market, and beaches for swimming, snorkeling, boarding, tidepooling, whatever you wish. If you like to bike the terrain is level and there are several places close by worth exploring. Families with very small chilldren should note that there are sliders all around the house that open onto a courtyard with a pool, and one of the bedrooms is in an ohana suite that locks off separately. This was not a problem with our 10 year-old, who loved the privacy and is a good swimmer. We spent much more time here than we thought we would on this trip just because it was so relaxing and pleasant. Thanks to Mark and Kristi for all e love they've poured into this home!

Rundum eine tolle Unterkunft

Es hat uns in dieser Unterkunft an nichts gefehlt. Als Selbstversorger (6 Personen) war die Küche groß genug und gut ausgestattet. Alle Geräte waren top, u.a auch Waschmaschine und Trockner. Der beheizbare Pool war ein Traum. Im Hauptschlafzimmer war die Klimaanlage leider zu schwach um richtig zu kühlen. Aber es gibt die Möglichkeit tagsüber dieses zu verdunkeln, damit es sich nicht aufheizt. Bei Abreise am Flughafen habe ich feststellen müssen, dass ich meine teure Kette im Bad vergessen hatte. Leider wurde diese von der Putzkolonne anscheinend nicht gefunden. Der Hausverwalter war direkt und schnell erreichbar. Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit :)

Excellent home with pool

Family of 5 enjoyed this home especially the pool patio and grill. Excellent AC in all rooms. Beach stuff added additional benefits.
