One block from MSU and a few blocks from down town. Perfectly situated in Springfield for whatever you are looking to do. Plenty of off street parking. Two kitchens three laundry, ect. Huge wrap around porch. Newly remodeled. Also. This house has stairs up and down. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs and one bedroom on main floor There are three bedrooms in the basement Also,We have remodeled the two car garage into a one bedroom apartment. If you would like to rent it, please let me know. It is available on Vrbo as well. The number is 411772. That is the property ID. It is a separate unit and does rent separately, but you most certainly welcome to can coordination with the main house is on the same property shares the same parking space. The main thing about this particular unit is it is a garage so there are no stairs. So if you have young people or old people, this is very good. Sleep 16 in main house please park facing national street Do Not Park By House This will leave plenty of room for everyone to enter and exit the property. Plenty of room to turn around in back then head out facing national Plenty of parking

Overall the place worked out great for our group. It’s close to a lot of things in Springfield so makes it a good location. It is an old house and currently has a lot of updating going on. The old house brings nostalgia and has great size, but also the old house things to deal with. Lots of parking, but access to the parking is off of a busy intersection. Host was very responsive.

Everything was wonderful. Smooth sailing from check in to check out. Any questions we had, were answered promptly. If we are ever out that way again, we will definitely book again.

It was a wonderful place to stay! Plenty of room for 2 families with 5 kids each! Cheryl was so helpful when the door code was different than what VRBO said it is. And she was always quick to respond with everything!

Everything is as described by host. Very clean, beds are comfortable, water is hot, AC is cold. Plenty of parking as in, the most parking I've ever seen for any vrbo anywhere. I bet you could park 20 cars with no fuss. This is a HUGE bonus for city stays.We enjoyed sitting on the large wrap-around porch, having lunch, watching the world go by.Lastly, for 8 bedrooms, the price was the best in town.

We were looking for a place with enough rooms to accommadte a family of eight siblings to gather and spend some quality time together for an early Thanksgiving time together. This home was a delightful location for us to gather from all corners of the USA. I believe we would do it again

Great location in downtown Springfield. Just minutes from everywhere and close to Branson. Lots of Bathrooms!!! Great stay

Nice sized bedrooms and gathering space. Loved the front porch! Plenty of bathrooms for our size party of 10. Kitchen was a little small on the main level but 2nd kitchen in the basement helped. The host was very kind in allowing extra guests to come over as our daughter got engaged that weekend which wasn’t in our original plans.

We rented the whole house plus the garage apartment for our group of 14 adults. It's a stately old house, with a few separate areas for groups to gather including on the front porch. The kitchen table (actually 2 square tables) could seat 8 people. There was plenty of seating for all of us to be together in the living room. All the beds are queens, one bed per room. The bedrooms are all nice except for one of the basement rooms that was small and less pleasant. There are 4 bedrooms upstairs, one on the main floor, and 3 in the basement. The main floor kitchen was tiny; a second kitchen in the basement was a little bigger. Note there is no dishwasher - not a big problem for us as we were mostly eating out. Cheryl, the owner, was extremely responsive and replied quickly when we needed her. Like in any old house, there was dust in some corners, but it was very clean where it counted - beds, bathrooms, kitchens. Central air conditioning worked well. There was a washer and dryer on every floor. We had 4 cars between us and plenty of parking in the gravel lot. Other than the smallness of the kitchen, the place was very comfortable and I definitely recommend it for large groups.

Good property

Amount of rooms is fantastic and spaced out. The decor goes with the house, old. The kitchen bathrooms were great. Some of the beds were pretty broken down but others were great. Overall we enjoyed the house and recommend it.

Spacious house

Very spacious, my kids loved having their own room even our 1 year old granddaughter. Everyone loved sitting on the front porch. My advice is if you don't need to use the bedroom on main floor don't very loud with cars going by. Adult children heard hardly nothing. Other than that had wonderful time.

Great Stay

First, I really appreciated the quick response and friendliness of the owner. The house was historic and charming. There were plenty of places to sleep! Everyone in our group of 10 had nothing but nice things to say. There is a big chalk area in the kitchen and stair area to spark the creative juices flowing, The living room has plenty of seating with extra tables and chairs for a lively game night. There is also a working player piano and antique radio. There were umbrellas, garbage cans, paper towels mini fridges, and microwaves and laundry baskets in each room for our convenience. Seemed yo be close to everything and a great neighborhood. Overall given the age of the house everything was in working order and really brought back some nostalgia!

Me & my family stayed in this historic house which was amazing. There was more than enough space to accommodate everyone. It was great to have a tv in each room, but would’ve been nicer to have one in the living room to watch. It would also be good to have a sofa beds instead of two sofas.Communication with Cheryl was great. She would reply to you immediately. It t does get a little drafty in the house, so you have to adjust the heat per level. It was thermostats on each level, which was great.I had left something of value & immediately informed her, which the cleaning people sent her a photo & I was able to retrieve what I had left. This was true honesty on behalf of the cleaning personnel.Overall, we had a great time @ this historical house.

Great location, great hosts, just a few things....

This is an amazing older house with some really cool antiques and a great vibe. The students LOVED it. I will say that the cleanliness was not as good as the last time we rented. AS far as the property itself, the kitchen area is super small and has not dishwasher and not much counter space. I had to buy several pizza pans (which I left with the house) in order to cook our frozen pizza meal. The basement apartment was nice, however, it did smell moldy and stale. Overall, though, I would stay again due to size, location, and responsiveness of the host.

Bed Bugs! On the second night of our stay, after all of our family had arrived and we had people sleeping in the basement bedrooms that night, we had girls wake up to bedbugs crawling on their pajamas, sheets and pillows. Very gross. We contacted the host immediately to report the situation. Looking over the bedroom in question, there were dozens of bugs, they were on the floor, walls, and obviously on the bed and mattress. After attending graduation that morning, we returned after to pack up our belongings and move everybody to hotel rooms for our final night in Springfield, not wanting to spend any more time here. As a group we spent well over an hour of our daughter's graduation party doing laundry, carefully picking through every bag and piece of clothing that had been in the basement, looking for hitchhiking bugs. Not how we wanted to be spending our family time.I asked for a full refund for our for our stay for the trouble and to cover the hotel room cost, but the host only refunded the night we found the bugs and the 3rd night we left early. She insisted on keeping the money for the first night and ironically the cleaning fee as well.... "However, I will not be refunding the cleaning fee. The home still required the full cleaning turnover and additional inspection/treatment measures following your stay."Look over the basement bedrooms very carefully..

This property was good for our large family to stay in for a few nights. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for all of us. It is close to everything which was great. Parking can be tricky but not terrible. If you are looking for something for a large group for a few nights at a decent price this is fine. Some things I will note - beds are not great. Pretty uncomfortable and pillows are flat. Doors are leaky - cold air was freely flowing into all the doors and the house was frigid the first night. We had to turn on the emergency heat pump just to make it warm enough to be tolderable. Furniture in the house is not comfortable at all and a few of the chairs at the dinig table felt one wrong move away from collapse. The kitchen is so small - be prepared for that. The basement kitchen sink leaked everywhere when we tried to use it but the owner said she would have someone fix it. Overall we would stay again if we needed a place for a few nights.
