Pure relaxation and recuperation in the Vila Fantastica and on the Costa Vicentina

In our beautiful Vila in the middle of the nature reserve Costa Vicentina near the wonderful bathing and surfing beaches Arrifana and Monte Clerigo you can also spend an unforgettable vacation. Local plants adorn the garden on the approx. 1000 sqm plot with its own pool (8m x 4m).
Up to 8 people can enjoy their self-cooked delicacies outside at the covered dining area. Sun loungers at your own pool are available between activities for relaxing and sunbathing.
The Vila Fantastica leaves nothing to be desired on a living space of approx. 170 m².
High-quality furniture and furnishings await guests in the spacious living and dining area.
The beautiful, bright kitchen invites you to try out regional culinary delights. Or you can use the outside grill to prepare fresh fish.
A brick archway leads guests into the sleeping area. The large bedroom has its own bathroom with shower.
The other 3 bedrooms share the large bathroom with a large sink and a bathtub.
From our point of view, the shower is very practical - right next to the pool with toilet and sink.
The sand remains can be rinsed off from the wonderful beaches.

Casa acolhedora e muito funcional

Casa acolhedora, com todas as comodidades para umas ótimas férias. Áreas interiores muito espaçosas (ideal para crianças e carrinhos de bebé). Piscina com ótima exposição solar (no verão tem sol o dia todo). A Kate foi uma anfitriã 5 estrelas, sempre disponível para ajudar se necessário. Pormenores de check in acima da média : oferta de produtos de boas vindas; detergente e esfregões novos na cozinha; toalhas para a piscina. Recomendo vivamente.

Cozy and spacious home

The house was very clean, the living room is great and with lots of room. Don't worry about the air conditioning, you won't need to turn it on. The days were very hot and the house kept the air fresh at a very confortable temperature. We had a 2 month baby with us and the temperature was not an issue. Just mind that if you enjoy a couple of drinks outside there are a few mosquitos that can bother you, specially at night - but nothing critical. The swiming pool was very clean and a lady came several times to clean it as well. Kate, the host, was very friendly and available if you need anything. Strongly recommended!

Óptimas férias

Zona calma, praia perto e maravilhosas, boas opções de restauração na zona. A casa tem espaço p as crianças e é óptima! Se for preciso qualquer coisa é prontamente resolvido pela Kate. Férias a repetir!

Villa fantástica!

We had a very pleasant stay in the Village. The place is very calm and relaxing. The hostess is very nice and all that we asked was arranged right away. One thing to improve: washing machine inside the house! When you travel with 3 children for 10 days you need to wash clothes! Also it’s important to tell the situation with mosquitoes ... if there is no wind there are tons of them on the street! The house is prepared for them, but if you leave a for open you are doomed. Also the house has a well equipped cousin - nothing is missing, even sugar and salt!

Ein kleines Paradies

Wir waren zu acht in der Vila Fantastica. Es ist unglaublich geräumig. Die Küche ist perfekt eingerichtet - es hat hier wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Kate hat sich um all unsere Wünsche gekümmert. Danke auch für den Willkommenskorb! Der Außenbereich ist fantastisch. Herrlicher Pool, Schirme, Liegen, Grill - alles da. Besonders wertvoll ist tatsächlich die Außendusche. Die haben wir oft genutzt und hatten damit keinen Sand in der Wohnung. Die Strände in der Umgebung sind herrlich. Danke für die Tipps mit Kindern! Zwei Kleinigkeiten hätten wir zur Verbesserung: Die Matratzen in den Zimmern (außer im großen Schlafzimmer) sind aus unserer Sicht viel zu hart. Da wäre ein Austausch klasse. Ansonsten hätten wir uns einen Kescher für den Pool gewünscht. Durch den Wind war der Pool manchmal etwas verschmutzt und wir hätten ihn natürlich sauber gemacht. Vielleicht kann das angeschafft werden. Trotzdem ist die Vila Fantastica uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert und ich bin mir sicher, dass wir noch einmal wiederkommen werden. Thank you, Kate!

Schönes Haus in ruhiger Lage

Wir verbrachten eine schöne Woche als Familie in der Vila Fantastica. Alles war perfekt. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und sauber. Der Poolbereich ist toll, besonders zweckmäßig ist die Außendusche mit WC. Die Kommunikation vor der Anreise und vor Ort war reibungslos und unkompliziert. Vielen Dank Kate!

