If you are looking for a place to get away and defrag from your busy life, This A-frame cottage offers all the comforts of home in a quiet, secluded area that has been described as refreshing and renewing. Surrounded by captivating views and the sounds of nature and within minutes of local shopping, dining, year-round festivals as well as the historic Capitol Theatre, youā€™ll quickly see why our guests become family. Sit by the campfire and make some sā€™mores! (Chairs and Firewood provided)

Everything about this house was amazing! There were plenty of blankets/towels. It was relaxing sitting by the fireplace and the lit Christmas tree in the living room. Would highly recommend it

Quaint and Quiet

Stayed for 4th of July Weekend for a nice, quiet weekend away from Baltimore and enjoyed the local fireworks, quiet evening, and grazing cows. It was isolated, but not too far from stores. Was exactly as described, and enjoyed the grill and fire pit!

The amenities were as nice as any place we've ever stayed. The location was great; secluded with cows as neighbors but only minutes from Chambersburg. We were lucky to have perfect weather and made ample use of the deck.

Great Cabin!!!

Our stay at this property was excellent. Nice quiet location and a beautiful cabin. All items in the property were top shelf, from the furniture to the faucet. Great communication with owner and I would recommend this property to anyone needing somewhere to stay in the Chamberburg area.

Loved our 2 night stay at Cedar Hill cottage. Secluded off the main road on a beautiful piece of property. Selena was a gracious host who was readily available to answer any questions we had. This cottage is full of amenities that we thoroughly enjoyed. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

Our stay in the Cedar Hill Cottage was certainly represented well by the website photos and was in a very pleasant location in the rural outskirts of Chambersburg. The wonderfully stocked kitchen and bathrooms certainly made our stay easy in terms of fulfilling all our needs, and the cleanliness of the house overall was evident upon first entering the front door. We really liked the deck and view; cool in the shade and pleased by the woodsy surroundings! You can even see the distant Blue Ridge from the loft windows! Even though the basement took some getting used to for us southerners, we found the house to be a fantastic base from which to visit the Gettysburg and Antietam Battlefields.

The layout of this house is fun for my kidsā€”with the loft and the spiral staircaseā€”and works really well for my family. This was our second time to stay at Cedar Hill Cottage and we enjoyed it just as much as last year. The yard is well-kept and great for playing catch and paper airplane competitions.

Direct and to the point. My wife and I travel quite a bit and generally stay in VRBOā€˜s this place is the nicest that we have ever stayed in. Itā€™s very modern and the attention to detail amazes me. This is the second time weā€™ve stayed there and Iā€™m taking pictures and notes as itā€™s going to help me build the cottage we want to build for ourselves. Highly recommend this location. Sidenote, it has one of the best beds Iā€™ve ever slept on!

Fantastic Getaway

Our 2nd stay at this beautiful quiet cottage - last time was in 2022 and since then the owners have put in a new deck, new kitchen appliances, and coffee bar. Spotlessly clean as before, everything well kept up and in working order, and (what we love best) a beautiful quiet location. Close to Chambersburg stores & restaurants but you can easily spend the day enjoying the peaceful surroundings from the front deck or thru the front windows. Loved it, loved it, loved it and hope to get back again.

Absolutely stunning property

I was only in town for a couple nights and wasn't concerned about anything fancy. The price of this place fit the budget I had, but exceeded my expectations more than I can even begin to explain. I honestly didn't even want to leave the house. The loft and fire place and basement and porch were such a welcome surprise. And the location was so relaxing.

Beautiful house, incredibly clean and well maintained, with a beautiful view. Excellent hosts. Very well stocked, particularly the coffee bar and kitchen. Really, we felt like personal friends of the host. Plenty of books and games for all ages. Our family of four was very comfortable and had a wonderful weekend away from the city. We really enjoyed our stay at Cedar Hill. It's located in a beautiful, quiet setting that's not far from local dining, shopping or attractions. The outside of the house is well kept which continues to the inside. When we entered, the first thing we noticed was how clean it was. It was obvious that a high attention to detail was used in the design and build of the cottage. It is well stocked with most of what you need and has a great coffee bar. We highly recommend staying here and plan on returning in the future!
