We do want to clarify for future guests that our listing is very upfront about there being two separate rental units on the property, so guests are aware of the setup before booking. We’re sorry Kathy feels this way, but her review leaves out important context. From the evening she arrived, we repeatedly asked what resolution she was seeking and specifically asked what she wanted us to address during her stay. We followed up again the next morning to make sure she was comfortable and ask if there was anything we could improve. When Kathy reported the shower liner and back door, we sent someone to the property. The liner was replaced and the door was cleaned. When she reported the oven, we had it checked, confirmed it was not heating properly, apologized, notified the owner, and let her know the second oven had been tested and was working properly. The ice maker and filtered water are not advertised amenities, and the physical size of the shower is not something we can alter during a stay. We also disagree with the statement that she was “offered no resolution or refund of any kind.” We repeatedly asked Kathy what resolution she wanted. She never requested a refund, asked to cancel the remainder of her stay, or told us she wanted to leave. When she identified actionable concerns, we addressed them. We regret that the property was not the right fit for Kathy, but we stand behind our responsiveness and the efforts we made throughout her stay.
