The Stone House with Beautiful Sierra Views - 30 Minutes to Tahoe


Recently remodeled, 4-bedroom 2.5 bath, 2100 sf two story home that overlooks the Sierras and Carson City. Built on a hillside, the front door enters the upper level which contains the living room, kitchen, master bedroom with an en-suite bath, laundry room and a half bath. The downstairs has three bedrooms, a full bath and a family room with French doors that lead out onto the South patio. It is fully furnished with a well-stocked kitchen. The 600 sf upper level deck offers great views. The three paver patios surrounding the house offer over 1400 sf of outdoor living space. You can always find a shady spot to relax and enjoy the passing wild life which may include rabbits, deer, coyotes, horses, and a variety of birds. Our home is next to Federal BLM land. You can bring side by sides and atvs and ride to Virginia City. Centrally located. The house is close to Reno, Lake Tahoe, Virginia City and many world class ski resorts and golf courses.

No parties, gatherings or get togethers are allowed at this rental. The total amount of registered guests and visitors shall not exceed 10 people. No exceptions.

Due to the second-floor deck and steep staircase, no children under the age of 13 are allowed.

This property is as pictured on the VRBO site! Beautiful views great kitchen all the rooms are always clean centrally located in Carson City. This was the second time we stayed in love this home. We will be back.

The property was in a perfect location. Super spacious and comfortable. The house had so many amenities in the kitchen to accommodate our meal prep and dinners. Very clean and well maintained property. The house is close to grocery stores and the wild life wondering in the yard was amazing - deer, rabbits, lizards & quail.

Amazing stay!

The house was beautiful, very comfortable. We loved sitting out on the deck and enjoying the view. It is in a very quiet neighborhood with beautiful views of the mountains. The hosts were very responsive to any questions that we had. We had no issues or concerns with anything during our stay. I would highly recommend this house to anyone visiting the area!

This home was very beautiful and comfortable. It is clear there was great care taken to every detail. I appreciate our hosts that made it even more memorable by providing flowers, champagne, and a balloon to congratulate us on our anniversary ❤️

Awesome location!

The house is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. My family really loved all of the outdoor spaces. It was so nice to sit outside after a long day of exploring. The house is about a 30 minute drive to Lake Tahoe, Reno, and Virginia City. There is a Walmart and numerous restaurants 5-10 minutes away. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and communication with the host was really warm and welcoming!

Very spacious, comfortable and well-provisioned house.

We enjoyed our stay at this property in Carson City on the occasion of a family wedding. Close proximity to Lake Tahoe, Carson City center, and the excellent swim center in town. Very comfortable beds in the two bedrooms we used, and overall the house was very well and thoughtfully provisioned with plenty of towels, kitchen & bathroom supplies, and even a thoughtful "In case you forgot" basket of personal necessities. Great outdoor spaces that we did not have occasion to use this time, but we would definitely consider staying here again.

Awesome Stay!

What a lovely place! Great location, spacious, beautiful views, completely decked out with every amenity. We saw horses, rabbits, quail, and an owl. Chris and Laura were so easy to communicate with. They supplied all the beach gear needed. They went out of their way to make us comfortable and happy. Had a wonderful week with the whole family. 5-stars!

You will love it!

Wonderful house with amazing views backing up to trails. Hike to the top and you see Washoe Lake. Plenty of outdoor space and incredibly relaxing. The kitchen is fully equipped - even has a blender and waffle iron. This house was great for my parents that cannot navigate stairs and small spaces well - only three stairs to get into the house and most amenities. I would definitely book this house again.

The men thought the place was very nice and loved the location. They probably would not rebook because the water temp downstairs was not warm enough and one bedroom had no egress and felt like a dungeon. Also the head space going down stairs was not adequate. I would recommend that this is disclosed. Thank you so much.

Great location with attention paid to details! Instructions, labels, everything you need( toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel….) AND arrival snacks. One of best host experiences we’ve had with rentals. We saw deer, rabbits, and quail from several days we were there, plus a charming lizard of some sort. Master bedroom is on the same level as kitchen with other bedrooms downstairs. Stairs to other bedrooms are steep so may not be suitable for all. So glad we booked this location

So Peaceful!

This is a great newly remodeled home that has a nice open floor plan design with awesome views. Everyone in my group enjoyed this home. We often sat out on the deck and saw several rabbits and quail roaming around. Take a short hike to the top of the hill from the backyard for another great view of the mountains. The neighborhood is also quiet and peaceful. The owners developed a quality remodel.

magical property

This house was even more impressive than the pictures.The views were incredible. Chris and Laura were fantastic I mean really fantastic hosts they provided a wonderful place with so many extras it is impossible to list all that they provide. The house was so comfortable and homey. They provide a place that leads to a fantastic vacation destination. Loved every minute that we spent there, and would not give a second thought to returning for another vacation. Thank You so much Chris and Laura.

Nice place but what a drag

No place to plug in the car. They had flat screen TVs but no service. Would not allow our new born twins to visit on Father's day. It is a good place to stay if you do not know anyone in Carson, but if you have family, you can't have them over. The house is on a dirt street, but is clean and has quail and cottontail rabbits about. The owners made it a real drag.

Shortly after Kenneth's arrival, he informed us that he had decided to throw a party. We reminded Kenneth that our house rules strictly prohibit parties. He was not happy and left us a bad review. "Smart" tv's are located throughout the house.

Beautiful gathering home

My extended family came from distant homes to attend my son's wedding and have a family reunion. The home was perfect. The large common area was great for being together and the large dinning table allowed for wonderful shared meal times. The kitchen was well stocked for meal prep and clean up as well as space to store our supplies. It was quite warm but the wide expanse of windows across the front allowed us to enjoy the view from the comfort on the air conditioned interior. It was nice to sit out on the deck in the cool of early morning. We reached out to Chris and Laura for one need and they were very responsive. Wonderful hosts.

Spectacular Views

This glorious gem is perfect and LOADED with everything a foodie or creature of comfort needs. The cleanliness and thoughtful details are so thought out and kind. The snacks and chilled water were the perfect treat for a long day of travel. If you are a hiker or ATV person-right out the back of the patio are the badlands. The view and the deck are amazing for early morning sunrise or beautiful twinkling lights. Close grocery and gas. The bakeries are not to be missed in Carson City. The Carson City Hot Springs and a brewery are in the same parking lot! Thank you for hosting us! We were so grateful to have a hot shower and comfy beds. The TV for netflix was appreciated! 30 minute drive to the Reno airport.

Golf getaway

This trip was for the purpose of playing in a 4 day golf event. With 4 adults we were looking for a great place to accommodate us. The Stonehouse was perfect! Upgrades through out the house and everything you need was there. In addition great views and comfortable indoor and outdoor furniture to enjoy. Gas grill and outdoor heaters were an extra bonus. Awesome place and our host made us feel very welcome. Hiking Skiing Golf all near Carson City and Lake Tahoe and Reno. 5 star stay. Would come here every time I had the need!

Stone House Heaven

The property was actually better than pictures and descriptions. Beautiful mountain views and various welcoming touches made our Family stay exquisite. The owners take great pride in their home and guest comfort which was evidenced by our feeling welcomed as if we were staying a a family members home.