Nice place close to surf spots

We've had a really great time at the house - very clean, spacious and Kate was super helpful with recommendations. 5 minute drive away from supermarkets, 15 minutes drive to Aljezur and two of the beautiful beaches surrounding this place. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Great hosts, pleasant house

The house is great, clean and the hosts helped us a lot during our stay. The appliances could be renovated and some mattresses as well. But in general we had a great stay and would recommend the house!

Perfect location for families at Portugal SW coast

House rating: 5 Stars Location rating: we love the alternative and remote surf area of Aljezur / Carrapateira with relaxed atmosphere & different understanding of individual holidays .....completely different to Albufeira, Faro etc ...so if you are looking forward to this type of holidays ....Villa Fantastica with pool is a perfect match Contact/ Kate: to keep it short = lovely, 5 Stars, guess we did not require a lot of support as we have stayed already several time in this area...

Spacious, pleasant property with room for improvement

One the positive side we did have a lovely holiday. The area around Aljezur is lovely and the beaches are stunning. The property itself is in a quiet location on a residential estate. There are no shops or other facilities nearby so driving is a must. There are a couple of restaurants about 25mins walk away and a very small supermarket as well - although you'll need to head into Aljezur for your main supplies. The house is spacious and well equipped with plenty of kitchen utensils. It was nice to have some basics such as salt and pepper available. All the appliances you'll need are available. There are a couple of disappointing maintenence issues do be dealt with: the sofa has a funny smell, the outside shower was clogged. The handrail with access to the pool is loose. Beware of the pool and suggest you insist on regular maintenance. During our stay the pH levels and chlorine levels were way off which led to the children complaining of the effect on their eyes. We had to buy goggles. This was mentioned to the person who was our contact but not really resolved before we left - although they did appear to try. The pool was vaccumed twice during our stay. The other problem to be aware of are the mosquitos. The house is well equipped with mosquito nets but they are vile and plentiful. This ment we were unable to use the outside eating space during our stay, particularly in the evenings, and the entire family got bitten multiple times. Keep the doors closed at all times! I also suggest you get clarify from the management people what is the criteria to return the security deposit. We had an amount withheld for cleaning - which was no more than some plates left from breakfast on the last morning. This isn't clear at all either in on Home Away or on the property guide. Check-in / checkout was unremarkable. In short: nice property, quiet location. Shame about the mosquitos, the pool and the unexpected retaining of part of the deposit.

Smell Sofa: - This has not been mentioned by any previous guests. The sofas are both leather and new. We have checked both sofas and there condition are fine. Outdoor shower: It would have been nice to report this to the administration right away, and not afterwards at the check out and in the rating. This problem was resolved straight away! Handrail pool: Is a bit loose, but the function is given. This is issue will be improved. Water quality pool: Unfortunately, it does not work without chlorine. The administrator controls this at every service. In this regard, there were no other previous complaints. Mosquitoes: No special theme of the Vila. Depending on the weather, mosquitoes can be there or not. The Vila is very well protected by the mosquito nets on every door and window. Withheld deposit: Cause for the hassle and the negative rating! It was not just a few plates, but the whole work surface of the large kitchen was full of used dishes. Also garbage bags, bottles and cans were around! The gas stove was very dirty. The administrators had to work 3 hours before the standard cleaning could be carried out. This additional expenditure was withheld from the deposit.

Ein Traumurlaub 😊tolles ,sehr gepflegtes Haus in ruhiger Lage und tolle Strände in der Nähe

Schon die Begrüßung mit einer sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Kate inklusive einem Willkommensgruß (Wein ,Obst und Gebäck)war gelungen .Kate und ihr Mann waren stets erreichbar und gaben tolle Urlaubstipps .Die Gegend um Alljezur kannten wir schon aus dem letzten Jahr. Wir fühlen uns dort sehr wohl und hatten mit diesem Haus richtig Glück gehabt.Ein sehr schönes ,liebevoll eingerichtet und gepflegtes Haus.Unbedingt empfehlenswert!!!!!vielen Dank nochmal an Kate 😘

Heerlijk familiehuis met alle voorzieningen die je nodig hebt

Fantastisch zwembad, fantastisch huis, grote keuken, en ruim groot huis. Alle voorzieningen zijn aan gedacht. Goede bedden. Kinderen waren blij met extra speeltjes in zwembad! 2 badkamers ook handig. Goede ligging, dichtbij 2 mooie stranden. Gelukkig ook klein supermarkt dichtbij. Goed ontvangen door Katy die ons nog extra tips gaf. Vaak met kids naar naastgelegen restaurant José geweest voor het tafelvoetballen! Prettig verblijf gehad!
