In the center of the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains lies our comfortable two-bedroom cabin in Burnsville, NC. It is on 23 fully treed acres and surrounded by the Pisgah National Forest with direct access to the Appalachian Trail. Hike on your own or take a free host guided tour including Bald Mountain with its 25-mile vistas.

Unwind in the "well jetted" hot tub with spa robes and towels after a day of hiking or skiing. The Hatley Pointe Ski Resort is just a 23-minute drive away. Stay connected with the free Wi-Fi and enjoy your favorite shows on Netflix, Amazon, Roko, and a host of other channels.

The fully stocked kitchen includes all the essentials for a relaxing mountain stay. Enjoy your favorite Keurig coffee (assorted brands included) while on the deck watching hummingbirds, chipmunks, and deer.

Our bathroom amenities include towels, robes, soaps, and hair dryer. You will also be pleased that for the comfort of our guests our toilet features a heated seat!

Our cabin includes air conditioning, heating, and a large up-front gravel parking area with easy loading and unloading. Access to the cabin and parking area requires an AWD or 4WD vehicle.

This is the most welcoming host I’ve ever dealt with. It seems like he truly cares about your stay. He thinks of everything possible to make you as comfortable as he can. The photos do not do it justice, the cabin is absolutely beautiful and he supplies everything you need. The jacuzzi is absolutely amazing and the views are breathtaking. This was a perfect getaway.

The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful honeymoon. The cabin was the perfect location- secluded and quiet but close to Burnsville and not a bad drive to Asheville. Mark had helpful suggestions for the area and was very responsive to any questions.

Mark is a top notch host. The stay was absolutely wonderful for my wife and I. Fantastic amenities, including the Hot Tub/Spa. Very secluded and a beautiful view of the mountains, with the town of Burnsville not far away, it makes it easy to commute back forth if needed. The beds were comfortable, the gas kitchen stove is wonderful, and the shower was nice and hot. Also, if you love wildlife, there's plenty of deer for your viewing pleasure. Would recommend 10/10.

We enjoyed our long weekend at this beautiful property, everything was perfect and as described in the listing. Mark is an incredibly accommodating host and very attentive to anything we could need or want. The view from the hot tub overlooking the meadow was astonishing, especially with all the deer and chipmunks we saw. I would definitely stay here again.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Mark's cabin in North Carolina. From the moment we arrived, Mark made us feel so welcome and at home. Communication was clear, friendly, and prompt, and every detail of the cabin showed how much care was put into making guests comfortable. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and perfect for a relaxing getaway with the spa jacuzzi. I had an amazing time! It was just what I wanted. Mark, the host, went above and beyond! I was so amazed at the service: the amenities, the peace, the quiet. The cabin has some great features, and a lot of care was put into my stay! 10 Stars! This is my first time using Vrbo, and this experience was so fantastic, I don't think I will ever need to stay anywhere else when I visit the mountains! Highly Recommended!

Wedding Anniversary Getaway

My wife and I visited 1108 Riddle Branch Road for the 3rd time and it was a very relaxing vacation. The cabin was very clean and the furnishings were extremely comfortable. The hot tub was so relaxing and the mountain views were spectacular! Our host, Mark, took us on a "restoration tour" of Burnsville in his UTV and it is amazing how much progress has been made by local, state and federal authorities on restoring the roadways and bridges. Thank you for another special getaway, Mark!

Best getaway spot ever!

This was the best stay I've ever had. The house and property are goegeous!! Mark was a wonderful host and clearly takes pride in sharing his property and giving folks a great experience. My favorite part was relaxing in the hottub and the amazing views from the porch. The house has everything you need for a wonderful relaxing stay. I can not wait to visit again!

Clean and So Quiet

This was one of the best vacation rentals we have ever rented. The house is very, very nice. It was spotless and very well-appointed. Mark was extremely friendly. We loved the hot tub!!! It was an excellent vacation, and we will definitely be coming back!!

Quiet Getaway, Just What We Needed

We were looking for a secluded getaway as a respite from our busiest time of year at work, and it didn't disappoint. We were greeted with warm hospitality and more essentials than I've ever had provided in another rental. The layout is secluded with scenic views but very drive-able to local trails/outposts/city for days you want to get out and explore. I'd highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy the nature and beauty western Carolina has to offer!

Mountain Vacay

We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful surroundings and cabin. The host went above and beyond to make us comfortable during our stay. He was extremely helpful and responsive to our needs. Great quiet getaway

This little cabin was perfect for me and my wife. It’s a little trek up the mountain but we actually preferred that as it gets you up and out of busy areas. The cabin itself was cozy,quiet, and very clean, Mr. Mark, the host, was available to show us how to work the spa and other appliances. In the mornings we were able to eat breakfast and watch deer out on the side yard. Overall we had a great experience.

Wedding Anniversary Getaway!

My wife and I returned to our favorite vacation cabin and enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing vacation. The cabin is very clean and nicely appointed and the luxurious hot tub was soothing after returning from hikes along the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our host was amazing and made sure we were comfortable during our repeat visit. 3 deer visited us every evening and our host led me on a several mile hike of the Appalachian Trail! The views were breathtaking! Mark, thank you for helping create wonderful memories and we look forward to our next visit!

Anniversary weekend

My wife and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary. The host Mark was very thorough in explaining how everything works and maintained communication throughout our stay to ensure everything was well and asked if we needed anything. The cabin was very clean and just as described. The hot tub was fantastic. We enjoyed sitting on the porch reading and relaxing with the mountains in the distance. The water feature was a nice touch for a relaxing experience. If you are looking for a nice couples cabin in the mountains this was a great choice.

I was fortunate to retire early and explore the mountains of Western North Carolina. Living in Florida most of my life I was always a fan of the mountains. I lived here several years before I realized that the Appalachian Trail was above the property. My niece came to visit and we hiked up the north side of Riddle Branch and before we knew it we were on the trail. Riddle Branch Cabin sits at 3700' and the trail is 5000' plus. I joined the Appalachian Trail Conservancy and am a member of the Carolina Mountain Club. I currently am a Trail Maintainer and manage a 3.6-mile section behind the property from Little Bald Mountain south to Big Bald Mountain. My section also includes a shelter, privy, and two water sources.

When I first started looking for mountain property in North Carolina I had a wish list of 10 items. Riddle Branch had 14! The pluses were the view and acreage. I also did not expect to be so close to the Appalachian Trail or have several springs on the property. I enjoy walking down to the end of the driveway and listening to the sounds of Riddle Branch. There is something to say about rippling water cascading over the boulders and rocks. My family and friends have enjoyed Riddle Branch Cabin, mountain air, and the sounds of nature. Come visit and enjoy!

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

Riddle Branch Cabin is the perfect spot to unwind and unplug. You may hear some roosters or donkeys from the valley below but mostly it will be just the wind and birds. There are no coffee bars nearby or exciting night life...other than nature itself! I enjoy watching the deer. The chipmunks will forage for acorns while the birds swoop down and pester them into their burrows. You can relax in the spa, listen to music, and appreciate nature's entertainment. Please note that due to our mountain remoteness our gravel driveway does require an AWD vehicle
