The property is beautiful

We had a very relaxing trip. The prop is beautiful and pretty secluded. Sitting on the dock in the morning with a cup of coffee was the best part of the day!

Relaxing visit to a beautiful spot

Cottage was clean, adorably decorated, on lake that my hubby lived fishing on! Geese and turtles also on lake. Porch was my favorite spot. Easy Check in & out. Will definitely return. Wifi was limited but really No complaints! Happy to avoid chaos& traffic in Tuscaloosa for this peaceful retreat.

Peaceful Get-A-Way

This was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy nature! My family and I celebrated our Thanksgiving in this well equipped cottage. We enjoyed fishing and walking up to the chapel. The views were breath taking. My young adult kids enjoyed the beauty and seclusion the cottage offered. We also found driving to UA to be an easy 30 minute drive when we attended the Iron Bowl. We all agreed this stay was memorable!!

Cottage with pond

Great peaceful stay with family for a getaway but for 600 a night, the cleanliness was seriously lacking. There were so many cobwebs/ spider webs under the kitchen table and couch area/ ceiling fans. Not sure if not stayed in in long time or what. That was only issue. My allergies and kids were killing me. We caught some small fish but this is extremely overpriced.

Current nightly rate was stated incorrectly. Nightly rate is $450. Apologies for anything you felt was not satisfactory. They were promptly addressed. We appreciate your feedback and strive to meet the expectations of our guests so that they can fully enjoy their stay. Our ratings for the past 12 years have been nothing but stellar! Also, thank you for letting us know the source of the bright pink goop stains on the white comforters. It gave us insight as to what product to use to remove the stains! Fortunately we did not have to replace them.

Wonderful Getaway

Thank you for sharing your little piece of heaven. The cottage is spacious, extremely clean, with great character, and has all the amenities needed. Venue was very easy to find and enter. The immediate property and adjacent hillsides provided plenty of room for our dogs to roam and play. The dock is spacious and great for morning coffee and evening cocktails. And to top it all off, the lake is LOADED with hand size bream and 8" - 15" bass. This would be the perfect place to introduce your spouse and kids to catching. Bring plenty of worms or crickets and float them 4' - 5' under a bobber or on the bottom with a couple split shots. Our stay was everything we dreamed of and more. We will be back for a longer stay next time.
