I appreciated my kids had a separate bedroom with twin beds

Great location for us as we stayed here on the way to movie my son into college. The condo was very clean and is very conveniently close to the center of town. The beds were comfortable and I appreciated my kids had a separate bedroom with twin beds. We will return for another stay soon.

Prime location

We had a mother/daughter trip to Santa Fe. This was the perfect location from town and appreciated the parking, which is tough in Santa Fe. Would absolutely stay there again.

Good location, Walk to Plaza

Also close to Ft. Marcy park for annual Zozobra festivities. We enjoyed our stay and were able to walk everywhere. We arrived late and property management walked us through the check-in process in the evening. Thank you for that as we were very tired from our day of travel.

unit needs attention

Property needs tlc. Furnace roars. Missing shower glass panel. Oven is tired.Location was terrific - easy walk to downtown and hiking trails. Management was not obtrusive and easy to work with.

Not so good

We have stayed at Fort Marcy many times and have loved our accommodations. This time, number 3 had mold in the shower, floors were dirty, and the furniture was falling apart. We were very disappointed with our two night stay.

Got a call from the property manager the day of arrival indicating the property we rented was not available and they would put us in a unit that had stairs. We booked a single level unit based on the description as we had 3 people in their 70’s and one that was 86. The agent mentioned that we did not put this information in our comments. ??? We booked the unit based on the description of the property.When we arrived they put us in the original unit we booked which was good until we got to the unit. The couch was bowed and when you sat down you were pushed to the middle of the couch. The barrel chairs had the fake leather was peeling off. There were holes in the of the second bedroom. There were spider webs throughout the unit. Half the glass door on the secondary bathroom was missing. We were planning on staying 2 nights but only stayed 1. We went to the office and they refunded us the second night.We would not stay at this property again.

Received a different house than reserved

Clean and comfortable. Terrific for our overnight stay. Our only issue was that we received a different cottage than we had reserved. Our reservation was for a king size bed in master and two singles in the 2nd bedroom. Received king and a queen bed. Four adults including an 18 year old and her mother. Because we were on a short time frame that evening we decided to leave the situation as we received it. No harm done, however, it wasn’t what we had booked. Other than that, we were delighted with the accommodation.

A little old, but a lot cozy

The property is old and in need of repairs, but they keep it up “just enough” to make it “nice enough”. In each bathroom there were openings in the ceiling which had a clear plastic which was taped to the ceiling, this clearly needs to be taken care of. The couch in the living room is sunken in, in the center and the 2 chairs are peeling away at the arm rests (this also needs to be updated). However the stay was nice and enjoyable. Me and my 3 friends had a nice bonding trip. The condo is situated in a woodsy area and is peaceful. Therefore, if you don’t mind little minor nuances, you’ll likely enjoy your stay. However, if you are hoping for a 4 star retreat, this place is likely not for you.

Wonderful location

As advertised you can easily walk to the plaza, and we enjoyed the pool and hot tub on property. The complex is atop a hill so you'll be navigating stairs and a noticeable incline on your way back from the Plaza but it was not too bad. Excellent and easy check-in and check-out process once you find the main office. The complex was very quiet and peaceful; we had no trouble going to bed early when we needed to. The well-maintained landscaping/patios opening to the walkway encouraged greeting/chatting with neighbors. We stayed with our son (6) and really appreciated the city park with playscape also within walking distance . We also liked being on 475 so it was just a right turn out of the complex and you're already on your way the National Forest/Hyde State Park with many excellent hiking options. My only feedback is this unit could use a minor refresh. We enjoyed our stay and loved the location, but if we returned I might select a "fancier" listing for just a little more money. As mentioned in other reviews the couch sags quite a bit toward the middle, a piece of trim was popped off in the bathroom, the twin beds were a little squeaky, one of the toilets required some extra jiggling of the handle to stop running. We didn't try but I'm not sure if we could have set up a streaming app on the TV if we wanted to. Nothing was so serious to detract from the trip, but if rest and relaxation is going to be a big part of your trip you might want comfier places to lounge.
